I don't think races are a fiction. Genetics differences are strong and proven. It's the obvious result of evolution.

But the fact is  that:
1/ Genes have a much less important influence over an individual than his environment. The race is not really important, what's important is where how and with who one will live.
2/ Races are like big boxes in which you place people. But most people can't be put in one box, they're the mix of multiple races and origins, all you can say is that they have the physical similarites with such or such race that's all.
3/ Differences mean you can classify them of course. Some are better than other. But you've got to compare on the base of something that is directly genetic-related!!!! So I don't know maybe you can prove that caucasian are genetically better at swimming xD But yu can't talk about global superiority, that wouldn't have any sense.
