Exactly we all develop our ways of ranking on the forum and making our contribution the way we like and have knowledge from time to time.You have created the thread to motivate the members how they can rank up on the forum but not exactly the way you have done it.The most important part is you make effective contributions to the forum by making useful threads, writing quality posts and having knowledge by reading good threads on the forum.

Speaking about merits then you are right on the part that there could be instant rally or slow growth over time and in my case also there was long delay in ranking up as was not having adequate knowledge till then but once I started learning new things and focus on improving my posting style the merits were given but there are some members who loose hope fast when they don't get merits but they need to realise with time they can achieve it and this thread don't focus on copying you style but just take an inspiration from it to continue their forum journey.

If you stick to this forum, you will rank very fast. But it was good to see your rank. You are at such a good stage because of the good work done for the forum.

I'm a fan of excellence and I must tell you, you have demonstrated high level of excellency so far in this forum. It's quite phenomenal how you attain such feats in a record time, but much more important how you were able to keep records of your progress. I knew about Bitcointalk since 2018 but didn't join until late last year. I stayed away for nearly 5 months before becoming active again. So, I can say I've only been 2 months active in this forum.

So far, I have achieved Member status and moving gradually towards Full Membership. Now, reading this will further fuel my desire to be excellent just like you and other great members.

I Learned these Key Points on how to be Excellent

1. Find a good social environment of which I believe this forum is a great social environment for all Crypto enthusiasts and beyond. Belonging in this forum provides you with enough comfort, respect and time to develop your talents.

2. Distribute your time judiciously by being active here and helping other in the best possible ways you can, while learning and growing.

3. Acquire an education that suits you. Choose the category that suits you most and try to be active there. It's better than trying to be everywhere at the same time.

4. Develop your creativity. There's no better way to develop your creativity than being very engaging. Staying on the fence won't help you grow.

5. Contemplate your work. Take a break from time to time to evaluate your work just as @phillippone has done with this thread.

By putting all these in place, we too may attain similar growth.

This is very much relieving for me reading. Cause for users like me that had/have a poor background about cryptocurrency trading even before I was first introduced to this forum, contributing in threads that discuss about Bitcoin was and still somehow very alien to me that I feel lost and incompatible to Bitcoin related threads atimes and this has made almost all my post focusing only on societal related matters.

I recently started giving myself to reading articles that talks about Cryptocurrency and its been very helpful, so I believe with time I can greatly contribute like everyone here in the forum too both with threads and comments.

Maybe you could suggest to new users about your research methods. How do you gather information and where to look for it. I have seen many news users try to contribute to this community and they just wasting their time on old things which have already been shared or discussed a lot of times. They are just stuck with a blank mind because they do not know what they should be looking for or where they will get something unique that could be shared.

Different ways are the key. You don't have to walk in my footsteps (something I can't particularity suggest for you)  if you aren't keen on working on knowledge.
If you look closely at my history anyway you'ìll find that I spent many months on the forum almost inactive. Only later, once I found the way to contribute to the community, did that meriting start happening.

I always like to have statistical comparison that helps us to evaluate the situation in more detailed way.Like we all see this thread about his growth but see how much he has grown on the forum within short span of time and still growing and that's only with his dedication and zeal to share his bitcoin and other crypto related knowledge with us.

On 15^th April he attained 9000 merits and as of now he is at 9619 merits which means he has gained 619 merits in only 54 days which is surprising because you can be Hero member from scratch and will only be lagging activity for the same so he is good at this and well deserved to him.

But i have said previously also we need to focus on how this is possible? Go through his post history and you will find out long threads explaining about bitcoin and other economical aspects related to it helping members on the forum which is why he has merits on his profile.I would say it's possible not easy as you have to be dedicated and spend your time enhancing your knowledge over these topics and then make your contributions to it.

Although we all have different ways and you could have slow growth in comparison to him but you should not loose hope and continue your way but it must be productive and effective for the forum as well as you that will help you to grow on the forum with merits on your profile.So keep your work high and hopes less and results would come eventually to you.

That will really be good not just for your ego pump but also as a reminder of how active and involving your knowledge bank have being increasing, i have been a student of this school of thought and i have recycled this steps and indeed have  achieved similar results even though i have not reached 2900 merits within my 12 months but am close to achieving something close to that and am much excited. With less than 40 days to my 12 months in this forum i have learn alot from studying and applying the guidelines shared on this thread.

