2*Xeon E5 2660 v2 give 7330h/s on RandomX with 1 thread per core (L3 cache = 25MB*2slots)
setting higher thread count will degrade performance of paired(on a single core) threads

celeron g3930 = 450H
i5 7400 = 1500H

Been out of the loop for a while and didn't realize that it was also GPU mineable. Looking at the scores it seems to be really CPU friendly.

I got some old single core Sempron and Celeron processors from the Litecoin days, anyone know what speeds you can expect with those ? Seems that the RX series is onpare to the other GPUs like with most other algos.

Regarding the CPU abuse, I think most weren't rented VPS or AWS but these were some infected botnet computers which mined in the background for unsuspecting people. This is actually the reason why they switched the algo originally from the original one that the coin was released in. Wonder how it will perform this time around.

AMD SEMPRON 2650 ~93 H/s - XMRig 4.4.0

yes. I think it will be popular algo/coin to abuse. xmrig is very light and efficient and it's ready with randomx:)

So my Ryzen 5 3600 stock, is doing 6100 h/s with 16gb 2400 MHz (4 sticks) on XMRig-4.3.1 beta.

Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU G3930 @ 2.90GHz runs around 400 h/s

I can confirm the numbers for a 3700X.  Mine is mining Loki at ~7000 H/s  atm.     Miner is XMRig 4.3.1-beta.
For comparison my old clunker PC with an i5 4460 CPU does 1450 H/s on the same algo/miner with 3 threads.

New feature was added to get some metrics

CPU vs CPU

https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info/cpuVScpu.php

The point of this feature is to measure average hashrate (H/s), average TDP, Hash per watts between two CPU Models based on RandomX benchmarks submited on site.

Also, Overclocking guides have been added for AMD Ryzen, FX, athlon, phenom & Intel (Kaby, Skylake, Haswell, Ivy, Sandy): https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info/miningSoftware.php#overclocking

I am so exciting about this, like mining Btc on 2009 LOL  Grin
Last time I hear news update about Randomx on youtube chanel Red Panda Mining 4 days ago, so let's see what happen on 17:00 UTC on 30th Nov

Indeed. Right now, there is a lot of enthusiasm regarding RandomX and mining which I didn't see from a long time. 2018 was a disaster as basically asics were deployed on all gpu coins.

Preliminary information thread regarding the scheduled protocol upgrade of November 30: https://np.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/d884zt/preliminary_information_thread_regarding_the/

This is a post on reddit, focused on intel: https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/dbhkzr/intel_cpus_are_junk_compare_to_ryzen_but_still/

Also, Just updated Mining software section added: youtubers, overclocking guides for AMD & INTEL, RAM setup, etc: https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info/miningSoftware.php

If VPS CPU mining will be available then there will be so many unused resources from a lot of masternode projects will have a good use too...
If the mn projects will pay for their VPS cost and even profit then it will be great.

CPU algo is insane only thieves that have organized crime abusing it will own 50%+ of the hash with VPS

VPS are already very restrictive on their TOS. Malware more than before will be targeting CPU desktop/workstations.

They are but if I with one CC can make 1000 VPS in 2-3 days, those deceptive ppl with 100+ stolen identities and cards can make at least 3x 100 more damage then i alone
And yeah botnets too

Lets get those CPUS back to work lol.

Still, I'm sure it's not going to be profitable at all.
Once XMR has moved to RandomX algo. The whole lot is going to switch to it as CPU is readily accessible to any.
Anyway, it is going to do wonders for securing XMR though.
