Great design, but the colours and style it looks a little like a google product. (picassa, drive, even chrome logos seem similar to this)

Consumers/Investors want something thats recognizable right now. Current QRK logo is too similar to these:

Its a decent concept, but what i meant was is there was too much going on with nothing really catching your attention. In my opinion there should be more colors than Black and Grey.

We already have ℚ but has anyone being able to design a ASCII character from scratch?

We're barely scratching the surface here guys, we need more submissions of ASCII symbols, check how Bitcoin had many before reaching a final decision: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin_symbol

Why is it important to have an ASCII character? Because it celebrates Quarks as a real currency like: $, £ — and rival BTC too!

Why is that important? The logo and the currency symbol MUST match. It will help us get RIGHT logo for Quarks.

I found this tutorial, and I'm working on a version myself, but would love to see how other people approach this project.
