Well, we are talking to several exchanges and other service platforms like swap services and fiat gateways, but we avoid fake volume exchanges and/or exchanges that ask excessive listing fees.

We noticed that on the smaller exchanges that listed Rads over the last year, there is hardly any liquidity.  One of the reasons for that is that most liquidity is sitting on Bittrex and people are comfortable with that.  We can understand, Bittrex is a very reputable exchange.  Another reason is that we have a loyal staking community that prefers to stake with their coins rather than putting them on smaller exchanges, which makes sense so those community members don't want to offer liquidity.

So we changed our strategy and are now aiming to get as many Bittrex partners as possible that share the Bittrex's order book.  That way we can spread awareness of Radium into other regions in the world like eg Asia and guide more people to the Bittrex market in the hope to increase liquidity and trading activity.

So far three Bittrex partners joined and listed Radium:
- VCC (Vietnam)
- Bitmonex (Mongolia)
- Bitvoicex (Taiwan)

Swap services (SimpleSwap, StealthEX) and fiat gateways (Litebit.EU and Cryptomate) also use the Bittrex book.

Our 2nd biggest 'family' if we can call it like like that is Upbit which is another real volume exchange.  Radium is listed on Upbit Korea and Upbit Indonesia.  Unfortuantely the Radium wallet has been down for many months as they are rebuilding their legacy system after the exchange got hacked at the end of last year.  We are in contact with them and the wallet should come back online later this month or next month, according to them. We also requested a RADS/KRW pair for Upbit Korea as a RADS/BTC pair is not that useful over there.  A KRW pair will create much more trading activity and thus volume which might increase liquidity as well.
We will have to wait and see if Upbit can deliver.

We have a few very strong partnerships going like Mycointainer (staking pool) and StakeSafe (sells preconfigured Radium PI).  They have been very reliable and productive partners.  We are also working together with another official partner: the University of Texas at Arlington, to work on the layer 2 solution (The Smartchain) to combat fraud with eg the diploma use-case, but the pandemic has slowed things down for the moment on that front.  It gives us time though to finish the mainchain code base upgrade which is needed as it was getting outdated.  Once that's done we will put more focus on the layer 2 again.

There's another partnership in the making that I can't talk much about yet, we will release an announcement and blog post when the time has come.
And we are looking into forming an alliance, more on that later as well.

EDIT: Forgot to add, the new codebase supports atomic swaps so we should be able to get on a few more DEX. Talks with eg Block DX Exchange have already been started and have been positive so far.

Wow, thanks for such an extended reply SteamboatG ! Nice to see that Radium team keeps working on new features and partnerships for the projects.

I totally support "fewer but better" approach when it comes to exchanges. Smaller exchange are not only useless in tearms of volume, they also have a bigger chance of shuting down due to lack of that same volume.
And hopefully Upbit doesn't disappoint, it's a pretty decent exchange. Oh, and Block DX has a great tech and is one of if not only one true DEX, so it's a good thing that you are keeping in touch with them.

I personally never had problems with Radium wallet and I've been using it flawlessly for a few years but new up to date codebase is always cool Smiley

Again, thanks for the update and best of luck with the project

Any time frame when this may be completed? Hopefully; we can get more volume and liquidity going forward. I worry about buying large amounts of a coin when it would be hard to sell. Any thoughts on this moving forward?
Security has always been a priority to us, so my answer to your qustion will be 'when it's ready'.  I know that's not what you want to hear, but I don't want to pinpoint us to a specific date.  That being said, it should be production ready within the coming 2-6 months I would think. As a matter of fact, I have been testing the new wallet over the last 3 weeks myself and it is working as intended.  It's our lead dev that makes the call when to release it though and we trust his experience and judgement.

I absolutely agree with you about liquidity and we are well aware of the issue.  See my post above regarding volume and liquidity.

It's a responsability of the community as well though, they need to provide liquidity and help spread the word about Radium.

The Radium codebase upgrade (+ wallet) is 85% complete and is expected to be released later this year. It will include:

Decreased syncing times
Less orphan blocks
Atomic Swaps
Staking reward tracker
Backwards compatible
...

Hey thanks for the update! Always nice to see tech improvements.

Maybe you can also shed some light on any new partnerships or listings? Roll Eyes

Radium is doing well on Mycointainer (staking pool) and is among the 5 most popular assets on the platform.  It's a good solution for people who can't or don't want to stake on their own PC:

Not sure about that one. I would say no...but you can check on the Discord channel or send the devs a message.

I remember about three years ago I bought radium at first time - this was one of my first coins that I traded, although not very successfully. How much has changed since then! And to be honest, I am very glad that I sold all my coins then, since then the price has dropped tensfold. But the development of the project still does not stop and it makes me happy.

We are aware Win Defender and some antivirus software flags the radium client exe file as a virus.  This is a false positive, there's not much we can do about it, just exclude the file in Defender.

To be absolutely sure you can always get the exe file verified on The Radium Smartchain, that's what it is designed for, to combat fraud using blockchain tech.

You just click 'verify a file' at the bottom and upload the exe file:
https://smartchain.radiumcore.org/records

You should see a window that says the file is known and it should be signed by jj12880 which is our lead dev.

Nodes used in last 24 hours for 1.5.17 wallet   ----

You can always find the actual active nodes list here - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/rads/#!network

Adding additional peers to your wallet is only necessary if the automated peer-discovery fails,
which is rare.
See how to do it in Radium Basic Setup Guide - https://radiumcore.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/BasicSetupGuide.pdf
