The best and the safest way to sell your bitcoins is to be a part of trusted and reputed site and it will also depend on the country that you are living in as for me localbitcoins is the best place to sell my coins.
I agree with you that there is many trusted sites for buy and sell bitcoin and you are right localbitcoins is much more better than other and i also buy and sell my bitcoin through localbitcoins and i feel safe in localbitcoins.
If you are transacting with a legitimate company you feel better and for me that is a safe way to sell, I have been doing continuous transaction with my local exchange and I can easily buy and sell, what I am doing is safer than looking for someone who can sell you bitcoins and buy your bitcoins.

Just wondering, would would be the safest way to sell your bitcoins? Is there any platform considered universally "safe" to convert BTC in USD through Paypal, or direct deposit or something? Thank you!

The safest way to sell your bitcoin I think you must search an exchange site platform which is not being involve in any controversies or issues before with that you can assure to yourself that exchange is safe to sell your bitcoin like Poloniex.

Poloniex did a great job converting some users to their website to invest. But still there would be flaws that might create an instant end to this website. Better make an offline wallet for your own safety.
Regarding the selling, if you are going to do it fast then there wont be a problem.

Sell it in exchanger or to your friend that willing to meet up that is the safest way i know to sell your bitcoin. Dont trust in online transaction because many people are scammer so much better meet up or in exchanger.

Not all the exchange sites are scam there are many trusted sites as well where you can buy and sell your coins without any fear of loosing them, I am selling my coins on localbitcoins since I am into bitcoins and I never faced any security issue on it.

there are many good exchanger that will member to selling or buying bitcoin and i am believe this. and if we are afraid to do online transaction then we can find a friend with the same city with us to selling and buying bitcoin from them so the risk of scam will be small.

If you cannot afford to trust any exchange site then its better to sell them to a person who is available physically as it will be a face to face deal so it will go risk free.

I've sold on coinbase in the past and haven't had any problems. I have heard that some people have had issues with coinbase so some more checking before using them.
Coinbase doesn't accept most of countries (Indonesia , India , etc) , and that's why for these countries who can't sell their bitcoins on Coinbase.
But there are alternative way to exchange your bitcoin like sell it in this forum (if you want to exchange it into another e-currency PM , Neteller , Skrill ). Or go to the Bittrex , and other exchanges which offers exchange to flat and you can do it on the short-time.

But for me , in here there are local exchanges which offers swap your bitcoin instantly . This makes my process much easier , and I can get my money instant and have good support too. Smiley

*There aren't safe way to sell your bitcoins , so keep in mind for doing a research before selling your bitcoins into those sites.

coinbase is not safe at all because they are centralized it makes them 10 times less safer than using bitcoin directly yourself.

that is why i always say don't use coinbase.
they can easily block your funds and say we found something illegal in your activity so we take your money.

That's right, I am just using the service of my local exchanges in my area and the transaction is very smooth although I have to pay a little charges for the transaction, selling is just easy for me the same with buying bitcoins.

I do have a person that exchanges my bitcoins always when i contact him, i had bought with him 1,1btc at the rate of 250 dollars, then i had sold to him 1.20btc at the rate of 300 dollars, but the thing is you must search always a trusted member here or at localbitcoins to handle those transactions.

Whenever you think of a certain kind of service, it's usually already available if you look it up online. In this case, OP is looking for a safe way to sell his/her Bitcoins. In that case, he can just use any trusted exchangers out there. That's what are exchangers for, the exchange a currency into another. The currency can be in crypto or fiat.

But if OP doesn't want to use exchangers for some reason, then he can go to currency exchange board of this forum and look for a trusted guy that does this.

As described by the above mate, user can try with the currency exchange board. This currency exchange board has an added advantage of increasing the trust rate. Other than this if planning to sell online through some trading website then localbitcoins seems to be the best of all time.

You can do it with localbitcoins on a easy way and you can indeed meet the seller ask a lot of options for payment and its also that its pretty safe due to the feedback system it has.

As a trader, You need to pay some funds to LocalBitcoins in every trade you do. Better try to use free escrow here in the forum by finding the right person near to your place and have trade with them.

Others preferred meetup especially in Facebook social media groups.

But here for minimizing the risk, we can talk with the trusted escrows here. Although the word trusted can't applied to all escrows here except for the forum owner, it's not wrong to take a trust in those names that already established a good reputation here.
It's good to sell your bitcoins in a reputable exchange and that is effortless than finding a person that will stand as a escrow of your transaction between the buyer, nowadays, selling and buying of bitcoin is made easy so that is not a big problem IMO.

True, exchagers are their  and  its the most comfortable to  sell your bitcoin  and  not too much hassle. If  you intend to  sell bitcoins  on  local then be sure that  you  only  transact  on  small amount to avoid the risk of being  hold-up by someone.

Selling them in local place has a big risk as they may scam you with your coins so its always better to sell them using escrow services where your deal will go risk free.
