I think the German government understands this and that is why it behaves so carefully. They understand that they will have to answer to the citizens for what they have done. After all, it is the inept leadership of the country that leads to such consequences. And excuses about evil Putin or the global economic crisis will not help. People will not forgive them for abandoning their usual way of life.

So far they have avoided backlash from the public. Inflation is at all time high, but a large part of the population do want to side with Ukraine. Things may get changed, once the rationing of gas is implemented and factories start to close down due to lack of piped gas. At this point, the popularity of Olaf Scholz and that of the warmonger Green Party remains intact. The big test will come after 2 weeks. Nord Stream will close down for maintenance on July 13th. And I don't think that the Russians will turn on the pipeline once the maintenance is completed on 23rd as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the world's largest chemical complex BASF is under threat of closure due to cuts in Russian gas supplies. For reference, this is an agglomeration of more than 200 plants in Germany, for which natural gas is both a source of energy and a raw material for production.

I don't know whether Russia will become successful in conquering eastern Ukraine. But one thing is sure. By the time the war ends, German economy will be in ruins. The sanctions did what WW2 failed to do. There is no hope for German industries. They are done and dusted, and the Americans and the Chinese are quick to fill the vacuum. Everyone is talking about how the Russians are going to suffer as a result of the sanctions. No one talks about the impending layoffs and recession in Germany. Just wait for a couple more months, and by then everything will be clear.

Personally don't believe that so significant and strategic agglomeration can be closed, even partially. One of the bad news on the current global negative background

It can be said that almost the entire Middle East is completely controlled by the United States,
It's been changing ever since the support United States has been giving ISIS became apparent. If you check the series of events specifically in the past 2 years you can see this change. For example according to CENTCOM the attacks against US forces in middle east has increased 400% in the past 2 years, they were defeated in Afghanistan and had to escape in 2021. The Iraq's parliament passed a law that made it illegal for US to stay in Iraq and they have been almost all kicked out. In Syria the amount of land occupied by US is decreased to only a small part and every week their bases are being attacked. Even the heavily defended based in Saudi Arabia have been bombed by Yemen missiles and stealth drones.

Quote
but previously what was done by Iran to get out of the shadow of the United States was certainly not easy,
It was not easy indeed. It costed us 250000 lives in an 8-year war enduring US made chemical bombs being dropped on our cities followed by 3 decades of cold war.

Iran used to be weak in 70s but no more. Today Iran is among the superpowers. Take mid 80s for example. A coalition of about 80 countries helped invade Iran but they couldn't take an inch of it, the invasion was repelled and the invaders were defeated.
Or for example on 8 January 2020, in retaliation to a terrorist attack conducted by US that killed the Iranian anti-terrorism general, Iran directly attacked 2 of the biggest US military bases destroying all US assets killing more than 140 troops and wounding 1800 more. Despite all the chest-pounding the only respond was US CENTCOM commander saying "Iran has reached overmatch and we are incapable of doing anything against them". He also calls this the largest  ballistic missile attack against United States in history.

At least Iran is no more in USA hands like rest of countries like Saudia Arabia, UAE and Pakistan. They are very much independent in making there own decisions. Qasem Soleimani was killed in 2020 by USA and Iran responded well. Iraq was well in hands of USA but when there government tried to escape USA block, it was overturned.

actually what the United States did by controlling the middle east has been going on for a long time and we'll see what it will turn out to be

The rising energy prices and general soaring of cost of living is increasing social unrest all over Europe. In the latest series of mass protests we are seeing thousands of anti-NATO people in streets of Spain protesting the worsening situation. One of the protesters demand is removal of US military bases and other secret US terrorist bases from their country. Remember when I talked about the US biological WMD building facilities in other countries like those in Ukraine?

You are engaged in the substitution of concepts, first talking about the actual production of oil and gas, and then suddenly jumping to the rating of explored oil reserves. This is a cheap trick. In terms of real production, Russia is in the top 3 along with the United States and Saudi Arabia.

Oh, the person who is here all the time giving out the fakes of Russian propaganda as the truth, suddenly got offended that the information was slightly twisted to him? Get used to it - now everyone and everywhere will behave with you in the same way as you treat everyone Smiley
But this is a lyric. So reveal the TRUTH from the bowels of the Kremlin, the most accurate sources? And tell me - in the short term, explored deposits will not become mined? Moreover, the Russian reserves of oil fields, where wells were drilled thanks to Western technologies, the reachable oil reserves have decreased significantly below 50%. And this means that real reserves, at best, are left for 15 years ... And new drilling is not possible, since Russia is a technologically backward country, sanctions prohibit the provision of technologies for drilling, and undeveloped oil deposits (and gas, in other words) - are already classified as DIFFICULT mined, i.e. for backward Russia - NOT AVAILABLE! Smiley So they will be replaced by others!

