how can i backup my private keys in silk wallet? does the common backup cover that? apparentely is just "dumpprivkey" in console but could someone explain that better? dont want to mess up with my wallet..

That should do it, if you do it right

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS backup your wallet directory when switching (upgrading) client software to a new version.

Also, once you have created addresses in your wallet or added new addresses to the wallet,
take the time to get the private keys for the addresses,
or use the dumpwallet function to export all your address information including the privatekeys to a file.

In the QT wallet, tools, Debug Console;
dumpwallet "filename"
or
dumpprivkey "silkaddress"

If using the daemon;
silk-cli dumpwallet "filename"
or
silk-cli dumpprivkey "silkaddress"

where:
"filename" is the name of your choice as you wish to remember it
Example: dumpwallet mySilkwallet will save the wallet to a file named mySilkwallet in the same folder where the wallet client is
Move it from there to a safe location. Very important

"silkaddress" is one of your wallet addresses

If you enabled Coin Control on your wallet then go to Send label, click Inputs
Click right on any address that has a value bigger than 0, copy address to clipboard
then in Tools menu click Debug Console and enter dumpprivkey and paste the address from clipboard
Example: dumpprivkey SS...oneofyoursilkaddresses
you should get a long key
select it and copy that, then paste it in a file that you keep safe
get back to Inputs and do it again for all the addresses that have values
Keep them safe and hope you never need to use them

Static PoS and no coin age means that users cannot be "greedy nodes" and just turn on their wallet, collect stake and then turn it off for a further year.
This means if you want to earn a reward/interest on your holdings by staking, then you have to stake 24/7 and support the network.
People should take their role in the network seriously, their wallet/node is processing transactions and confirming these transactions, this is an important job and you should be rewarded via stake rewards for doing so.

Thanks for writing that guide with the great pictures! I've added it to the Silk-Core wiki: https://github.com/SilkNetwork/Silk-Core/wiki/Input-Splitting-Guide

I don't know about staking, will you please guide me, how I can use
How to Split Coins into Multiple Inputs on One Address
To Greatly Improve Staking
The original post explaining the splitting feature Thanks to SilkNetwork
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16350474

I'll just do a newbee version of it since it's a great feature of this wallet
A. Create a new address in the wallet:
1. Go to wallet menu File
2. Click Receiving Addresses a new window should pop-up
3. Click New a new window should pop-up
4. Enter a label for your address (like Split or your choice)
5. Click OK

Your new address should appear in
File->Receiving address menu with the label you created
6. Copy the address to clipboard (right-click on the address, copy address).

B. Enable "Coin Control"
1. Go to the wallet menu Settings
2. Click Options, a new wimdow will pop-up
3. Click Wallet
4. Click Enable Coin Control Features make sure it's ticked
5. Click OK

C. Split the coins
1. Click Send label
2. Click Inputs a new window will pop-up
3. Select input you want to split (biggest one)
4. Close "Coin Control" and go back to send tab.
5. Tick "Split Coins".
6. In the "# of Inputs" field, type in amount of inputs you wish to create.
(If you have a million coins, make 1000 inputs, if you have 100,000's of coins make 100's inputs, if you have 10,000's make 10's of inputs, if you have 100's of coins don't bother to split your inputs and just buy more Silk)
7. In the address field of the send form, paste the address you created in step A6 or click the paste button or Ctrl+V
8. Make a note of the Amount After fee.
9. In the amount field of the send form enter the amount of coins from step 8. If you see Insufficient funds just lower the amount until you're OK
10 Hit Send

Happy staking

wow,,, I am ready to handover when price touches 50000 sat

$200K would be a nice ROI for you Smiley but why stop there?  I can't wait to see what happens to both coins during the first 2 to 4 weeks after Dark release.  It's going to be bright Smiley

I understand the codebase for Darksilk will be released on the 5th of november. Is there any more known about the rebranding and the release on Bittrex?

DSLK will be released on the 5th, Bittrex will follow soon after launch. After they've done their due diligence. We are patiently awaiting the rebrand, what we do know is that it embodies a new direction for the project as a whole without interfering current developments/technologies.
