Professor: Guy HIT BY LIGHTNING And Two Others Possibly Assassinated Over Climate Research
A professor at the University of Cambridge has suggested that three climate-change scientists involved in the investigation of melting Arctic ice could have been assassinated during a few months in 2013.

The professor is Peter Wadhams, reports The Telegraph. He is a professor of ocean physics in the applied mathematics and theoretical physics department at the prestigious English university.

The trio of researchers who met their tragic ends in 2013 are Seymour Laxon, Katherine Giles and Tim Boyd. Laxon and Giles were climate change scientists at University College London. Boyd was employed by the Scottish Association for Marine Science.

Laxon met his demise when he fell down a flight of stairs at a New Year’s Eve party on Jan 1, 2013. He was 49. Witnesses say the stairs were quite steep.

Giles died a few months later, in April, when she was hit by a truck while riding a bicycle to work. She was 35.

The truck — filled with dirt — made a left turn, explained the London Evening Standard in a story urging cyclists to watch out for trucks. Giles was caught by this maneuver and run over.

The driver of the truck, James Matovu, was exiting a construction site. He said he was unaware of the accident until an off-duty-police officer waved him down. At once, Matovu exited the truck and ran back to the scene.

“I can highlight once again the danger of coming up on the near-side of lorries,” coroner Shirley Radcliffe a few months later. “It’s been recognized as causing many deaths in London.”

Evidence indicates that Boyd, the third climate-change scientist who died in 2013, was struck by lightning.

On the afternoon of January 27, 2013, Boyd, 54, was out walking his dog in the small, lakeside Scottish town of Port Appin.

There was a storm at the time.

A passerby found Boyd’s body on the “the impressively long and rickety” Jubilee Bridge, which stretches “across the tidal marshes of Loch Laich.”

“There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances,” a local police spokeswoman said contemporaneously, according to the Daily Mail. “However, a post mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death.”

Wadhams, the Cambridge professor, said he believes talented hitmen likely carried out the killings of Laxon, Giles and Boyd.

“I do believe assassins possibly murdered them but I can see that I would be thought of as a looney for believing this,” Wadhams told the Telegraph. “But it’s just very odd coincidence that something like that should happen in such a brief period of time.”

Wadhams blames — but at the same time stops short of blaming — nefarious, unnamed actors in the energy industry for the deaths of the academics.

“I can only think of the oil lobby but I don’t think the oil lobby goes around killing people,” Wadham told the online English broadsheet.

“I thought if it was somebody assassinating them could it be one of our people doing it and that would be even more frightening. I thought it would be better not to touch this with a barge pole.”

New York Approves First U.S. Climate Change Museum

The plan for a museum in New York City that would focus on climate and climate change, with exhibits that could relate to health, social justice and rain-delayed baseball games, moved a step forward Monday, officials said.

The state Board of Regents, meeting in Albany, New York, approved a five-year provisional charter for the museum, Regents spokesman Tom Dunn said.

The vote means “there is absolutely going to be a museum,” said Miranda Massie, executive director of the Climate Museum Launch Project. She said the museum is now “empowered to hold collections in trust for the public.”

Supporters say it would be the nation’s first climate museum.“

Arctic sea ice much more resilient than previously thought

JULY 21, 2015

A single cool summer briefly reversed the decline in the ice cap around the North Pole, says new study. Reviewing new satellite data, researchers at University College London found that the total volume of sea ice in the Northern Hemisphere was well above average in the autumn of 2013. The volume of Arctic sea ice increased by more than a third after the summer of 2013 as the unusually cool air temperatures prevented the ice from melting, according to the UCL and University of Leeds scientists.

“We now know it can recover by a significant amount if the melting season is cut short,” said the study’s lead author Rachel Tilling. “The sea ice might be a little more resilient than we thought.” In 2013, summer temperatures were about 5% cooler than the previous year and the volume of autumn ice jumped 41%, the researchers said.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: climate change is not science fiction

Quote
“I’ve starred in a lot of science fiction movies and, let me tell you something, climate change is not science fiction, this is a battle in the real world, it is impacting us right now.

