As we can all see, this is what perseverance can do to a certain individual. Regardless of how hard it is to gain merit these days, as long as you are making an effort or finding a way to earn it, you will make it to a higher rank. Lucky are those who were able to reach a high rank before the merit system took place, all they need to do was to increase their activity count and they will soon rank up right away. Those who entered whilst the merit system was already implemented needs to exert more effort and more legitimate and related posts just so they can earn merit, if you are gaining such still, just keep on going, you will soon rank up also.

I think some (new) users are getting the whole purpose of this thread all wrong, your 'goal' should not be to be like filliponne, but rather in developing sufficient Bitcoin and cyrpto knowledge (like he did), cause thats the only reason why filliponne is where he is in the forum at the moment, the 'goal' isn't solely merit earning, but quality forum contributions that will continually earn you merits effortlessly.Having said that, aspiring to be like filliponne isn't bad at all, but it doesn't just stop in "I'd like to be like you', you'll have to actually work towards it by showing your contributions on the forum are worth the appreciation of others, if you're unwilling to make the required effort or you're are in the network and forum to basically 'get rich quick', then there's no need for all these aspirations, cause they'll sadly not be achieved.

you barely post anything, so don't be surprised if you feel you can't achieve what he achieved. the thread's purpose is to show that with enough effort making your post informative, helpful, etc.. you'll get recognition which mostly meant merit. read the original post, you'll find tips given by him on what you can do in order to achieve your goal. Your right ranking up is not impossible if you post an constructive thread that can help to the other members in this forum no reason that you will not got merits for the other who valued your post.

Upping this thread as it might be of interest.
@theymos has just reshuffled the Merit Sources (MS) merit allocation, increasing them 65% overall.
He also created at least 14 new merit sources.

All these new sMerits are going to trickle down in the merit ecosystem and revive the merit circulation.
Newbies should look at your achievements and set this as their role model when it comes to joining discussions and other stuff. I have replied to this thread before and got merited. I truly believe that your achievements can be achieved by other forum users as long as every forum users who's rank is in lowest rank will not violate the forum rules even if it's not official. I registered on this forum 3 days later after you register and I the forum made me ranked up to sr. member. Be inspired or make them inspired. @theymos has just reshuffled the Merit Sources (MS) merit allocation, increasing them 65% overall.

Grinding activity is by far more difficult than grinding merits.
So today I clocked 994 activity and I finally became Legendary member.

Actually, if you look for the thread creation date in my merit history at the beginning of the OP , you will discover that I had fewer merits than you
I periodically update the count in order to represent the quickest merit stint in my own josdcareer.

Congratulations fillippone on your 5000th merit, I think when you started this thread, it was at 2900 merits (correct me if I'm wrong), that's an added 2100 merits since then, it's a feat that could only have been achieved via "knowledge circulation" as you have rightly put it, don't stop circulating that knowledge through creating informative threads, that helps to keep us abreast with new developments about Bitcoin and it's adoption by institutional Investors.
