That is something many gamblers face with that they can't get over. If you are gambling as a fun, you could do that without hurting your bank and still keep doing it forever without ever stopping, if you are doing it for the money, that could end up with losing all of your money and being in debt as well. I have seen people who gamble about 100 bucks a month for the past 20 years, one of them is a close friends father who always had a limit and been gambling for around 50 years without a problem because dude knows when to stop and when to start.
I have also seen people who have taken out loans to gamble on something they felt like was a sure thing, and not gonna lie I have seen some that won as well and it changed their life but I have seen many lives ruined as well. See gambling as fun and you will get fun, see it as a way out and you may go deeper in.

However I am not entirely sure if fun thing is really what we want only neither, because if you have fun and you do not mind losing your money because you feel like you are spending it instead of gambling it, that means you could end up with the same route as well? Maybe harder path but same result if you ask me.
Like a guy who can't afford to lose 100 dollars, gambles it so he could have 200 dollars, loses and he is now even poorer and in trouble, this is bad and it is what we warn against however what if a guy only has 100 dollars and gambles just because he loves gambling and loses? He had fun but he is still poorer and still in big trouble.
