Make more than one wallet I think and don't put your bitcoin in just one wallet. Atleast if someone hack your account you still save something.
There are a lot of safe way to keep our bitcoin or if you don't trust any kind of wallet you can immediately withdraw your bitcoin and save in the bank.

Making a paper wallet while offline is one solution, but I personally prefer using a hardware wallet. It's just alot less prone to damage/tampering. Lookup trezor, ledger nano, and keepkey. They're some good stuff.
Safety is much important when it comes to cryptocurrency. Because it has only the virtual presence as well everything is interlinked in one or the other way. So finding a right place to keep the bitcoins is a big problem and now this has been made easier by different wallets available with several safety features. Online as well offline wallets were available, we are the one to research and find the best for our needs.
i think the safest way to keep your bitcoin is by using hardware wallet because it is not like the web wallets which is completely connected to the internet. Hardware wallet could be use either offline or online, the only time your going to use it online is when you are going to send out transactions

Did you heard the story of a burn building in London? Cause of the fire a guy lost 1000+ BTC which were in his paper wallet. So I would not call a paper wallet as 100% protected after such case. Yes, the possibility that it will happen to you is a little, but...
If you put it that way, then no form of cold storage would help in such situation, unless you have the paper wallets or engraved metals with your keys stored in a safe that can withstand insane temperatures. I am quite up to date with the latest Bitcoin related news, but I haven't heard anything about someone losing 1000 BTC due to the fire in London -- mind sharing an article link?

I think you need to secured all your bitcoin wallet that is the best thing you can do. Stored in a secret your seed or note it and get a 2FA for a safest way. My bitcoin stored in blockchain and xapo. I think they are secured.
I agree with you, 2fa security is the most powerful way to keep and secure our bitcoin pieces, because by using 2fa only 2fa code holders can open and conduct transactions in our wallet, 2fa is a high level security that is not in doubt its security

Actually most of people will suggest you to get cold storage since its not hack-able. So and online wallet is also a good option.And ledger nano s is one of the good hardware also and immune to viruses.. If you are holding different cryptocurrency ledger nano s is one of the good choice to hold other altcoin and trezor if you planning bitcoin only..

Read first about that wallet before you used it to make sure that it is safe. The bet way i think that you can do in safe storing bitcoins is just using a walley seed or wallet private key and dont store it on the pc instead write it in some paper so you would keep it and if your pc got hacked then he cant get that private key or seed from you

If you were to continuously make seperate, independent cold wallets, you could purchase a very cheap old second hand printer which doesn't have internet connectivity, and buy something like a raspberry pi or a dedicated Linux distro to create a paper wallet and print it.