“I believe the science is in. The debate is over and the time for action is now,” he told an invited audience of intellectuals and spiritual leaders from all faiths. “This is bigger than any movie, this is the challenge of our time. And it is our responsibility to leave this world a better place than we found it, but right now we are failing future generations.”

“If action is not taken immediately my grandson will live in a world suffering heat waves, severe droughts and floods. Cities like new York and Venice will drown. We are on the brink of catastrophe but the solution to the climate crisis cannot be left to governments alone ... People are taking the lead and demanding change. We must not fail them.”“At stake now is the wellbeing of the earth, our common hope. What we need is care. When we care for something it is with passion and commitment of the heart. That’s why Pope Francis called for care of the earth. A sense of passion is needed.”

Muslim theologians, Christians and Hindus said they saw climate change both as an existential threat and as an opportunity for renewal. Sheikh Bentounes, leader of the Sufi brotherhood Alawiya, urged mankind to carry “a hope of a future”.

“The prophet Mohammed called on man to plant and sow seeds. He said ‘Even at the end of times continue to plant and sow.’ We have responsibility to carry this hope to the end. This tiny vessel in infinite space that we call earth is unique.”

Daoists, Confucians, shamans, Jesuits, Bhuddists and others called for politicians to act on behalf of humankind at Paris. Patriarch Bartholomew, leader of 300 million Orthodox Christians, despaired at humanity’s blindness, but quoted writer Fyodor Dostoevsky saying that “beauty would save the earth”.

“Scientists and theologians agree that humanity depends on nature. We must accept the moral imperative for action. Religion must also be involved in the crucial question of climate change”, said Bartholomew.

Expedition To Study Global Warming Put On Hold…Because Of Too Much Ice

A carefully planned 115 day expedition to study the effects of global warming was put on hold Wednesday. The reason? Too much ice.

The CCGS Amundsen, a Medium Arctic icebreaker and Arctic research vessel operated by the Canadian Coast Guard, was to travel throughout Hudson Bay, a body of water in northeastern Canada, but was rerouted to help ships who were stuck in the icy water.

A Coast Guard officer said the conditions were the “worst he’s seen in 20 years,” reports CBC news.

“Obviously it has a large impact on us,” says Martin Fortier, executive director of ArcticNet, which coordinates research on the vessel. “It’s a frustrating situation.”

ArcticNet is a network of scientists who study “the impacts of climate change and modernization in the coastal Canadian Arctic.”

With respect to Seattle's 'urban fires', it is worth remembering that in King county they sprung a '65-10' plan on property owners which effectively kept them from so much as building a treehouse on 65% of their property.  As I remember it.  I'm hardly surprised that there is enough fuel to burn everyone out now.  I know I've a conspiratorial mind, but I have wondered for some time whether 'burning people out' in order to consolidate them to more eco-friendly 'human habitats' is one of the strategies.  Inducing or at least leveraging disasters in order to clear areas of human pests is nothing new.  In my state we had the Vanport floods which cleared certain areas of people who, after the major production associated with WW-II was done, were no longer needed or desired.

It continues to be the strongest hypothesis in my mind that 'man made global warming' is exactly that.  Primarily a figment of imagination with some very useful elements which help achieve some wide reaching goals.  Cramming people into stack-n-pack 'habitats' would be one.  Here's a vid I found which is almost certainly much closer to what life will be like when those who manage the greenies and have them brainwashed about climate change achieve their goal:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY18xJl1WhU  I would love to know what movie the clip starting at around 2:45 is from, BTW, if anyone knows.

What I find most ominous is the recent surge in interest in having the state take over pretty much full control of 'herd immunity'.  There is an unmistakable push toward mandatory vaccines of late.  That is just flat scary.  The idea is clearly to have 'urban islands' surrounded by controlled green space and what transport does happen is primarily via public transportation.  Just as it is only really possible to keep livestock in a feed-lot alive by use of massive amounts of medicine, so would it be densely packed human populations.  Any population which got restive could be very easily controlled simply be witholding the medications needed for them to sustain with their weakened immune systems.
