Your leads look fantastic, like they were good fun to make. I was going to say you're missing some heatshrink tubing but I spotted it in your bottom pictures, and I can't rave about it enough. Get those solder joints insulated everyone, you can get mixed packs of the stuff from amazon and ebay dirt cheap, and it shrinks tight with the heat of a soldering iron perfectly.

I'm curious about why so many people are getting dedicated PSU's for a single board? Is there any particular reason you didn't want to just get an extended molex lead and run it from your PC psu, that is (presumably) a good one, already purchased, and on most of the time anyway?

Actually the miner run on TPLINK TL-MR3020 in my bedroom which had air conditioner while my PC on my shop. And i really don't want the PC to run 24 H  Grin
Right now the PSU supplying 2 x HEX16A, the HEX16A2 still not arrived yet.

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Ho Ho Ho. I hope all of you enjoy this holiday  Grin

While waiting for my HEX16A2, i make power connector for the miner which will get power from EPS 12V connector from PSU.
I use EPS 12 V because my PSU not fully modular & come with 2X EPS 12V connector, so waste to not use them Grin

Scam-Busting PSA: Beware of Black Arrow Software
When I click the start button, a red/orange led on the hex16a2 starts burning, the "work age" starts running, but no hashing occurs.
It's connected to a Corsair 430 watt PSU (30A on 12v) with nothing else attached to it, so that should be OK. (and yes, PSU is running by connecting the green and a black wire on the 24p plug)
I've tried 2 different USB cables, both didn't work.
The user on BTC guild works, I'm using the same (but with _1, this one is _2) for my AntMiner and it works fine.

I'm just confused about the proxy window, it shows all kinds of errors but they don't really make sense to me.... help help please

Firstly, check the technobits download page for 1.0.0.3, and then have a look at your settings. I'm on Slush's Pooling (mining.cz) which is the proxy default, conveniently enough. For ref, these are my settings, from a bit of trial of error, it does run hot (62deg C at chip if running stock) but fantastically stable, but I've added extra heatsinks and a quieter fan. I'd be interested to see what settings everyone else is running with too, see if we can refine down to a good working set:

I would really much rather have a working patch for/integration with CGMiner under windows than use HexMiner and the stratum proxy... anyone know if this is even on the cards?

Try uncheck bitfury option
Nope, didn't work. Shut down hexminer, disconnected the miner from both the psu and usb (to make sure it's reset)
Started hexminer, connected the miner and picked the comport, disabled the bitfury check, but same behavior. Work age starts running, speed and all others stay 00000 Sad

I hope it comes molex.  I am not positive which wires to strip.
I ordered 2 (2 different dates though)
One came with molex, other came without.
If you have to strip, get a yellow and black. Yellow is +12v, black is GND. You can just cut off any molex connector, strip yellow and black to connect, and tape the red and other black to make sure they don't touch anything.

Then cut down the require segment that match EPS 12V connector, replace the cable to meet power requirement.
Base on observation with HEX16A, using only 1 wire, the yellow wire on PSU side is little warm.
So i decided to use two wire & use 1,5 mm2 wire on miner side so loshia won't scold me  Cheesy

So whenever the HEX16A2 come with molex or terminal screw, it's doesn't matter  Grin

Okay can anyone help me please?
1 got 2 hex16a2 boards.
One came with molex (yay) one came without (yuk, now i have to cut cables...)

Anyway, I can't get them to run with hexminer. I've installed them (win7 x64) with the driver from the technobit site, installation was without problems.

So I've downloaded hexminer, I've set up my pool information on the top-left part of the window.
At serial protocol I can chose a COM port and something which looks like a baudrate, but whatever I pick, the device doesn't show up on the right side when I click start. (at least, that's what I'm assuming should happen)

There is also a part between serial protocol and pool settings which is called CPU, when I click start, nothing happens either...

Eehh... help?  Huh please

Thanks

edit:
Hmmmm!!
Seems to be doing... something... I think... the software is just really slow when I click start or stop the software freezes but after a minute or so, it unfreezes and does something.

edit2:
nah sorry, still need help. The device shows up on the right side now, but it just won't start mining... I tried 2 different pools (btc guild and eclipsemc) but it just doesn't start.
Team viewer please

Thanks for offering. I'll try to contact you after xmas, got to go to a family thing soon Smiley
Could you please tell me if my working method is OK?
Or tell briefly what the start/stop buttons do ? (both at CPU and serial)
Thanks and merry xmas!

I just got TP link Router from Amazon, getting ready for my December delivery.  Flashed it.  I do need some guidence on how to upgrade it to the new release of the firmware.  I have uploaded it but CGMiner still has old version.   I feel like an idiot.

To flash with openwrt go to SYSTEM TOOLS - FIRMWARE UPGRADE then browse for the image that downloaded from technobit.
Use factory.bin image

Latest version is 0.1.3 Download

After flashing, the default ip is 192.168.0.99.

Thanks

So if these don't come with a molex 4 pin power connector what power supply should you use?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FLVIQQ8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A17AS5ETPMZ9A1
does this one fit the bill and how would I get 2 wire connections out of it?

Any good PSU will work if in their power spec. But you will need to cut down the cable provided by PSU, PCI-E, SATA, or molex then use the yellow(+12V) wire & black(ground) wire.

it did not even leave bulgaria. what i quoted from speedy is the only line in the tracking system!
i hope marto will finally be aware that parcels where not shipped to his customers...
dont know how often i should try to contact him. no replies yet :-(

Try posting here again & again, & send message from technobit website.

if nothing happens i will open a new topic to let marto get his reputation back. i'm not the only one that paid and didnt get their devices. i try to keep calm. i try.... *sigh*

so

If you need to use wires to conect the board to the PSU do you just snip the connector off and strip the wires or is there a better way to do it?

I was planning on getting a full modular psu so I could run these and a bfl30 at the same time.

Yups that's the easiest way to do. But if you are hardcore, you can make connector so you don't had to cut the PSU wires.
I was working on it right now while waiting my HEX16A2. I will post the picture later  Smiley
