Tripartite of Silk, DarkSilk and Weaver

Yes I deleted the older version I had on my computer thinking I could fix it by downloading a brand new one from the Silknetwork.org this morning and there is problems with it that the devs need to fix as this will definately cause loss of confidence in the project for people that are not tech savy. We just want to be able to download and have an automated idiot proof (fool proof) wallet that will work and if this is not achievable I believe the project is doomed to tell you the truth.

I just dld the wallet and it runs fine so its for the non tech and foolproof.

Pr0metheus is right, it works flawlessly

Well you probably did something wrong when you were trying to upgrade the wallet(give us more details about what you deleted and replaced)
and please mate
people here are trying to help and in my book
when there's a will there's a way
and then there's a future

I have not deleted anything from the new Silk wallet? I downloaded a brand new download on a totally different computer to download an entirely new win64 version wallet download from the www.silknetwork.org site and I have no active connections and its not working, so its not idot proof theres big problems with it and dont lead people to think theres nothing wrong as its not true. It needs fixing and it should work from the www.silknetwork.org win64 wallet download without having to update cof file bullshit runaround waste peoples time rubbish. It shows total incompeteancy on the devs part as I have lots of wallets from lots of coins and this does not happen, at the moment this is a complete circus.

You were asked if you were using the latest version, you didn't state what version you are using.

Are you using this version? - https://github.com/SilkNetwork/Silk-Core/releases/download/1.0.1.1/silk-core-v1011-win64.zip

It's almost a week now and I still don't see the SLK deposited into my SLK ICO address in Weaver.  Undecided  Is there anyone from the team that can take a look at this?
Did you try the explorer https://slkexplorer.silknetwork.org/
just input your SLK ICO address there and see if your coins are there
Not showing on the weaver doesn't mean you don't have them

Try this way
it's very small so you might give it a try
separate Silk.conf available in the folder

I have another question. This question is about the new coin Silk. I downloaded the win64 wallet and I have no active connections. You might need to add Silk.conf to your Silk folder as well

Also, are you running the latest version?

if you want to add nodes, getpeerinfo gives

will redirect people there and keep this one clean

How about opening a topic for this matter in Altcoin Discussion?
People couldn't find this one with all the changes and threads locked
we should accept the fact that the late ones have missed the train
and will be next to impossible later on to recover their Silkcoins

oops, I just created a new thread ... want me to delete it?
You're the boss since most of this was falling on your shoulders

About the old Silkcoin
That's why we moved on to the new Silk because the old one sucked
Guys you might edit your posts and add this line up front: About the old Silkcoin
Sorry to say but this thread is becoming unreadable: OLD silkcoin, NEW SILK, rebranding, ICO finished with no further announcements.
I would ask the team to clean up a bit. This is a simple request, nothing else
Agree
People are getting more confused
I think the team can delete the last posts about the old Silkcoin
we should do this through PM's

I see your point as there have been a couple of times I've had to go back and forth between posts to make sure I knew exactly what the post I was reading was pertaining to.  The majority of the post do pertain to Silk and / or DarkSilk in one way or another, be it the community trying to help with late swappers, or some info on Silk / DarkSilk.  I admit that at times it may be hard to follow but the good thing is that it is showing a lot of community involvement.

Possibly when DarkSilk is released and the rebranding is complete / announced, they will create a new thread exclusively for Silk / DarkSilk / Weaver for the rebrand.

Also helps if we call the coin what it is, the new chain is Silk, the old chain is SilkCoin and the new ICO coin is Darksilk

I unlocked my wallet on the old silkcoin chain, seemed to get things moving a bit. Since it's still stuck staking 25k silkcoin it seems to move things along when I stake this wallet. I did manage to free up half of what i had locked up.

I'll try and keep the silkcoin chatter to PM

Nice, let's see how long it takes to confirm, haha.

I hope you're synced already

It said I was then I restarted the wallet, now I'm not.  Wtf.

I'm running into the same issue.  I'm stuck on 1758670 but that matches the explorer.  The 33 coin tx I sent to ttoroie now shows as conflicted.  I've restarted a couple of times and as a last resort used ttoroie's datadirectory zip.  Still at same block

Guys
you'll be laughing now but in the new Silk(SLK) wallet:
with all the swapping, transfers from weaver, Bittrex and split coins to stake....
I don't know what is my current Silk(SLK) wallet address

I've loads of sending and receiving addresses
when I sent coins from weaver after the swap I sent them to an address, but now it has a zero balance
I used console command listaddressgroupings and it gave me loads of them addys but none has the right amount from the wallet
any ideas? Huh

Don't know if it will help but have you tried dumpwallet
