It's an easy task who knows luck is there and I can get it, lol

Yes. You know what they say, you can not win if you do not play. Therefore, it is worth a shot, whatever the odds may be.

Although I've participated in several Roobet's giveaways, unfortunately without much success. But that does not mean I am going to stop trying, because ... you never know.  Wink

The notification I'm most looking forward to on my twitter is the roobet giveaway

I'm also like you, keep playing and believe that even though I haven't gotten a big enough result from the roobet giveaway

good luck everyone, stay positive
Giveaways are literally winning a lottery so you can't expect to win such of them, it is just pure luck but Roobet is having lot of other contests as well all the time like art, video creation, etc so it is quite possible to win with our hard work and skills. So if anyone is looking to make some money can make use of it which is also availablw in the service section for anyone to particpate. Wink

I also dont missed to participate in Roobet's giveaway on Twitter.
The chances are slim but its easy to participate so its worth trying. Its like playing gambling as well, you'll never know how lucky you are unless you try. But of course its best to have less expectation so it wont affect you that much.

Also come to think off that tasks you would really need to be done first isnt really costing you an arm and leg which you would really be simply retweeting and you would have the chance on winning 500 bucks which it
isnt really bad at all and wont really be using up too much time.Ive also participated this one and who knows right if luck is on your side on that moment of drawing of winners.
One of the things i dont like is wagering contest  yet i know im not really having that a good experience about this kind of promotions but for RT or any other social media
tasks then it would really be easy as pie.

I am trying to spread this giveaway to my friends who are gambling lovers, of course they will be happy to see things related to prizes. Grin

When you have to tag 2 friends but have none in the list :p
There are no such giveaways at this moment Grin but it's easy to make friends on social media even if you are introvert because no one knows your personality and i think 2 friends is normal and you would find most giveaways with these rules..

Probably those people who think its convenient because you can trade your coins anytime but not aware of the risk for doing so.
[/quote]

Most provably the people who think about its more convenient to use that kind of wallet is small time investor only and they can able to lose those balances they put that's the reason they give that statement and that's not surprising at all since actually there are so many  prefer web wallets or mobile wallet app due to its users accessibility.

Hopefully not many people will store their huge balance on wallets which they didn't hold their private keys since the risk is so high and we need to be more careful in handling our money.

Non-custodial wallets never really in my book to be honest. I do trust in some places, coinbase is not one of them and I do not really like that, but binance is one of them and the moment binance starts offering taproot then I would be getting one from there. Until then I think the best way to actually use it would be to get it of your own, be the owner. Just like the old saying "not your keys, not your money" and that's true in crypto since start of time. It is easy to believe and trust for a place like Binance, but usually that is very rare and you should be the one who hold your own coins, that would be a lot better if you ask me.
How on earth would you say noncustodial wallets are not your thing, that you prefer using a centralized custodial service like Binance, and then you go ahead and sing about "not your keys, not your money"?
@dezoel's statement is contradicting, he dont prefer non-custodial wallets but agreed that you should be the one to hold your keys.

Anyway, its not really safe to hold your crypto in a wallet that you dont hold your keys, it can be compromise.

Who even uses an exchange as a wallet?  Shocked

The very last services to implement such upgrades are centralized and custodial services. It was the same case with segwit adoption.

AFAIK Taproot (P2TR) is using bech32m address started with bc1p... most of exchanges or multicoin wallet isn't supported yet, it still planned.

It's weird Roobet recommended you to use those custodial wallet/exchanges, your option is Electrum (version above 4.1.0) since it's easy to use. You can read list of wallet support send to bech32m address on @OcTradism post.
Did they really recommend custodial wallets or exchanges? As far as I know, both wallet.coinbase and blockchain.com/wallet are non-custodial solutions (although I would personally avoid any web wallet for other reasons).

Anyway I've checked the deposit address on Roobet it's back to native segwit bc1q... so it shouldn't be a problem to use any wallet or exchanges.
Agreed. Didn't know about these Taproot issues until I checked some of the recent posts in this thread, but I didn't find any issues depositing my funds into the site earlier today from my Exodus wallet thankfully.
^ That is good to know, not every one of us know this taproot upgrade and even me, I don't have a technical idea on how that taproot and that is why the SegWit wallet address is very suitable for anyone even though those who will use Lightning network support.
As I quoted above that if there is someone who has used an exchange or any custodial wallets to transfer their BTC, just read first the TOS because I once become a victim when I was sending my BTC into the custodial exchange and they hold my fund. Verified gambling casino addresses once linked to the custodial services like wallet or exchange will probably have a problem that could you break the terms that result freezing your fund.

It's not completely surprising considering their popularity among crypto investors. Also, these web wallets do provide a good deal of security though I only deposit small-moderate amounts in them.

Well I don't know since that statement is from @mitchr4

Yep you're correct, both blockchain and coinbase have a separate between wallet and exchanges. But most of people who heard blockchain and coinbase will treat it's a custodial exchanges since the wallet are introduced after few years later.

My problem is solved. I can only use PC for deposit. Previously I used a multi wallet apps on my ipad Trust and Blockchain. But still confused by the error message on Trust wallet which says the deposit address used by Roobet is Taproot (P2TR). In fact, if we check it, the format is BECH32 (P2WPKH).
That's weird, I don't know the difference between Laptop and the tablet when you are just putting the same address, well at least its solved already and most probably the issue here is the trust wallet and not with Roobet. I'm using a wallet on my phone on depositing and withdrawing some funds with Roobet before, everything went well.
