Usually (but not always) issues similar to this are power supply related. Your current power supply has enough Watts and amps/rail to suppply the entire load with some extra left over for power spikes/surges?

My R-Box is "dying" after running a day or two. This has happened at least 3 times the first week I've owned it. I'm running with 2 Antminers U2's as well with the following command line

bfgminer.exe -S rockminer:all --set rockminer:clock=270 -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0A81 -o -u -p

And it doesn't seem what frequency I run at, this is about all I can get. I've tried freq=270, 280, and 290. Running at lower frequency doesn't seem to help the stability. Am I doing anything wrong or is this typical?

A gridseed blade  cost about as much as 1  rk-box  .

so, do you need just one rasp pi for every two units or you need two (one for each RK-box)?
If you need two, then how many are included if you order 2 RK-boxes? One or two?

Besides, price of BTC went up, but price IN BTC did not change-what gives?
used to be 0.9 BTC when BTC was 650=$585, now 1.05 BTC when BTC is 592 (up from 540)=$622.
This pricing fluctuation looks completely random. Why don't you set up the price in $$ and then BTC will be calculated by bitpay.

All I am saying is you need to compare retail prices, not one with a coupon vs retail price.

Your including the cost of a coupon with the S2 order, not everyone has a Coupon.

what i mean is, S2 is controller included, while rkbox "NO"

and PSU... if u're talking bout PSU, lets use "AntMiner S2 1TH/s Kit", its without PSU and case (we can run S2 kit without case; same with rkbox, but i got bunch of pc cases like garbage, so cost = 0)  
which is cost around 1667 usd (2.978 BTC)

and RK box? shipping included, its around 2100 usd (3.75 BTC), and... still without controller  

its not like am telling u not to buy this RK-box, its pretty awesome, better than S1 for SURE!
but, i just want you to know, "if you want to compare, dont forget to compare all the parts"
for example: well i can say that S2 kit cost me only $1000, why? I have a small GPU farm that has my $600 covered cost = 0 << this is not good for comparing right?

$1667 for 1THs or $2100 for 1.35THs (still have to buy controllers)
maybe for 1.35THs it'll be around $2230 (with controllers included)

and, still the conclusion :
RK-box - for mid player in mining, if ur wallet is not big enuf
S2 - only for big wallet

Most of your math is good Philipma, but doesn't look like it factored in the $450 shipping that someone said it costs to ship the 4 minimum units required.

If this is indeed true, not as good a deal as we anticipated.

your math is not correct. for lots of us.

A) rasp pi don't need it  why I have a pc that has my mining covered cost = 0
B) psu's hmm at least 5 off line psu's  maybe 6 some are 1300 watt golds and some are 1000 watt plat's cost = 0
c) 3 rk-boxes = 3 btc   or just under 1800 usd   hash at 1350 gh

so spend 1800 usd and get 1350 hash vs spend 2200 and get 1th

many miners are mulling exactly the above and not your figures.   GRANTED SOME MAY BE DOING YOUR IDEA of the cost

but i know many are doing what I just printed.

I also like that an entire rk box dies I still have 900th of hash.

my s-2 dies I have 0 hash.

I may buy 1 rk box per week and spread my cost out slowing increasing the hash .  depends on how they run.

 I figure S-1's are better then 95% good closer to 97-98% .  if the rk-box is that reliable it will sell like mad.

Well, remember how you got your contract?
So comparing to what you have is not apples to oranges, to be fair...

DHL is the. Better shipper internationally. And their prices are usually in line with FedEx and ups. These guys just have a lousy contract.

I have just under that but you need more like 10 Ph/s in opinion.

all resellers are waiting for inventory... so sit tight, when we get our tracking numbers hopefully on 25th, you all will know ASAP

Pi is not required:
Most people already have PSUs they can re-purpose... so maybe 2 calcualtions should exist for rkboxes? one if etting a PSU, one if not?

As RockMiner develops further, maybe they can give multiple shipping carrier/options.  then you can pick whatever shipping speed/method you want and pay accordingly.  At the moment, however, it's DHL express, which is super fast.
