C1 has the same hash board form factor, so yeah, it should fit ok.

Can these boards be used in a antminer C1 ?
Because its now useless for mining on any coin
Would be nice if i can give it some new function

If that's like the one that came with S7-LN miners, I had two or three with crap fans out of a dozen or so.
Yeah, it is the same power supply that has came with S7-LN and S2 Antminers.

I ordered my third Arctic F14 fan for these power supplies and I should get in running again smoothly in tuesday.

Crap. The miner is still going on strong but the original fan of the power supply failed  Tongue
Fan-wise I don't recommend Enermax Revolution 87+ 1000W PSU for anyone.
This is already third case in which I have to replace the original fan with a new one (I have a total amount of three of these power supplies).

The S3 has a completely different grade of aluminum machining. Maybe meaningless in the long run but the fins are going to be a tad bid quieter.

I should mention these puppies take 4amp fans on both sides if you want to run them wide open. Ive moved it into my house for the evening and turned it down aggressively so it's hashing around 5.5 with antminer fans turned to 30%

Sorry for being a n00b but how do I put nice high res pictures on here ?

Why do you say the S3's are better?

I meant why are they better as a donna for the parts. Is it price to buy or are the heatsinks better? I always thought the S1 - S5 hard parts were all the same.

Why not say the S3s are better? S3 is probably the most well-thought-out miner yet built by any company. Simple, reliable, solid, quiet. Everything everything these days is not.

Also, I've still got a whole stack of S5 beaglebones right now and will probably have a whole stack more for anyone who gets one of these kits.

2 built 3 to go, I'm going to have them at CFlocations if anyone knows him.

FYI I like Philipma for escrow only because he is active on the threads I read (+he is an internet community service superstar)

I'm being told months until I can get more boards... so no one flip out.

also I think the original S3 is best for the upgrade. you will need a beagle off eBay, but The heat sink is alot nicer.

That will go for sidehacks boards as well

We/I will of course buy ALL the boards/products sidehack comes out with in as large a quantity as can be afforded because he is stateside.

I believe I have an interesting and new group of people to sell miners too that are not being reached by any of the resellers on this forum.

I'm always going to distribute things I use myself.

Thanks all for your positivity and support

I'll be reselling these in the USA I'm in the Seattle area if anyone wants to check them out.

Working on building the first X6 right now, I got 5 kits from Alex last week.

Give me a few hours hopefully I'll have it up and hashing.

if you need escrow services let me know.

X5 upgrade is still in my wish list but summer almost here and I can't manage more heat for next 3 months.

Before I have upgrade boards I'll have a ~70W pod miner with BF16 chips.

That's what I'm waiting for, if I can afford one.  And I'll keep my Gridseed earning $4/month.

Right, I haven't seen pictures of the insides of the Antminers but they seem about the same.  Two boards mounted to heatsinks with a fan at the end blowing through them.  The Gridseed boards are more self-contained: there's no controller board, each board has power and USB connections and can function independently.  Gridseed put the heat sinks on the outside, Bitmain on the inside.

There's somebody selling S5 boards for $56 delivered at https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/antminer-S5-557Gh-s-miner-Fitting-30-chip-pcs-PCB-28-NM-Calculation-circuit-board-bitcoin/628736_32686804147.html?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.u2K6fU but I guess you also need a controller board.  Otherwise it's not much more than a Gekko 2pac for 15(?) BM1384s.

Apparently Gridseed only made the 5-chip and 80-chip then retired or something.  Strange industry.

Nope. Only upgrade kits I have seen are Hotmine upgrade kits (X5 and X6) and then there is sidehack's retrofit project with Bitfury 16nm chips (in development). These two both are compatible with Antminer S1/S3/S5.
