Reporting plagiarism post is more appropriate in my opinion because the culprit does not know that they are being reported. Sometimes when you posts the evidences of plagiarism on this thread, if the culprits come to know about it, they delete those posts in order to save themselves from the ban. (if the mods had not yet taken the action)

Actually IMO they should be aware that their actions are a forum crime.

Otherwise the result is a bunch of Meta threads from banned bounty hunters who say they didn't read the rules, so they didn't know that plagiarism was forbidden (even though you really shouldn't have to read any rules to figure out that this action is immoral, but still, some people need a kick in the rear end to wake up).

Can someone warn this guy that copying-pasting posts here is not allowed and will earn a lifetime ban?
As I am writing this, this user is on a rampage copying and pasting many people's posts (probably for some bounty).

So far, I have found 3 more accounts that spam with complete nonsense, or copy posts from each other, and they all have one thing in common: they are bounty hunters. I simply report the posts as plagiarism or spam, and when the mods do their job they will all realize that what they are doing makes no sense.

I don't know this guy at all, but he looks like a person who hasn't read the unofficial list of (official) rules sticked on this board before posting here.

He learned about the rules, but it was too late, he was banned.
And his second account also learns about the rules late.

it seems that it is important for us to provide free education about bitcoin, especially when the world economy is experiencing a decline, and indeed very many people provide education about bitcoin for free, a simple example is to families who do not know about bitcoin. because I myself have experienced something like that. because at first I also didn't know about bitcoin, until finally my own brother taught me about bitcoin, until finally I was interested in investing in bitcoin. and also I think it is important for everyone to know about bitcoin, especially when the world economy is in a downturn, because bitcoin will open up opportunities for those who are interested in investing in bitcoin. for long term or short term investment. and uniquely investing in bitcoin can be started with small capital or large capital. so it can be reached by everyone.

It's been discussed 100s of times here. But for the most part it seems to come down to taxes. If you can move large amounts of money in whatever form without the government knowing then they don't get their tax revenue. So they try to regulate & control ways of moving money so they do get their cut of it.

Anything else is all smoke an mirrors and excuses.

The question is based on curiosity more than anything else. I’m not being flippant, but seriously, what if all exchanges simply shut down? What’s your plan?

What would you do? What would be your recourse? Even those that say “not your keys, …blah, blah, blah” what would be your plan to attempt to recover or exchange your coin without an exchange?

Is this situation even plausible? Could it happen? It would seem as of late that almost all exchanges are under some sort of scrutiny or investigation by the SEC or other regulatory entity. Without real regulations in place (other than the IRS) cryptocurrency is really in a weird Wild West predicament with so much uncertainty and FUD to go around. Twice.

I would love to hear some wild scenarios that you guys have thought through. Not only that, but if you are a major bag holder or a dedicated HODL’r, what would be your coarse of action?

Do you have a plan or an exit strategy should things go south?

If you had one billion dollars and someone threatens to take all of it away - how much of your wealth would you spend to save it? A small amount? Half? Most? If your choices where either keep 10% or 0% of your wealth, what would you choose?

Like it or not, there are quite the number of really big whales out there and it is in their best interest to defend their source of wealth. Sure, the banks and corrupt politicians have an insensitive to see Bitcoin fall. But someone fighting to defend something will ALWAYS fight harder and longer than someone attacking it.

Also, anti-bitcoin organizations are finding it exceedingly hard to receuit the knowledgeable people needed to further their agenda, since all the knowledgeable people end up switching to the pro-bitcoin side. Either because it pays better or simply because it is the right thing to do. BTC

I found the relax rule on image plagiarism rule considerate. Image plagiarism does not generally have a strict consequences like the word plagiarism in the secular world compare with academics, so I find the relax approach accomodating. If we may care to know, how many images do we find on the forum?. Asides quoting the source, paraphrasing is not allowed in image, we should not stress this except in signature plagiarism.
I agree with the forum's more lenient stance when it comes to sharing images, but I still think that there should be some punishment for explicitly claiming ownership of the image like some people did. People were getting permanently banned for copying one sentence while some were creating the whole topics about images that are not their own and even making bs stories about putting up for sale, and nothing happened and that is just wrong.

Copy (Number1):

market is doing fine.
How much deeper market gonna dive? Many believe we are near bottom. And there is a big reason for it. Market acting surprisingly fine despite everything.

First it was interest rates. We knew it will be around 75 and it was. And market rallied (relief rally?) And it did not stop when numbers came in and US GDP growth was negative for the second consecutive quarter (which is a big recession indicator).

Why is that? Many think it is because we have allrdy saw the bottom and that market is currently "undervalued" so it is kind of numb to bad news. It very well might be the case, or it might not. Frankly It is not about where the bottom is (if there is one) but rather when there will be room for real growth! Current situation is:

We might allrdy be in recession.

Inflation is still here.

War in Ukraine continue to have an impact on energy and food price.

Feds made it clear that Interest rates will be raised more and more until inflation is under control.

Do you see any good signal that we might get out of this mess? Bottom or not until these fundamental problems are solved I just can't see a bull market coming.

There is not a moment where is better to take profits.

When you start investing you should have a strategy with a well-studied asset allocation. So with periodic rebalancing you will buy when the price goes down and sell when the price goes up, as the allocation will be unbalanced by the market performances of your coins.

Obviously it is an extreme simplification, but I advise you to start studying how to build a well-organized portfolio, otherwise it cannot be considered investment, but trading/gambling.