You know when it comes to the ranking up pipeline, two things comes to play here and that is, the acquired activities and merits. Hwne it comes to activities, an earlier and active member might be of advantage but, its not the same when it comes to merit. Merit stands to distinguish that user would is actually not just being active but making a mark on the forum and you can be sure, he or she would rank up before the other user whom is just gallivanting the sqaures of the forum.

Take a tour into the bounty section of the forum and you would see a lot of them. With a registration date that goes back as far as 2014, with an activity to show for it but no actual achievement as per day rank nor mark on the forum.

Placing myself as an scale, I must say I have attained growth in a very short time, sequel to my first start on the forum. I practically left at a time, only to return and tried being focused and the growth came. All that counts towards how you take the forum and yeah, have been favoured by Fillippone too for my translation of one of his many useful threads. It's an avenue to impact and learn, let's do both.

This awesome achievement means how hard you have worked and the energy you have put in place to make sure you make quality and educative posts to the forum, it's a good one and any member wanting to grow should follow this good step I believe so many beginners will be motivated by this and they will be eager to learn and get better every day, don't stop doing the good work, you should do better now that you have a lot of newbies who will be learning from your post, Congrats.

This huge success is a result of great work, it can only be achieved by working hard, making numerous research and posting meaningful things related to Bitcoin, I am motivated by your achievement and my zeal to learn and do better has increased. You must have been consistent and brave to get to this height now, bravo.

Yes every day, everytime there's a new member here in forum and starting contributing by their own way and it's nice to see or to have with then cause they are the future of bitcointalk. Hope they will stay unlike other who post less then leave the forum.

This is open discussion forum where you might be a newbie when you registered on the forum and that's the title you have based on your activity, posts and merits but if we see it other way a person might be newbie on the forum but have far more knowledge than some legendary members who have this rank before the launch of merit system.

But if we see like you said newbies can surpass high rank members then there are many examples in the recent times where some users have gained merits very fast with their effective contributions to the forum and best example for it is @n0nce as you see he registered on 16^th Aug 2021 or say 292 days before but he has gained 2432 merits at the time of writing up this post and selected in ChipMixer campaign which is great achievement.So the knowledge is the only thing that will help you to attain everything on the forum and IRL but if you focus on it and are dedicated enough to learn about it.

Speaking for myself then after I started learning and giving my more attention to the bitcoin my posting improved as it was reflected through post quality and then you receive merits also as you are getting but Just be on path of learning and sharing on the forum.

The first category of the members learn through various post like this one of yours and have learning ability which helps them to rise on the forum and enhance their knowledge

The second category is just here for earning purposes asking for how to get merits,rank up just to join any campaign but ends up getting nothing because they are not ready to learn at all and hence when they don't get it they leave the forum as it's not fulfilling their sole purpose of earning and it's good because they were not useful in any case to forum.

But if you are having that leaning ability and are dedicated you can achieve it and you are perfect example for it.

We have both examples daily. We continuously see new members coming to the forum and starting to contribute in their unique ways. As we see many others coming, posting a few messages and then disappearing. Others even come only to spam.
The possibilities are endless: the choice is yours.

Yes. And I also came to understand that those who came today can pass those who were in the forum for years. There is nothing like first come first rank up. Someone registered since 2018 and still a newbie or member while someone came today and within 4 to 5 months the user is a hero member. All based on one's activeness, contributing to knowledge, educative.

Wow, will it be possible for me to get to this level? I don't think I may. Ranking up to this level is a far journey to accomplish. A day begins a story though, let me see how far I can make it in this forum.

What he has done is fascinating and TBH I was first motivated to increase my activity in the forum a few months ago by seeing this post. I think for the first time I read an OP that big(usually I avoided long posts if it's not educational that I am not familiar with) with full attention because I find it somehow more interesting than others. But I have to say the way he manages his post and arranges info in such an order that I need more time to learn to create something like it.

Don't worry. I will recycle this thread when I need a little pump to my ego.

@Fillppone deserves all the merit available on this forum, 👨 men! the guy is good and one of the most active users on the forum sometimes I wonder if users like @Fillppone really sleep. OP is good keep it up bro you serve as a motivation to must of us.

To all getting inspired from his journey it's good that you also want to have a zeal to grow in the forum but keep in mind you could get merit fast or slow but you didn't want to slow down your pace of contribution.This requires lot of efforts and as you can see he is dedicated and have shared lot of information with his detailed thread on the forum which has made it possible for him to rank up fast on the forum.
