There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?

They are just trying to make a hype for xrp. Though some predicted that way but from it's price today of $.2. Honestly, $10 is overly predicted and overestimated. There's actually no big progress on this coin like upgrade or new about their project to speculate it that much.
Anyhow, I saw this prediction In this link which I believe most likely to happen.

1 year xrp forecast: .439 USD
5 year xrp forecast:  3.320 USD

Can you provide at least a single link that will bring me to the conversation about ripple to be the next bitcoin? or is this just a gimmick? I think that you are trolling us about this. It will not gonna happen and when you are saying $10 and that's more than enough to call that as a big joke created by ripple supporters.

xrapid didn't even bring positive impact to the ripple and look at the chart. it shows that ripple is still stuck in the same place.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?

yes, the talk have been many years already. it just need more insiders pump.

The insider didn't have intention to pump the ripple price but they are still doing the opposite thing like dumping the pre-mined coin to the market. The foundation is looking for more money and it didn't wanna waste their money.

I think that when what you were saying was true and with multi-billions dollars of money and ripple team can do that instantly. In fact, the company is looking for more liquidity to make them able to liquidate their assets.

No one is talking because it is not going to happen. They are not even comparable in terms of price, their fundamentals. There are so many difference that they are in the different league. You should compare Ripple to altcoin not to bitcoin. Or even to fiat based remittance system, like Western Union. $10? might take another year for Ripple to reach that price, sorry to burst the bubble. There's no other coin that can top bitcoin as of now. And this so called "Rippening" is just a dream to be honest.

First and foremost, you should stop deceiving yourself that ripple is the next bitcoin. The value of Bitcoin is not its market price in the crypto market but the introduction of Blockchain technology into both the financial ecosystem and every aspect of the entire ecosystem. The value of Bitcoin is based on the existence of the use of Blockchain technology. Ripple on the other hand has nothing relevant to introduce or contribute to the entire world.  Also, there is no way the market value of Ripple can surpass that of Bitcoin.

Don't make me laugh, mate. How can Ripple be the next Bitcoin? There is no strong reason that Ripple to be the next Bitcoin, even Ripple cannot overtake Ethereum. For me, Ripple may be the next USDT as they are backed up by the banks. We all know that banks disagree with high volatility. So, they may make the Ripple price be more stable in the future.  Grin

I think Ripple can replace Bitcoin is very difficult, because the king of all cryptocurrency is Bitcoin, so that making altcoin can replace Bitcoin will definitely be difficult to happen (including Ripple), then in my opinion the fair competition for Ripple is Ethereum and not Bitcoin, because Ripple once took the position of Ethereum (top 2 on coinmarketcap) and it will definitely happen again.

That's only their dream and that will never happen. Is that make sense if we are talking about the possibility for ripple to surpass bitcoin while at the same time ripple can't even surpass its old ATH? Dude, that's a big joke that comes from the ripple community and I think that they must try to predict based on the real data.

No, it's not gonna happen.

Crypto is suppose to be for centralized asset, the reason why bitcoin stays at the number 1 because it doesn't change, it's still the decentralized asset that we love before, if it will be replace by Ripple, this crypto market will become centralized, it doesn't make sense really.
yes it will be difficult for ripple to shift bitcoin, even if the price of ripple reaches $ 20 I am sure the position of bitcoin will be solid. because ripple was created only to balance bitcoin and come under bitcoin position

I don't see ripple over taking bitcoin. There are many factors that would make people not to buy. Because buying coins is one way that volume is created. The number of the supply is such that it will be a big task of convincing investors but ripple has been a strong force for long.

There where many attempts by XRP to get in the Cross border payments and be the de-facto payments via rapids etc. but it so far never worked out in a scale that would launch XRP to 10$.
yes it was very difficult for xrp to get to that position $ 10 i think maybe it takes a lot of factors and playing ripple to get to $ 10 because seeing from ripple there is still a lot to fix

This seems to be impossible. I am not a hater of ripple, but $10 and ripple as the next bitcoin? I don't think that I would agree to that. Many people called ripple as a shitcoin for being centralized, yes it does not stop the development because of how many haters they have, but not because it is quite strong lately, it will continue going to the top.

And are you gonna believe that there will be significant rise just because of talks and rumours?
Hard to believe people these days. Ripple should take over Eth first before taking over bitcoin.
And I don't think that's gonna happen. $10 is way way on the road. They need to reach the $1 price level first.
And since it is centralized, I don't think many crypto users will vouch for this coin.
So stop dreaming that XRP will be the next bitcoin because it's not gonna happen.

the ripple resistance is one supply too large. maybe if from a few years ago the initial public launch of ripple could limit the supply I think the price of ripple can be high now it can even compete with eth or bitcoin.

Not that much and an invalid comparison for now. Check the huge gap that XRP and ETH have for their market capitalizations. ETH has x3-x4 larger market cap than XRP. And the movement of XRP, I didn't noticed it that much unlike ETH's.

That so much talk means nothing. $10 then with the $0.28 which can't even get into $1 for the meantime is a false hope at the moment. Possible as possible but very low in chances.

From today move your price bar in coinmarketcap, you can't see any time when Ripple marketcap was over 20 times Bitcoin. Ripple doesn't same feature as Bitcoin, here only monero gold can be selected. Price will move first of Bitcoin then could be Ethereum. If Ripple overcame 10 USD, Bitcoin would cross 100k USD.

Ripple is next ripple.
When we will be mature enough that every project and coin is unique in its own sense and there are dozens of factors and situations effecting each and every project so we cannot just compare them.
I am sick and tired of hearing these comparisons and they sound so childish that they annoy me badly.

Next bitcoin, how?

Centralized, owned by a bank, unlimited supply, all control by a company, still has some chance dump by them, mine their own token only for their self. Off course, that's not gonna happen and can't be compared with bitcoin.

I don't know how to explain it to you. If you think ripple has the power to overtake bitcoin then why don't you sell everything you have and buy ripple? After a while the ripple community wakes up and wakes up to create hype.

The main purpose of those who spread such news is to fool the people by creating hype in the market. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this coin, this coin is the next bitcoin!