The gas ban is proving to be both. A problem for both sides. However, the long term effects will be felt more by Russia because it's easier to replace the suplier than the biyer in this case. Especialy in this capacity. It does pose a wuestion, is rhisna real turning point in earth shift towards oter sources of energy?

It's only a lot of trouble if the country has no independence and is treated like a colony. Otherwise if there is independence and the country is a powerful one, having a lot of energy to make the country self sufficient is actually a huge blessing.
Iran is a good example. Before 1979 Iran didn't have any independence since the regime was installed by US and was serving US interests. But after the revolution in 1979, Iran not only regained its independence but also regained its ancient powers and slowly the strong and massive Persian Empire was revived in a new form. One of the key points here was having one of the biggest energy resources in the world.
Iran and Iraq are weak in defence that is why they have been ruled by the powers. People and government has suffered so much.
If you look back in history Dr Mussadiq also remained house arrest for year and he died there as well.

Russia is the world's third-largest oil producer, behind the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, and the world's largest exporter of crude to global markets. It is also a major producer and exporter of natural gas. So, it is impossible if EU prospect a Russian gas ban.

If EU not able to import gas from Russia, then the country stops, the economy stops, cannot heat the houses, cannot run the economy.

When they impose sanctions, then they have to make sure that those sanctions are hurting more those against whom they impose the sanctions than themselves.

I'll just leave this real picture of gas and oil production, and now you try to prove your statement Smiley

World ranking of countries by oil reserves.
Why stocks? Because this will show how small the share of Russia in its monopoly among the European corrupt countries dependent on Russia, financing the center of world terrorism in the Kremlin...! And the list objectively shows who will easily replace the supply of Russian oil ...
So the rating is:
1 Venezuela 302,300,000,000
2 Saudi Arabia 266,200,000,000
3 Canada 170,500,000,000
4 Iran 157,200,000,000
5 Iraq 148,800,000,000
6 Kuwait 101,500,000,000
7 UAE 97,800,000,000
8 Russia 80,000,000,000
9 Libya 48,360,000,000
10 Nigeria 37,450,000,000

... and where, Russia, on which the whole world depends on oil? )))) Say it's funny, does reality look against the background of propaganda? Smiley

So what the EU is planning is to accumulate as much Russian gas, oil and coal as they can in the next few months, before they could claim that they have stopped purchasing these products.
But from what I gathered from the news they haven't been capable of storing anything since what they import is still far less than their total consumption. I'd say before winter and in fall, EU is going to be in a lot of trouble.

All those countries - who are producing and selling oil are on the verge of war all the time.
There is so much damage done to Iran and to the gov long ago when Dr Musdaag wanted to nationalize their oil. There is so much damage done to Iraq not there is so much damage Russia did to itself. OIL is not a blessing it's a trouble.

Not anymore. The European Union introduced an embargo on coal imports from Russia in the fifth package of sanctions adopted in early April (with a four-month delay for its implementation).

LOL.. these "delays in implementation" are hilarious. So what the EU is planning is to accumulate as much Russian gas, oil and coal as they can in the next few months, before they could claim that they have stopped purchasing these products. They themselves know that without the Russian imports they can't survive. Within a month or two in to the winter, we will be witnessing extensive rationing and power cuts across the EU. And I suspect that most of the fuel pumps will run out of refined products by that time. Idiots are cutting down the branch where they are sitting. Darwin called this behavior "natural selection".

Meanwhile, Germany has activated the second phase of the emergency plan amid cuts in gas supplies from Russia. The country has declared a gas shortage and a gas crisis.

This is a normal reaction to "weaning from drug dealer supplies" Smiley Sooner or later you have to pay for all the mistakes ... And with gas supplies, the issue will be closed in 1-2 years. With oil, the issue is already being closed, due to the lifting of the ban on the sale of oil from Venezuela. Maduro makes the right choice towards returning to communication with normal buyers - he does not need unsecured rubles, he needs a dollar or euro, and normal, stable contracts to stabilize the Venezuelan economy!
