someone said watercooling?Huh Shocked Grin

those packing peanuts are nuts! hate them! i get them everywhere!!! really hate that shit

would not keep a new miner in my room. i would wait a few weeks to ''gas-off'' to breath out most of the chemicals!
a lot of bad chemicals should be out from the electronics in the first part of their life

i still prefer s7, maybe i need to have an avalon6 in my hands to change my mind Roll Eyes

Have had enough time to get a general idea of speed on certain frequencies.  This is with a Gold EVGA SuperNova, if you have Platinum psu you likely will be a little less.  And it's on 110 so again if on 240 a little more more efficiency.

It is pretty close on efficiency no matter what freq you choose. Above is not perfect but a very good general idea from a few tests. But you are able to lower frequency if for some reason you wanted to run on a smaller PSU.  But as of now running it at default of 500 on frequency seems like best idea.

On underclock likely it is going to be input voltage that makes it possible.

I will try:

13 volts
12.5 volts
12 volts
11.5 volts
11 volts
10.5 volts
10 volts

with this psu

https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/rsp1500.pdf

and this one

https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/hrp600.pdf

my gear is due on tues the 24th

Nice review, will look forward how efficient it can be when underclocked, but out of the box it is weeker than S7's. How long have you waited for your miner to be delivered ?

Batch ones have started to ship i don't know numbers or any special information.  If your wondering how long it takes I would contact BlockC for majority of people, if in China it's Ehash to ask as far as shipping date with new order.   Those are the two official channels.

As far as 3rd party or re-sellers I can't give you a good estimate as so many.  But again batch 1 is shipping which is good for those people looking to order.

I bought one here from from this re-seller  http://zoomhash.com

interesting discount code. curious where you got it. i bought 5 and they wouldnt knock off any money. told me they would take 100 off shipping on the 2nd order or 5.

that and the new shipping means i overpaid $575.

@ Tupsu how or were do i get a discount code for zoonhash a  100 off is gonna help me a lot ? . or does that work for all right now ? .
Look at their FS thread

Depending on number looking at them I would suggest a possible group buy from BlockC and get it from the source so to speak.  They really do have good service so a group buy is not a bad idea on them.  Most of the re-sellers are getting from here and splitting up.  China is only different market.

The fact that warranty transfers if you sell them is amazing.  The good thing about BlockC is you know it is at start of 90 day warranty.  But there are some resellers also out there selling these that would come with a warranty and that is great compared to bitmain killing warranty if re-sold.

Thanks for the video but the sound levels are impossible to believe. You sure you weren't blocking your microphone in the video.

It sounds silent. Its probably the world's quietest miner. It sounds like it makes less noise than an Antminer S3 and yet it has 3x the heat output.

And yet the miner only runs at 32C according to your screenshot.

32C seems more like the room temperature.

How long after your powered up the miner did you make this video? Maybe it was cold and quiet.

No I'm not blocking it at all.  It has been cold here though so not sure how much that effects it with it at 20 percent fan it shouldent.  I would describe it as two levels one is almost silent, and the other has a little noise to it but considering I have surround sound all around it has not really been as huge deal.   And I have enjoyed it's heat that is for sure.

Right now I'm testing a few frequencies it's taking a little bit longer testing to get more accurate numbers.   I might come back to sound after this.  But right now frequency to power is what I'm working on.

@  Notlist3d  I load up both images one from your link and there off there site i changed  my Pcs address  from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.1 loaded it up then changed it and even tried your image i wanted to see both, the soft ware, hocked me in to wanting one more then anything , because all the freedom i have with there non-water down version of openwrt ) .btw to anyone with a openwrt router that's wants to use the router over the pI, there is a .bin for it on there FTP  Roll Eyes .I load it on my openwrt router i wanted to test it . it as nice as image for the PI .

Hit the advanced button twords bottom left I beleive on main screen.  It will say switch to advanced mode or something like that.   It is shipped in like that I'm guessing to be pretty easy to install even for a new user.  But with one button click you can to go advanced mode.

But after you hit that advanced button you will have a lot more options, and the "non-watered down" version.  For advanced users you can do a lot more in this mode.

I meant it's not like bitmains watered down or striped out version,  my bad,  by non watered down it not watered down or striped out, after i hit the advanced button i couldn't think up a better way of putting it, sorry .

well  i can't wait to get it, but have to, i can see im gonna have some fun once, i buy one .

Question : to anyone that gets just miner does it come with all the plugs needed to plug into my own PI or do i need to buy one of there USB converters when i buy this miner ? .i have three PI's one banana pi and cubieboard pi . why spend 75 $ for another kit, when i have all i need but the miner Smiley .

The spending would be if you need a Raspberry PI model B or B+.  It is a very nice plug and play if you don't have a RPI.  BlockC did a great job on the fresh image with dhcp making it easy to setup.

If you already have the Raspberry PI model B or B+ then you are set.  I uploaded the image so you can load it and have a very quick install.  With miner comes the usb adapter that connects to the Avalon6.  And if you are running more then one you can use the wire to go from one Avalon 6 to the next.  So it essentially can make a chain of them which is a nice option.

Thanks for the video. It seems that A6 is a far better choice concerning sound levels. Did you have a chance to check dB from perhaps a android app?

Your welcome and I did try a few app's I did not list it in 2nd post as I have no way to verify how accurate it is.   But from 3 foot away I am reading around 58 DB.  Going to front of miner (side without fan) very close i get around 80 DB inches away from it.  And around 91 DB inches from back with the fan exhausting air.

So those are what I got but keep in mind that is with a Iphone and not confirmed on accuracy.

Yeah let us know.. I'm curious what kind of hashrate it can pull around 800-850-900 watts with just dropping frequency
