I'm getting confused now Wilikon  Huh

So now that we all agree the CIA is 100% behind the coup..

I didn't realise we did all agree it was the US/CIA's fault - but given that we do, then...

.. should we give the Real Time Socialist Train Wreck a bit more time and trust things will get organically better in Venezuela?  Smiley

..this question doesn't make much sense.

What are you suggesting - we send in the US Marine Corps ?

How about the US/US money getting the hell out of Venezuela,  the Ukraine etc and leave the world to find its own way - rather than being perpetually shafted by the United States' duplicity and its fools gold.

The U.S. Government Should Butt Out of Venezuela
by Jacob G. Hornberger April 2, 2014

The problem is that whenever a ruler who is independent of the U.S. Empire is in power, the U.S. national-security state apparatus, especially the CIA, oftentimes gets involved in the process, stirring up trouble and doing whatever it can to achieve the ouster of the ruler and his replacement with a pro-U.S. stooge, ideally one who is a military dictator. It’s no concern of the U.S. government how many foreign citizens die in the process.

^^^ ROFLMAO... what now? A circular issued by the mythical organization Tupac Amaru to kill protesters? If there is actually a Tupac Amaru, then they might be a CIA funded outfit.  Grin

.. and they might be government dogs killing protesters too obviously...

We should leave the world alone, but we never do.
'murica Hell yeah?

Thank god Obama is the POTUS. It would have been unimaginable if Bush or Romney was the current POTUS. Who knows what might have occurred? May be an invasion of Venezuela? Another one million civilian deaths?

A Great Time to Start Something!
The U.S. Government Should Butt Out of Venezuela
by Jacob G. Hornberger April 2, 2014

In an op-ed in the New York Times today, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro calls for peace in Venezuela. The socialist president has been besieged by demonstrations in which several protestors have been killed. The protesters focus on horrendous economic conditions brought about by Maduro’s socialist economic policies. Maduro is issuing a call for domestic peace.

The U.S. government does its best to keep its role in the process secret. That’s what “covert” operations are all about. They give the U.S. president the ability to falsely deny U.S. involvement in what is going on.

We should leave the world alone, but we never do.

Private aide isn't always "interfering."
The USA Gov has a long history of messing with South America, so leaving them alone is probably best.

I welcome humanitarian aid. But I don't support giving money to rioters, like what Nuland did in Kiev.

Maybe we can help them somehow?

Why you have to interfere everywhere? Let the Venezuelans sort of the problems on their own.

The country is mired in a dangerous cycle of economic crisis and violent chaos, polarised between government loyalists in areas heavily dependent on state support and protestors who have taken to the streets over soaring crime rates, surging inflation and shortages of basic goods.

Maybe we can help them somehow?

I am doing my best by keeping myself not to forget, and sharing it here. Everybody should do what they can, or believing it is some kind of a foxnews propaganda pushing a fake CIA coup.

Caracas chaos: Venezuelan general on the run

Death in the streets, rationing by fingerprints and a general on the run: how oil-rich Venezuela has descended into chaos

The instructions were straight from the pages of a thriller. We were to park our vehicle in an underground car park, leave behind our mobile phones to avoid tracking, walk through a shopping mall and make our way to another garage in the basement.

We followed the directions and were duly greeted by a flash of headlights.

The driver then screeched off a one-hour night-time dash through the protest-filled streets of Caracas, frequently doubling back and stopping to ensure that there was no tail, until we pulled up on a dimly lit suburban road.

A stocky bearded figure, baseball cap pulled low on his brow, hopped in to the front seat. “Good evening,” he said in heavily accented English before giving the driver the address for a nearby safe-house.

The new passenger was Antonio Rivero, a former general who went into hiding in February to avoid arrest for his role in the protests that have rocked the government of President Nicolas Maduro.

Moving into Spanish, he apologised for the subterfuge involved in our rendezvous.

“These are bad times for our country and we are having to take extraordinary measures,” he said in his first interview since going underground.

Outside, the sounds and smells of a deeply fractured land were inescapable.

Eye-stinging tear gas fired by security forces mixed with smoke from the Molotov cocktails thrown by marchers, while the chants of protestors were punctured by supportive blasts from motorists’ horns.

The student-led unrest began in San Cristobal in Venezuela’s “wild west” near the Colombia border two months ago and has quickly spiralled into a nationwide movement during which at least 39 people have been killed.

The country is mired in a dangerous cycle of economic crisis and violent chaos, polarised between government loyalists in areas heavily dependent on state support and protestors who have taken to the streets over soaring crime rates, surging inflation and shortages of basic goods.

Chicago will be the next major city in the US to go bankrupt, after Detoilet.

White flight is destroying Chicago. Most of the middle class has moved out to the suburbs. The inner city is more and more resembling a ghetto now.

Not really no. The train operator was fired. None of the people at fault in any capacities, prostitution scandals, Ambassador's death, gun running, green project contract that failed big time, millions of $$ missing etc were fired under Obama. None. Actually some were even promoted.
