There is a new youtube video for the Avalon 4.1 on the Ehash site.  But it appears site is having problems.

Once site is up I will link to the youtube video.

Site is still down.

A good link to check if sites  are up or down is below

http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/

I'm not sure what is going on with them.  The site is definitely down.

I get a "Error establishing a database connection" so almost makes me wonder if it's a decent sized problem.

Still down more then 16 hours.  I will post back later to night.  Just got back from a party and I am just a little blitzed.  Do not want to make a mistake with posting.

The error sounds bad like they made website with wordpress.  It is able to connect to the IP, but there just is not a proper site up.   So either they are updating, or there is a problem with site.
Up and working I was able to use all pages I checked.

Below is a nicer and longer frequency chart that has been put up on the ehash site.

I personally come closest to the 542 watt usage on the three setup I am using, as underclocked I get a better electric efficiency.

A little over a week and a half of running a set of 3 Avalon 4.1's.  It's amazing even with three the quiet level they achieve.  There is not another miner that matches it on sound.   Yes it's a premium price for this though.  So pro and con.

I have turned up the fan's just to test them out.  You can make them where you can hear them if you turn them up.  Most would be insane to do this, but I have ran it with higher fan's a few days.  Really no positive effect to make it worth while.  Still same speed with underclock, and temperature is fine either way.

Bump for Teferi66's troubleshooting.

This show's 3 being set up with a Raspberry Pi.  Once getting first one set up, it was as easy as using a hub and plugging in other 2.

With the this week westhash was paying good amount over straight BTC.  I used the 3 miners for a few day's they did very well.  Below is a screenshot:

Thanks for sharing!  That is nice seeing them pushed to that.  The ability to change the speed so much is very nice.  We can run a underclock for normal mining, but if things happen such as nicehash/westhash paying so much they can be pushed.

I'm all for gear with a nice underclock, it really gives you a lot of options.

yep and I posted photos of it using the 240 volt outlets and the pdu

I am doing 2 right now pushing at them pretty hard. I have two giving me
I am using the 240 volt pdu and the new 240 volt circuit right next to the breaker box.

the amps read 6.2 on the pdu meter so 6.2 x 240 = 1488 watts  I am using my big 1600 watt evga plat psu.  so 1488/2260 = 0.65 watts per gh which sucks but I am getting overpaid on nicehash renting so pushing the gear up to  this level still earns more.     these units will go as high as 2400 even 2500gh but my 1600 watt plat would fall just short at 2500 so I left head room.

It's been a little while since a update.  Currently I have 3 Avalon 4.1's running together.  They pull around 550 at the wall with gold power supplies.   Using a RM1000 to power one, and an EVGA 1300 for powering other two. (I had these laying around is reason I used these PSU's).  At wall they pull around 550 each.  So were looking at 1650 at wall.  With my 20 amp breaker I am able to run this on a 110 circuit, but it does not have room for much else using that power.   With this currently I am able to get around 2800+ GH/s  .  This is shown below:

It's official 3 units can make it through a few 80 degree days.  I still don't have good solid 80 degree day's.  At night in high 60's.

Will make sure to update on how it deals with ambient temperature.   So in a day a range of high 60's to mid 80's and all three miners working good.

the 2.1kg between sp20 and this miner, i guess, is mostly aluminium...
it's also the wattage difference
maybe the fan is better noise wise...

that's y the reduced noise!

It is a rock solid case on both miners.  On the Avalon 4.1 it just seems they put a real effort to find a quiet miner.  They managed to do it with one fan running low.  It's hard to believe it's running from across the room.

The SP20 is a great miner to, i love them.  Only thing is they are quite a bit louder.

They used to be industry leader but now they mimic the design of SP20

It might appear to mimic the SP20 long design but they actually are very different.  The case is more of a capsule for lack of better term.  It is opened from end where fan is, leaving top opening like SP20.

The biggest difference is the one fan implementation  in the Avalon 4.1.  They were very concerned on noise and made it very very quiet.

Agreed. It's actually nuts how silent they run at around 800 GH/s each. Literally have to check the miner sometimes cause my gaming laptop is louder and i cant hear it running. A pleasure to own!
