Bill gator's sMerit Post-Review thread got moved to Off-topic, and was instantly attacked by spambots.
...
To be thorough, I've checked all 10 posts. They're copied from earlier posts within the same thread.
...

You've made me curious about the Off topic section, I haven't read it a long time ago.
So I've started to check one of the above mentioned bots' posts and started to read a random thread....
It's horrible...
On the first page I have checked, I've found several bots, copying the last post, and they don't care about duplicating a post in a thread...
You can check this user, if you want https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/john-joseph-patagan-1736281 and this is https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.31917615 one example where it copies the last post without any effort to hide that it's copypasting....
I don't know if the Off topic worth the effort to start to dig it up (the topics and the users), I hope that the merit system will slowly make them understand that it's not the quantity but the quality which will make them rank up on the long run...

While I was posting this, DarkStar_ hit them all with red trust. Please nuke'm anyway Tongue

Does it make any difference if these account are tagged? Does any of them care about the red trust? Does the bounty campaign care about red trust? I'm not really sure that this worth the effort... I think what they really care is deleting their posts (activity decrease) or ban...

They're not worth posting their account name. The userID makes it clear they're all registered around the same time, and all posting here. The bot made 10 posts within 34 seconds from 10 different accounts!

To be thorough, I've checked all 10 posts. They're copied from earlier posts within the same thread. Considering how obvious it is they are bots, I won't post further evidence here. Please nuke all 10.

Three copy/pasta replies in a row in the same thread (pretty sure I've already reported the OP's post too, since that's also plagiarised, but I'll mention that again just in case):

:)When we set out with the goal to bring a new generation of Bitcoin miner to market, we wanted to push the envelope and innovate in a way that would stimulate further competition.
:)Making BTC miners however, is surprisingly difficult because they they need to achieve extreme conditions. We chose the route of developing a 10nm chip because it was the newest technology available at the time with promising advantages. However, after 14nm the physics change and introduce harder engineering challenges due to the small scale.

this looks like you plagiarized someone.

I'm partecipating in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3223136.1080 which is the new Waves' [ANN] thread.
I noticed that some accounts are spamming like no tomorrow, copy/pasting their posts, few examples, look at this users' posts history:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/qberty-10733

If someone posts a news or ask a question about Waves his/her post is likely to be lost in this spam fest, now, I really hope that it's not Sasha's or any other waves' members fault but this must be stopped imo.
Usually I'm fine to read some spam posts here and there but this is literally a spam fest

Is copy pasting trust comments and posting them considered plagiarism? Got one trust abuser to report for that, if it is forbidden as he has copied some of my sent trust comments, and posted them as negative on my trust.

copy pasted from: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bullmarket.asp
Generally speaking, a bull market happens when prices rise by 20 percent, usually after a drop of 20 percent and before a 20 percent decline. Since they are difficult to predict, bull markets can typically only be recognized once they’ve happened. Well that said it does not apply in the Crypto market as the crypto market is very volatile but the bull run is said when the market is on the rise for more than a month and at a overall rise in market of minimum 50% (percent can be argued to even higher degree). But as seen in past the Bull run went upto 300% to 1000%, so the upper limit is out of the discussion for time being. Smiley

Sr. Member Nelka4 banned! wants to run a Free Escrow Service without even having any untrusted feedback. What triggered my suspicion, is that he says "Who will pay escrow fee (buyer or seller).". That doesn't make sense for a free service, and indeed, it's plagiarism. Please end his posting career.

So many countries now were prohibiting the use of virtual cryptocurrencies. And to think that many unemployed individuals were beginning to uplift their way of living because of their dealings with cryptocurrencies. Banks doesn't expressly say why it is banning the use of Bitcoin.
What do you think is the reason behind this?
Bitcoin is basically a threat or a big competitor for banks nd government. Bitcoin brings fair opportunities for common individuals. Anyone can join and invest for as long as he is intetested and he has the capital. Also the transaction is open to all it is hassle free safe and convenient compared to bank where every transactions is in constant scrutiny. This is the reason why bitcoin becomes popular and widely use by many people all over the world and with this banks and government are seeing bitcoin as a threat and a competitor especially that they cannot control nor profit from it.

One of the core principles of Bitcoin is that it is a decentralized system. There is no governing authority over the Bitcoin platform. This ideology outlined in the original white papers played an integral part in its success. I believe that for many reasons, it is important to maintain this platform for any cryptocurrency. This means that at no point should cryptocurrency become regulated. I think that it is important to recognize that accountability and regulation are not always the same.  Cryptocurrency can by nature remain unregulated while at the same time allowing for individuals to be held accountable.

There is a common misconception that cryptocurrency exists solely to facilitate criminal or nefarious transactions. The unregulated frontier of these new digital currencies brings a whole new area of consequences. There certainly are many real threats to having an unregulated currency. These threats can however be mitigated if individauls commit to identifying and neutralizing them.

Privacy is an important part of cryptocurrency that should not be compromised. An individual waives that right to privacy any time they accept or send their cryptocurrency to an individual. Any individual with enough motivation could in theory act as their own authority to hold individuals accountable for their actions. The question should not be 'How do we regulate', but instead 'How do we hold individuals accountable for their actions'. It is up to each individual sending or receiving cryptocurrency to determine whether or not there is a need to do hold that individual accountable.

Just in case no one loves you, I love you 3000.
Mr.Cross

There has never been a better time to be a blockchain developer or cryptographer than right now. With the great rise in both value and prominence of cryptocurrencies in 2017, we’ve seen an unprecedented rise in the demand for blockchain developers. Global giants like IBM, Oracle and SAP are betting big on blockchain technology and are hiring developers in droves. These conglomerates are however not the only companies in need of blockchain developers and they have to compete for them with blockchain and cryptocurrency startups that are springing up in hundreds every day and all over the map. Even global consulting titans such as Accenture and Deloitte are shifting focus to the blockchain industry, opening up even more opportunities in the field. With the enterprise blockchain expected to rise in value from $2.5 billion currently to $20 billion in 2025, the need to find the best talent can’t be overemphasized.

Copy and paste without citing a source is plagiarism.
