It is great motivation for all the members to see @fillippone growth on the forum and we all can learn a lot from him and implicate those things in our posting styles. But what most of the members see is that he has gained enough merits like on July 24 he posted that he has now received 6000 merits on his profile to look it like even number and now see he is at 6271 merits at this time of writing the post on 19 August which is 26 days ahead he has gained 271 merits. This is really fast and he is one of the top merit gainers. But the main point of concern is that he registered on the forum in 2018 and within 3 years he has reached that levels how? The merits were not airdropped to him or given as gifts but he has gained them with his effective posting skills and becoming an asset to the forum.See his post history and you will find that how much he has contributed to the forum and when you will read his posts you will find in depth knowledge of the threads he has created as he gives all the details related to that information with proofs which are good enough to gain merits.

His forum stats are ofcourse very good if you look aside from merits also and he is being one of the top members of the forum which you can look here:

But also have a look at his post and you will get idea about the same of his journey:

5 Resources to teach average joe about bitcoin    - It has 54-55 merits

Is bitcointalk losing user base    - It has 70 merits in @OP post

Lightning Network Observer   - It has 59 merits in @OP post

Debunking bitcoin is an environmental disaster   - It has 40 merits approximately

Similarly he has made 120 threads with his registration on the bitcointalk in 2018 so you see it might seems that he has gained merits easily but he has worked for it by making effective contributions and being a helping hand for newbies providing useful information on many boards along with local boards.Above these he is top generous merit source on the forum and send many to other members.

We can also reach that level's if we are capable of it but we just need to acquire knowledge for the same and keep contributing in most effective manner which is the only way to gain merits ans the purpose of setting up this system by theymos. So give your time and you will see growth in your rank when you give the forum best you will definitely receive rewards for the same.It is open discussion forum and capable members can reach whatever levels they want.

So look at @fillipppone growth and try to learn from him and implement the same in your posting also.Rest he serves a great motivation for all of us.

The streak will surely be broken so don't worry about it and just keep the good work man Cheesy

I did not know that there is a website for analysis on merit. I just published here what I saw with my black and white eyes. And I was surprised to see so much.
Whatever it is, I am now waiting to see the new record for a streak of 54+ days.
You can also use https://bpip.org/ to gather such information from the forum. Type the name of the user you want to search on the + icon and the merit history, awards, posts, trust feedback comes up. https://bpip.org/ is resourceful search engine. Your eyes will be pleased to see so much Cornia
Btw I think you should edit the image size you posted, the information is not clear and therefore useless. Use this format to adjust image size

After seeing this topic i visited the merit summary of fillippone.

I can barely see anything from the image except the green color of the fillippone merit history. If you like posting image, keep the appropriate size neither too small nor too big and remember not to let us have to use a magnifying glass.

I saw the history of his received merit in August. Only on August 3 he did not receive any merit. He has received merit on all other days. That means he is contributing to the forum every day and there are very few contributor like him in the forum. If he earn merit in this way, it will not take much time to surpass LoyceV.

You almost made me choke.
Actually, I have been contributing to this forum for a streak of 44 days, as I have gained daily merits since June 30th. It's the second-longest current streak on the forum, after @Ratimov who si currently 10 days ahead of me at 54.
We are anyway very far from the forum record of 413.
The fact is that you probably put a time offset to your personal Look and Layout Preferences , so you are not seeing the official forum times.
You can find Received Streaks information at @ddmrddmr Merit Dashboard.

I just discovered this thread and it does nothing but motivate me. Yesterday I realized that of the merits I have earned, more than half have been in the last 120 days.

I doubt I'll ever reach half of fillippone's level, who if it weren't for the fact that he registered three years later than LoyceV, would probably be competing with him to be number 1 in terms of merit earned, but I do believe I can do better and better.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
This is nothing less than great.
Your chronicle is very inspiring, it didn't end there, you also detailed steps for lower ranking members not to only gain merits put to excel in our individual capabilities.
Surely, every low ranking member deserves to read this thread.
I went through your interview, from your responses, you weren't that much technical and not that interested in the money version of the system when you started. This could be seen when you said you weren't involved in any projects. Yet, you soared your way high in the forum.
Now I am confident to call you a bank in the forum.
Congratulations!

Ehi!
I even forgot to post my own achievement!

Wow finally on July 21st I managed to hit a major milestone:

I love round numbers, hope this is not the last one!
Round numbers are not going to last long, it will be better if we have merit lock button so that we can enjoy our achievement for a while before someone ruins it with merit rain. Cheesy

BTW one more to that non rounded number! Kiss

Keep moving to the top brother, and I will meet you up there.

<…> What I'm concerned about is them ending up as cheap imitation of filliponne and not growing into being the best version of themselves.

This is a particularly important point.
Ad @ddmrddmr beautifully explained, not only it would be pretty easy to spot someone trying to imitate the style of somewhere account, but this would be a terrible way to use your own energy and potential.

As I wrote in the OP, this was my path trough the merit system, but I am pretty sure there are many other successful ways to approach it, as it is also I think easily understandable from the most meritwise successful users here on the forum, who I think have pretty distinct ways of approaching it.

So the best thing you can do is find your own ways. It might not the most successful way in the short term, but for sure it’s going to payoff in the long term. And even if it turn out to be a meritwise disaster it will be a personal success. And this is the most important thing.

Not really likely to happen though (the imitation thingy). There are profiles here that have their own imprint that is not something people can mimic, let alone the time and savoir-faire that they put behind.

Generally speaking though, what one should take away is the characteristics such as perseverance, depth and broadness of the explanations provided by profiles such as the one been deal with here. These being qualities that can be technically mimicked from an abstract point of view, even if on a different scale.

The specific profile style is then like a fingerprint in some instances. Some accounts could open an Alt account, and you’d easily recognize them providing they post in the same manner, because of their style fingerprint. Others, you would not be able to tell apart from a large pool of similar type accounts, being their fingerprint faint.

this post motivating my self to became like you..
I think some (new) users are getting the whole purpose of this thread all wrong, your 'goal' should not be to be like filliponne, but rather in developing sufficient Bitcoin and cyrpto knowledge (like he did), cause thats the only reason why filliponne is where he is in the forum at the moment, the 'goal' isn't solely merit earning, but quality forum contributions that will continually earn you merits effortlessly.

Having said that, aspiring to be like filliponne isn't bad at all, but it doesn't just stop in "I'd like to be like you', you'll have to actually work towards it by showing your contributions on the forum are worth the appreciation of others, if you're unwilling to make the required effort or you're are in the network and forum to basically 'get rich quick', then there's no need for all these aspirations, cause they'll sadly not be achieved.
I think it is good newbies have someone to look up to. Filliponne sets a good model for newcomers, they don't have to see merits as something huge. I have people I study on the forum, how they communicate and their post delivery. This helps guide to differentiate between trash and good material.  What I'm concerned about is them ending up as cheap imitation of filliponne and not growing into being the best version of themselves.

As we can all see, this is what perseverance can do to a certain individual. Regardless of how hard it is to gain merit these days, as long as you are making an effort or finding a way to earn it, you will make it to a higher rank. Lucky are those who were able to reach a high rank before the merit system took place, all they need to do was to increase their activity count and they will soon rank up right away. Those who entered whilst the merit system was already implemented needs to exert more effort and more legitimate and related posts just so they can earn merit, if you are gaining such still, just keep on going, you will soon rank up also.
