i managed to pass KYC level 1 but for level 2 and 3 it seems i will not continue.  it is the right of each individual to not do KYC, however i think KYC makes a lot of players uncomfortable.

btw, i see many members who have problems using a VPN when opening roobet, until now i'm still very safe playing on roobet without VPN. (confused)
I’m not using VPN as well and ordinary site works good on Roobet for me. This recent update with KYC create chaos, many don’t want to fill up the KYC and provide some documents, why there’s a sudden update with regards to this one? KYC in gambling should only to those wig big money but for a small time gambler who rarely gamble, I don’t think KYC is necessary.

If I can walk into any brick-and-mortar casino with a stack of $100 bills and gamble them all without being asked for my address or phone number, I expect the same treatment at an online casino. Nothing more, nothing less.
Well said. I agree with your opinion. Roobet messed up big-time here unexpectedly. They usually announce their promotions in several ways which is why I was surprised that they didn't announce anything regarding something so important so far.

Anyone who says that they are willing to trust the site by filling KYC are probably hardcore fans of Roobet. I hope they get rid of this requirement soon.
Its not really a total mess up since this isn't really that much serious when we are talking about personal informations which we can really neither input fake or real info.

But somehow I do agree that they should at least make out some announcement about this so that people wouldn't really make out such reaction.

Many wouldn't really look this one to be appealing and they might really be going for another casino in case.

I never used VPN when accessing Roobet or any browser extension/tools that can modify my IP when I am gambling on Roobet before so VPN would be out of the question. There are some gamblers that haven't required to do the process of KYC yet like @ryzaadit. It would be better to withdraw all of the funds ASAP if you don't want to submit KYC to them. I hope that roobet knows that this issue could greatly affect them negatively.
Possibly, it's about your activity level. It had been about two months since I logged in last time, I just tried and got the pop-up. I don't use and haven't used VPN or anything. First I thought my location is the trigger, tried to log in through VPN and even VPS, no luck, the pop-up is there ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's the weird thing, I never got it, I do not know the reason and I gamble probably every day. I do not know where can I check if I already did it or not. I gave my KYC to few places before so when this was asked maybe I gave it here but I usually would remember something like that, usually do not really give my KYC that easily, but since everyone says they were asked and I didn't get it, I am wondering if I did it and then forgot about it.

In other news, I think KYC on casinos are a bad business, they might be asked by the government or something like that, but I just feel like it is not that easy for people to share their KYC with others, that is why I do not know what we should be doing about this. At one hand we have roobet that has to ask, at the other hand people who do not like to give info about how they gamble in a casino, there is no win in this situation.

Looks like you're inactive quite a long, does the KYC message goes to those only irregular gamblers?
Yes, but by seeing the response of some people on the bottom some the inactive user also got the pops up kyc. I believe this answers only can be answer by roobet him self, what the criteria for account who got pops up kyc
- Big bankroll/transaction?
- Active user?
- Big wagering?
- There has some transaction from unknown resource like mixing service.

And other factors as well, so maybe ask to live support would be good.

I can't remember if I also used a VPN here in Roobet, in other casinos I used it, so maybe Yes.  But there is still no confirmation if that is the reason, only the team that knows can answer.  For all those who have an identity confirmation pop-up, they need to fill up and pass the level 1 KYC if they want to be able to access the account again.
In fact, I have confirmed my identity after the pop-up appeared and now I have started to start gambling activities there, I still do not fill in the data with my real name, only the fake name that I apply.

This has been a debate in the last few days I think if you don't like it then you don't need to fill it in, if you want to continue the game with roobet then doing KYC 1 is indeed simple, if you are fanatical with your identity you might be able to play on other platforms.
The rest can wait for the roobet announcement but I think it will definitely be revealed here.

I've been inactive due to being busy and just want to check my account and after got a login they ask me for the KYC is this required now to just play on their platform?

Yes

I'm a bit confused if I'm going to submit their KYC or not because of this feature. Hoping someone answered me too I'm just void right now actually with their new feature. Does KYC look like now mandatory is there anyway?.

As of now, you only need to fill in your identity without having to submit any further verification ( most likely only for the age requirement of minimum 18 ). Its a mandatory KYC for everyone in case if you want to play / withdraw from the site so if you currently have nothing on the site then you dont have to fill in anything. You are free to choose another casino that doesnt ask for your KYC

Looks like Roobet's new policy has kept everyone stun in disrespect. It's kinda weird why would they ask for the identity and neither they have published anything about it on their social media's? They were like crazy hot and #1 favourite casino for every 9 out 10 users on the forum (believe so!). But this pop-up has turned the world of roobet upside down. I am afraid they gonna loose big amount of users just because of this identity thing.

