Is this because of signature spamming, or because of scamming of users?

Can you stop to make these type of question only for try to boost your post count? However , the scammers will never be banned fr the forum, the spammers yes (it is strange, but this is how the forum works).

Ps: the next time read at least 1-2 pages, before reply to a thread. Thankd for the attention.

I don't remember any transactions that happened, was this a while ago?  My personal address was postly publicly for many months, it is also used yo receive tips, loan repayments, and stuff In general.

Yup, this transaction happened a long time ago (in 2013).
The transaction mentioned above has your personal address as an input, not as an output.
What does that mean, exactly?  Could it be my old address?  I have a lot of address, I'll try to look?  But I do know that I am currently not affiliated with the account, specgamer.  I'll ask my friend and get back if needed, pretty sure he doesn't have the account anymore.  I just checked and it had been pretty inactive until recently...  Honestly that might be my address but I doubt it, I usually just use the 1Q, from my blockchain.

As much as I wouldnt mind that account being banned (along with 329392 others), its not a solution.

The real problem is that people are getting paid for signature campaigns. As long as that is allowed, we will be flooded by nonsensical spammy posts from a bazillion alt accounts, contributing nothing to the forum and burying worthwhile post under a pile of garbage,  both to boost their post count and to increase their (per post) sig campaign payouts.
Is it really that hard to put some hero/legendary's to the task of clearing these rubbish posts?
I wouldn't mind clearing up some dirt every now and again, I respect that Mods have lots of things to do but why not let the community help (or at least the more respected users)

I can't see why that wouldn't work...

Don't know what to make of this.

He has posted the address 1CD6fzRYoz4mErnZKwGPV3oozVJZKpvLrC quite a few times, including here and here. There is a payment made by Stunna to this address, indicating that it was indeed used to receive payments for a signature campaign.

This address seems to be spend-linked to Monbux's tipping address 1Q2CupiU5DfWupRGBQ66QYRqvxoNxGZCcn

Was it an account sold by Monbux?
I know specgamer real life as a person, pretty sure I mentioned that somewhere.  I'm also pretty sure that person gave it to another friend of his, or another stranger though.  He didnt specify.  I don't remember any transactions that happened, was this a while ago?  My personal address was postly publicly for many months, it is also used yo receive tips, loan repayments, and stuff In general.

That address is Monbux's personal address as mentioned in the above quote. He uses it for receiving loan repayment. So there is a chance for that.

Question to mods - Has specgamer been banned? He posted 60+ times yesterday, mostly bumping up threads which haven't been active for months.

Well if he hasn't he probably will be. Just noticed he necroed a thread and copy and pasted a response that has a few hits on google:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=You+can+buy+bitcoins+from+either+exchanges,+or+directly+from+other+people+selling+them.+You+can+pay+for+them+in+a+variety+of+ways,+ranging+from+hard+cash+to+credit/debit+cards+to+wire+transfers,+or+even+with+other+cryptocurrencies,+depending+on+who+you+are+buying+them+from+and+where+you+live.+It%27s+still+not+easy+to+buy+bitcoins+with+your+credit+card+or+PayPal.+&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=Xsj9VOHcGM2R7AaqooCADg

You can buy bitcoins from either exchanges, or directly from other people selling them. You can pay for them in a variety of ways, ranging from hard cash to credit/debit cards to wire transfers, or even with other cryptocurrencies, depending on who you are buying them from and where you live. It's still not easy to buy bitcoins with your credit card or PayPal. This is because such transactions can easily be reversed with a phone call to the card company. Since it's hard to prove any goods changed hands in a transfer of bitcoins, exchanges avoid this payment method and so do most private sellers.  Smiley SmileyBTC Good luck in the bitcoin world.

^^it looks like he is just trolling. His handle is certainly in very bad taste

Bad taste is not against the rules, but trolling is and the posts are all off topic.
A lot of trolling goes on in the wall observer thread (which is where all the posts are), the same goes for useless posts but yes they are off topic

Hello all. I think I found the two bots or very suspicious users: CHAPAY and BTC Stalker
Just look at they messages. Latest CHAPAY posts, Latest BTC Stalker posts

They even leave messages in the same subject is always a difference of almost the same time.
Also they have a twitter accounts for BTC twitter campaigns:
https://twitter.com/bitcoin_chapay
https://twitter.com/Bitcoin_stalker

Both without a real twits (only retwits).

Sometimes they write in the same russian topics are very simple message.

What's wrong with their posts?  Is it because they're just short? You can have constructive one liners.

Yeah they are posting constantly short line posts, These posts are not quality posts.
