it is said lots of bank institutions supported ripple blockchain. that news drove ripple price up to the moon during 2017. it's good that banks are adapting to blockchain technologies. the major problem for ripple, I think, is that the developer and a bunch of few people own a lot of ripples, as in tremendous amount of ripples. if ripple price gets higher and higher, it would make the dev the richest man in the planet.

Since Ripple is not a crypto currency, I would not want to invest a lot of my money in it. I would prefer something in the region of 5-7% of the total investment portfolio. Since there is a possibility of its sharp growth

I do not see the point of investing in Riplle, especially on a long term. I think if you want to make a profit, it's better to invest in a short term.

I don't think Ripple's rise the end of 2017 could have been predicted and honestly I don't think it deserved it. It is an "old" coin, has an idea, but nothing so drastic happened to provoke the spike. Will refrain from investing in it unless we get some actual good news, which is not currently the case.
