XRP performance for now is quite good, because the price has gone up significantly, but in my opinion it is very difficult to forget BTC, because XRP price movements still follow BTC price movements.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?
Its gonna be far from that if ever ripple going to 10$ it means it already surpass bitcoin market cap. Ripple ath as far as I can remember is less than 5$. I like ripple low fee and fast transaction but I am more confident with the bitcoin security.

I dont hold any ripple but Im planning to get some due to the upcoming flare snapshot. This is a free token so we must avail it.

That's wearied to say xrp is the next bitcoin. I believe in Bitcoin its does not mean I did not saw any future on others alts but you have to compare with some fact. Where xrp have huge supply and this makes worse for xrp in terms of price increase. Btc is king of cryptocurrencies and no one can replace them. Even if considerd xrp is a shit coin. I don't think so it can cross 1 dollars... Even if its cross 1 dollars somehow in near future its only give you 3x. Which is very low return when you talking about crypto.

That's right mate, it would be very funny if someone said XRP was the next Bitcoin, even though it was very clear that in terms of supply, development, and categories they were very different even though they were both in the crypto space, so it would be very funny if someone said "Ripple the next bitcoin ".

XRP is indeed a coin worth taking into account but compared to XRP, I prefer Ethereum to replace bitcoin. Well, we don't know what the future holds. however, considering the current developments, I think ethereum is much better than XRP.

Bitcoin =  decentralized

Ripple = centralized

SO ripple can never become a bitcoin in terms of usage and if you are talking about the price, you will know how much the ripple is going to worth at the end of next market cycle.I expect it would goes to zero. Tongue

My thoughts? Uhhh. None.

C'mon man. Is this how you got the idea?

While trying to convert your XRP to USD?
You saw the question if Ripple can achieve $10 USD and you did believe it already?

Well, it just might. But, when bitcoin is so far away from it again.
I know there are still investors out there who are waiting for the right time to sell. Believe me, when it hits $1 it will be a big dump.  Grin
Ripple has been pumping money out of us for years to build its own system that is not related to the token

Ripple will never even come close to Bitcoin because of the huge supply of tokens available and also because of the fact that most of the coins is hold by the company and is centralised.

Ripple  cannot even compete with ETH in terms of marketcap, Ripple now rank at number 3 with $12 billion marketcap while ETH has $44 billion, so it's to unrealistic to say that it will be the next bitcoin as that would mean dethroning bitcoin as the king.

Look at the figure, (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/).
Bitcoin has $214 billion marketcap,  so you are saying that Ripple which holds 6% (more or less) only of the bitcoin marketcap will replace it? no.

It's even struggling to reach $1 now and aiming for $10, that's non sense.

I won't compare ripple with Bitcoin, the difference is big and ripple is centralized too unlike the fully decentralized Bitcoin, how is this the same? Ripple isn't bad that's why I get some for long term hold but still Bitcoin beats ripple by margin
Both are the same that can be considered as the digital assets. The ripple community was always creating a non sense prediction like this. From what already stated by the thread creator and we know that how the ripple community becomes very crazy to predict the forecast price of ripple. I just ignore the predictions that already created by them.

Both were also using the blockchain protocol too.

i find this funny at first because theres so many people who hate this coin  and now your comparing it to bitcoin my impression changed a bit when i read the xrapid on your description , what was that? ripple seems to be motivated to compete with coins that have thier updates or on the trends . i dont know whats that xrapid but that could be an answer of ripple to have entry on this tough competition happening lately . theres a chance that its value can grow more but too early to say that it can beat btc

Not a chance, ripple can't take over bitcoin and you should do yourself a favour and stop listening to those misguided forums or whatever, even if ripple miraculously reach as high as $10 still won't match up to btc in terms of tech, bro better use your time in something useful an stop hyping ripple it won't do any good.

Another thread that hype a coin to be the next Bitcoin every coin that show a good performance or having a new update always think that it is the next Bitcoin, Ripple is still a long way to go, if Ripple is getting better Bitcoin and all the other coins are getting better also and also moving forward, and $10 price is still speculative at this point in time.

Don't make me laugh, mate. How can Ripple be the next Bitcoin? There is no strong reason that Ripple to be the next Bitcoin, even Ripple cannot overtake Ethereum. For me, Ripple may be the next USDT as they are backed up by the banks. We all know that banks disagree with high volatility. So, they may make the Ripple price be more stable in the future.  Grin

We have seen many similar discussion such as "eth is the next btc" or any other altcoins is the next btc. I think it is just a hope/dream from the supporters of the altcoin to see their lovely coin become as popular/success as bitcoin. It is not a mistake though as they are free to hope but in the reality there will be no coins that will be "the next bitcoin".

Ripple is profitable, but it is not possible to replace Bitcoin. Because even to beat Ethereum has never happened,
especially beating Bitcoin as the most powerful crypto coin until now. Regarding Ripple going to a price of $ 10
I doubt too, because since 2018 until now Ripple hasn't touched the all time high price of $ 3.84 again. So it's too
far if we are predicts Ripple to hit a price of $ 10.

Ripple is a private company active in the crypto sector and they sell their XRP every month. XRP has good technology and good partners but the way XRP delivers XRP to the market makes the value of XRP drop. It is different from Bitcoin, the mining by devices and the 4-year cycle of reducing the reward for 1 block makes Bitcoin highly valuable and steadily increasing.

Can you provide at least a single link that will bring me to the conversation about ripple to be the next bitcoin? or is this just a gimmick? I think that you are trolling us about this. It will not gonna happen and when you are saying $10 and that's more than enough to call that as a big joke created by ripple supporters.

xrapid didn't even bring positive impact to the ripple and look at the chart. it shows that ripple is still stuck in the same place.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.

yes, the talk have been many years already. it just need more insiders pump.

The insider didn't have intention to pump the ripple price but they are still doing the opposite thing like dumping the pre-mined coin to the market. The foundation is looking for more money and it didn't wanna waste their money.

I think that when what you were saying was true and with multi-billions dollars of money and ripple team can do that instantly. In fact, the company is looking for more liquidity to make them able to liquidate their assets.

yes, we're seeing ripple trying to hype lately probably because insiders need to dump more
ripple started off 100% own by like 2 or 3 people, they dumping most of it already and when they're done with dumping the project is done.

I don't think Ripple will be the next Bitcoin, I can only agree with it if Ripple can surpass the price of each Bitcoin together with its volume can surpass. But I can't deny that Ripple is one of the potential cryptocurrency in this field of business industry. Because as far as I know in some other country just like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bch are also accepted as a mode of payment to their own local exchange.
