for me i just found another addicting game like playing video games or online gaming to quit gambling but for you i don't know but i recommend you to find another hobby to focus on like sport, games, girls

and other more. their are many hobby to distract you with ease up that gambling because it makes you poor but i admit it is really fun to play but too much of it.. is bad.

It is really hard to quit gambling especially when a person is really making it as a habit always. And we are thinking that is just as easy like we are saying that, "quit gambling by doing this.... or by doing that..." the hardest part of quitting gambling is the application of all our suggestions to the person who really wants to quit.

There are a lot of ways to quit gambling.

First by asking for an emotional support from your relatives,
Next is to limit the amount you used to, in betting in gambling sites.
another thing is to restrict yourself on using the internet, as it is one of the way to play gambling games.

But the most effective way is to slowly put tolerance and control over your self especially on your decisions and actions when you are in the game.

I like your idea, but what you are telling is the truth, if a gambler wants to stop then he has to initiate , then only other can help him, if not only the bankrupt option will only work for him to leave the gambling addiction.

but because gambling can be addicted the next option after losing your own money is to steal it from someone or to lend and promise to pay but it wont happen because you will keep on trying your luck to win back your loses and since you are getting addicted greediness will follow letting you to keep on playing until you lose over and over again, so quitting is not an option quitting is a must do before you get addicted.

I used to have a neighbor who is so addicted to gambling. The guy even got his wife hooked on gambling too. So the problem just got bigger for them. I don't see them very often because they would spend days on the casino. Lately, I have not seen them because I found out that they have not been paying their rent for the last three months. That is just one of the ugly stories about gambling and how hard it is to quit it. Sometimes, it takes more than admission of the problem and a life changing event before one calls it quits. Some even take the easy way out and end their lives to cause no further damage to others.

If you are really addicted to gambling and you are at the point were it is going to wreck your life the you should stop because there is almost no coming back.
You need to find some help and quit giving out money to gamble and save it instead.

At first attempt, try to do the 'superman' mode. That's totally stopping gambling. You'll surely be able to do this for a couple of days, you're very lucky if you could continue it for a long time.

It's likely that you'll not be successful at that because people on Reddit have tried that method and most of them failed. On your second attempt, try gambling every now and then. Try to do it periodically so you'll be able to discipline yourself. For example, every wednesday and friday, you'll gamble. On the other days, you will not. If this is effective on you then try dropping a day, in an instance, instead of gambling every wednesday and friday, you'll just gamble on Fridays. Eventually, gambling will not be a necessity to you.

Just a heads up, quitting an addiction is not an easy thing to do. All the possible plans might be all direct and sound good but it's actually keep yourself determined to quit gambling.

Having a girlfriend could help you but in my opinion you may end up being dependent on her and that is bad for any relationship, so be very careful about this.