Let's say 1/3 in Trezor, 1/3 in Ledger, 1/3 in BitBox02? I'm currently trying to transfer my bitcoin from an exchange to a cold wallet for the first time, but I'm wondering if it's safe to keep everything in one wallet from one company.

I belive that Switzerland  is one of the most crypto-friendly countries in the world. Switzerland was one of the initial shining stars in the world of cryptocurrencies. In 2018,  Switzerland is known for many things. In the realm of finance, it is known for Swiss banking standards, which allow for high levels of privacy with low levels of risk. The government recognized bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as legitimate digital assets, and Bitcoins are even valued as legal tenders in some regions. Individual traders who hold and invest using their own accounts are not liable to tax in Switzerland. And if you buy or sell through the authorized professional traders, then it is considered a business, and you will be taxed accordingly. A city named Zug in Switzerland is famous as a crypto valley. The city acts as a literal magnet for fin techs and other blockchain-related startups.

You can buy from video games to a package Tesla. That’s right, you can take a car with zero kilometers paying only with your bitcoins.Bitcoin’s first “big” jump happened in summer 2010. The price rose from a fraction of a cent in the spring to $0.09 by July. Very few people, except for very niche tech experts and finance enthusiasts, knew enough about Bitcoin to buy the currency. By October, 2010 the price was about $0.10. now 22k so you have to undestant how  much it popular , under 10 years .

A lot of people already suffers from the effect of these world events, covid-19.Despite the coronavirus pandemic, in 2020, the world’s five wealthiest individuals saw their collective worth increase by more than $260bn. Financially, those on higher incomes have suffered less than low skilled, low-income workers and the young, who have been hit especially hard. Not only is the pandemic’s economic impact likely to linger, global inequality is worsening, with no obvious remedy in sight. This is very unfortunate. It does seem that bad events affect people with fewer resources more heavily than others, but it's another thing when someone is actually profiting from a situation that causes lots of suffering to others. The COVID-19 pandemic has become a disaster for the lower middle class and vice versa as a big big business sector for investors to pour funds into hospitals. Yes, the production of masks and hospital equipment is a big target. I think trends of wealth and wage inequality have persisted for some time before COVID.Rich people/families on the other hand had the chance to extend their hands to businesses that were booming during the pandemic such as pharmaceuticals, online selling, and other stuff that was the trend during the pandemicthe majority has been suffering.

PARAPHRASING WITHOUT INDICATION OF THE SOURCE.

Bank of America believes that the recent increase in crypto outflows from exchanges and stablecoin net inflows indicate "bullish" market momentum.
he bank went so far as to state in the July edition of its Global Cryptocurrencies and Digital Assets report that "fading sell pressure" had now shifted to "buying."
This shift in mood can also be observed in an 11 percent increase in the digital asset market between June 29 and July 26, despite a 56 percent year-to-date decline.
"As risk assets surge, investors are exiting the sidelines. Tight supply and persistent net outflows of currency imply that investors continue to HODL "According to the research.
What's more, the current uptick in prices follows extraordinarily high CPI figures and the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates by the most in 20 years.
Despite this, Bank of America believes investors have adjusted to the present macroeconomic turmoil and are ready to return to risk-on terrain.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and FTX's native token FTT have all seen significant inflows to wallets and outflows from cryptocurrency exchanges.
This is commonly interpreted as a positive indication since investors generally remove assets from exchanges when they are just interested in retaining the item (rather than selling).

When looking at Bitcoin, for example, the top cryptocurrency had a remarkable $508 million in outflows from exchanges in the previous month. During the same time period, it increased by 19%, rising from $19,300 on July 2 to $23,160 on August 1.
According to Bank of America (BAC), the recent increase in crypto outflows from exchanges and stablecoin net inflows indicate "bullish" market momentum. And the "waning sale pressure" has given way to "purchasing."

I would ask him this:

What was that thing your mind was thinking when you struck with the idea of decentralized blockchain?

I'm interested in this because I wonder how one can get the idea of blockchain out of nothing. There must be an incidence or event of life that motivated you to build something smart like this. Smart people always get motivation from real-life events. We will probably never know but I’m sure a legend is going to be created for it, it is similar to the legend that Issac Newton understood gravity when an apple fell on his head, many say that anecdote is false and some others say it is true but it is irrelevant, the legend will keep on forever.

Gambling has taken place, in some form or other, for hundreds if not thousands of years, and is inextricably linked to the history of humanity.

From ancient China where indications of rudimentary games of chance were discovered on tiles, to Egypt where the oldest known dice were excavated, to scenes on Greek and Roman pottery which indicate that betting on animal fights was common and animals would be bred for that sole purpose, humans love to gamble and do so at every opportunity.

Extracting text from an image is easy. Use Yandex or another similar site. Insert a picture, and in the field, you can check the text for plagiarism. In this example, I think it was taken from Twitter.

What do you think of pictures like these? Where there is text taken from the Internet without any reference to the source. In general, without any identification that this text does not belong to the person who posted it as a pictur (he has a lot of posts like this).

Right. An image without a source is not banned. Perhaps the most famous case in this regard was in 2020, when WhiteManWhite accused icopress of plagiarizing images: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.55511429
Yeah I know about that pathetic attempt to get him banned.

It is also worth considering the fact whether the user declares his authorship or not.
Even if you claim the ownership of the image that is not yours you won't get banned here. You might eventually get a couple of negative feedbacks and that's about all that can happen to you in that case.
