Satoshi Nakamoto replied to Satoshi Nakamoto's discussion Bitcoin open source implementation of P2P currency
"Dear Satoshi. Your dox, passwords and IP addresses are being sold on the darknet. Apparently you didn't configure Tor properly and your IP leaked when you used your email account sometime in 2010. You are not safe. You need to get out of where…"

So his p2pfoundation account was hacked as well....This is weird.

That must mean that the ," I am not Dorian Nakamoto" post was from the hacker aka that hacker must've known where Satoshi is/who he is etc months ago...

If the account indeed expire(or was closed for any reason) before being opened again for registration, his inbox would be empty.

I wonder if he had any information regarding any of his private keys stored on his email account.

I checked GMX TOS and it doesn't say anything about accounts being automatically closed after a certain amount of time inactive. It does say that they are able to close your account for any or no reason.

@theymos does an email get expired on gmx.com ?

I don't know.

As far as I know, accounts are deactivated for inactivity after 6 months. But I don't know if/when email accounts expire.
Judging by the email he left theymos, this guys is probably just trolling.

@TheButterZone: The account was online a few seconds ago too.

Do you have the message source so we can verify that it came from GMX's server?

I don't know.

Have u received previous mails from him ? Did he use to sign those ?

I did receive emails from him in 2010. He didn't sign them.

Maybe he was joking? @Michael, send me some coins before I hitman you.

Either he's joking, or it's been compromised like you said.

That's Funny... really funny. How could u expect that Satoshi will crack such a bad PJ ? Cheesy

Today I received an email from [email protected] (Satoshi's old email address), the contents of which make me almost certain that the email account is compromised. The email was not spoofed in any way. It seems very likely that either Satoshi's email account in particular or gmx.com in general was compromised, and the email account is now under the control of someone else. Perhaps [email protected] expired and then someone else registered it.

Don't trust any email sent from [email protected] unless it is signed by Satoshi. (Everyone should have done this even without my warning, of course.)

I wonder when the email was compromised, and whether it could have been used to make the post on p2pfoundation.ning.com. (Edit: I was referring here to the Dorian Nakamoto post. After I posted this, there was another p2pfoundation.ning.com post.)
