I don't think so. How could be ripple be like Bitcoin. They are both very different bfrom each others as a project. Bitcoin is the first crypto based on blockchain. And no it is using as a payment portal. Where ripple is banking related and money transfer related protocol. Ripple is very different from Bitcoin. Ripplt is fully centralized and backed by banks. And in terms in of marketcap Bitcoin always hold the 50% or higher of the whole marketcap. So if someday ripple touch 10$ Bitcoin will go more higher maybe. So I think Bitcoin is always on the top on the crypto chart.

We are all here and we all know that as bitcoin price reduces, the price of all other coins reduce. So will ripple overtake bitcoin when both are reducing or increasing together.

I totally agree with this statement because all coins are affected if Bitcoin price is down so if Ripple would replace Bitcoin then it would need a big of money to overtake Bitcoin but Ripple is one of the promising coin this days since it stay on the top rank for the past few years. I don't think that in the next 2-5 years some currency will be able to overtake bitcoin in capitalization and trust among investors.
For me I can't really compare ripple with bitcoin because literally they have different functions. And when you are referring to the marketcap, they are now placed in top three since november that they stepped on top two.
I like that so many people here are critical of XRP and understand that it's a company trying to sell you a product. It's not a cryptocurrency and this is one of the reasons this centralized token isn't yet on Coinbase. I'm not saying that coinbase is less centralized than XRP but it's a crypto exchange and XRP is not crypto.

First of all, XRP is a company related coin. Not all coins are in the market already. Therefor, the company behind Ripple can adjust (inflation) the price. From the Market Cap it maybe come close, but nevertheless, it will never reach the price of Bitcoin.
That will never happen and most definitely not with Ripple, XRP can't logically be considered a cryptocurrency how then would it be expected to overthrow Bitcoin, which has been in existence from long ago.

I still can not agree with this statement. Of course, Ripple today has become a truly successful and sought after coin with excellent potential for successful development in the future. But now he just can not compete with the BTC. As before, BTC and Ethereum will remain market leaders.

Why not. It is quite possible. But it isn't relevant for me personally. Ripple already has pretty big capitalization and it is more profitable to take your chances with some new coins.
I think when previous bitcoin drop occurs ripple gives us sign about it's strangeness. when whole market bleeding XRP stable in BTC value. even if xrp can be control by centralized organizations they doing it well. XRP has posiblities to be next bitcoin in my opinion.
