Drop me a message and we can coordinate, Luke-Jr, if you want one to work on. It does enumerate in cgminer as a U3, but if BFG is doing something different to identify it, we might be able to leverage that difference into a customized cgminer driver also which could allow for proper ID, more frequency range and stop the reset on low hashrate issue.
Is there any way to differentiate this device from a U3 with an ID or something like that? If not I would suggest just making a pull request to cgminer to expand the frequency range. Kano has some suggestions here. You should make sure to set a unique iProduct and/or iManufacturer for easy identification if possible.
Yes there is. I've experimented setting these values with Luke's code back in eruptor days... Worked fine.  This stick uses same USB chip so identification info can be written to it no prob.
Yeah, a lot of manufacturers such as Bitmain and RockMiner don't set the ID's properly which makes differentiation far more complex since they all use the same CP2102 USB chip(the icarus driver in cgminer at this point has a bunch of autodetection code for this kind of thing but it is much easier to use a proper ID if possible).

Can't sign there or polo or most other exchanges.  You DO NOT control your btc unless they're in your wallet not some website.

Clueless!
ordered 2 usb sticks...thanks for the service..they may never ROI but will keep me 'innoculated' against SAW (sudden asic withdrawl) when I
have to shut the last of my home miners off (also got a bitseed node v2 ..just got to have SOMETHING running in the bsmt even if impractical)

well at least this purchase has kept me off the REALLY HIGH PRICED pre-order stick I was on in 2013 and 2014

(hey I will take what progress I can get on my home asic miner addiction and subsequent withdrawal treatment) Smiley

anyway we appreciate the items (silly ROI that it may be) Smiley

Yeah, I guess anyone wanting to drive to Missouri for pickup should pay the $25 per stick but not the shipping. And let me know in the message that you'll be picking up.

You never know, I hear that Cuba Missouri is a real hotbed of BTC mining.....  Grin

Oh yeah? Who do you know in Cuba? My uncle runs an aluminum die casting plant over there.

Yeah, she's fine - or at least, getting that way. I'll swing back by this evening to check on her. By 5PM she was at least able to stand up straight and walk without assistance, which wasn't the case this morning.

Don't forget to include transaction IDs with your messages.

If you've sent in an order as of right now and you haven't gotten a confirm reply from me, something is wrong and I don't have your order.

I am going to let the BTC price settle a bit before sending, it just started moving down.

Oh, hey guys. So my friend picked a terrible day to need a ride to the hospital so I just got back to the shop a bit ago.

Requesting a signed message with the payment is intended to make it harder for someone to steal someone else's order. Since all transactions are going to a publicly known address, someone could email me the TXID of someone else's transaction and it'd make my job harder to prove where the coins actually came from.

Pretty sure I've signed messages from Coinbase addresses, so I know it's possible. I also know I'm slightly biased against using wallets operated by popular websites because I don't trust them not to screw me over, inadvertently or otherwise. So please forgive me if the payment process I've requested is easier to do if you handle your own money instead, because I believe it's inherently better. A different set of risks, sure, but a set of risks that you alone are responsible to manage.

I tend to use the Coinbase exchange rate, which I believe is a mirror of Bitstamp exchange rate? I'm not too picky as long as it's in the right ballpark, since the thing fluctuates anyway.

Which "exchange" do we use for the rate.

Signing from blockchain.info works.

Oh man, just, just nevermind. Guess this happens when messages go unnoticed and not responded to.

I'm not sure about this case but when I purchased from Crazyguy, he had a Coinbase buton on his site and the transaction would provide me with a refund 'Labeled' address in my wallet for the transaction.

Isn't part of the issue with "a wallet address you control" in case sidehack wants/needs to refund?  If he refunds, would coinbase be able to return it to actual "owner" of the Bitcoin (i.e. the correct account)?

Outbound tx from coinbase will come from an address that will be listed under your btc addresses and you can sign with it.
I asked the Rep about that and he said it won't neccesarily be the same since they will send the funds from their wallet.

They don't have knowledgeable reps all the time Sad