Honestly I have myself done with the KYC just because Im too much into Roobet and it has given me a lot before and well I kinda love playing on it so can't argue more!

However, it would be always concerning to me that they hold my documents!  Huh Roll Eyes

Any official from roobet wanna make clarification on the privacy please?

I received a KYC pop-up just today after few weeks of not visiting Roobet.
Looks like you're inactive quite a long, does the KYC message goes to those only irregular gamblers?

I would appreciate it if roobet announced this KYC implementation when they modified their TOS.
As per my understanding, KYC should be implement for those have big bankroll, as we understand at this point security play the big role.
That’s how Roobet started, only those who have a big money on their wallet will be required to fill up KYC and of course those with suspicious account, but their recent update maybe is for every gambler now.

I don’t know much about this since I rarely visit my Roobet account but yeah, there’s a pop-up notification and I have to disregard it since I don’t want to fill up KYC as well. Let’s see for their official announcement with this, I didn’t any yet and will look forward to it.

In the world we are living, anyone can be traced if needed, even spies from the top intelligence agencies, so thinking that you'll be more secure without providing KYC to Roobet is a bit naive, imo.

You can't be serious. How can these two even be compared?

I'm not saying that we should provide our personal info to anyone on the web who's asking for it, but I trust Roobet and that's why I filled the form with honest info.

Why do you believe that?
You probably have no idea who owns the site. And unless you work for them, you have no idea about their security measures to protect our personal details. What led you to place your trust in Roobet? Because they are a popular gaming platform and, as far as I know, they haven't tried to scam anyone so far? Well, that may be a good enough reason to keep using their services but that doesn't mean everyone should blindly trust them with their personal information.

^ The reason I stopped joining their contest is just because of the KYC requirements, every time I tried to log in it will always pop up the KYC form which is I did not want to submit. Probably, there could be an effect but they only know this. Many gamblers are preferred on the none KYC gambling sites and did not require any personal information, especially we are using a decentralized currency. Nevertheless, we can not blame them if this is good for their eyesight and follow the KYC to avoid possible money laundering.
This is a big update with Roobet knowing many gamblers will be mad because they really don't want to expose their identity and me either. I'm participating on their contest but I don't want to fill up KYC as well, it looks like Roobet will be on a big hot seat because of this. Gamblers will find their way to withdraw their funds as soon as possible, KYC is not good as mandatory this is sad.

When government insists and forcibly bringing strict regulations then these gambling sites have no other choice than to accept it.

Roobet representative made any comments in this thread about their KYC update, because I can't see anything while only seeing the negative comments about such KYC policy from members.
You would really be expecting a barrage of negative comments because who do wants KYC right? but at least changing up some terms and made out some alterations or add ups

should really had at least some announcement so that people would be aware rather than they were get shocked because they've been asked on spot.

About government then its no surprise that they would really be requiring out and impose strict regulations where these companies wouldn't really
have any choice but to comply if they do like for their business to continue.
Yup, they should also give agree on statement to their updated terms so that users can decide whether they want to continue with the change of their new terms or exist from there but until now they didn't made any comment about this so we can wait and let's see their reaction.

So this pops up KYC only for a few people.

I still checking right now, logout my account and login back every time still not getting any pops up to fill up some information of my Identity. Well, don't have any plant for doing KYC just want to check for this pops up KYC.

But, I believe only a few user who got this pops up issue KYC.

I feel that it is related to the use of VPN, perhaps those who gets the pops up are those who use VPN while playing on roobet. Maybe those who gets the pops up can confirm here in this thread whether they use VPN or not. Just curious how some players get it but some other not. Official information from roobet would be better indeed so we do not need to speculate.

This could be it. I did use a VPN at one point, a long time ago. I wanted to participate in the guess the slot contest, but I couldn't see all the games in there. So I accessed via VPN but I didn't gamble. It is possible that Roobet logs all our IP addresses.

It seems to me that we are just speculating here, I still don't understand why Roobet didn't make an official announcement if there were significant changes to the ToS.
I have been using VPN ever since I started, I do not know if that would create any problems or not but so far I do not think that I had any problems at all.

Like you said it is speculation of course, I can't guarantee that you will be safe with VPN or I can't guarantee that you will be at risk with VPN, I can only talk about what I have been living while using VPN, and so far everything seems to be working perfectly without any problems for me, but that is just me, maybe some other person could come here and say that they worked with VPN and had a lot of problems, maybe they were blocked and asked KYC and because their VPN showed another place and not the place they are, that ended up being a problem and their account was banned? Who knows what dire situation may come out of it, I can only speak for my experience and it has been nothing but lovely.
