King Cup of Champions quarter-final matches finished and Al-Ittihad made a good result against Al-Ahli after eliminating by penalties. Karim Benzema scored the two goals of Al-Ittihad and saved them from a defeat in the end of the second period of extra time. Al-Ahli wasn't prepared at all for penalties, they missed the goal three times.
The other three teams that qualified aren't that top comparing to Al-Ittihad so I think the cup will be their this year.

Al Hilal, not Al Ahli. The match was between Al Ittihad and Al Hilal.

It was a very close match, BTW. After a goal-less first half, Karim Benzema scored in the 63rd minute to put Al Ittihad on top. But in less than 10 minutes after that Salem Al Dawsari scored the equalizer for Al Hilal. Then Marcus Leonardo scored again to put Al Hilal in the lead. Benzema saved Ittihad from a certain defeat, by scoring again in the injury time.

All the quarter final matches are now complete for the King Cup of Champions. Apart from Al Ittihad, the following teams have qualified for the semis: Al Raed, Al Qadisiyah and Al Shabab.

And I'm not sure I'll see Al-hilal lose 9 points in the remaining matches. Because even if Al-Nassr continues to win matches, it will be useless if Al-Hilal also continues to win matches. So it can be said that Al-Nassr will actually still have a very difficult time getting up to second place. Because rankings one and two can almost be said to be owned by the two top teams at the moment, namely Al-ittihad and Al-Hilal. But because we are only in the middle of the season, it is possible that the two top teams are starting to lose their consistency and this could give Al-Nassr the opportunity to catch up with these two clubs again.

Al Hilal will not waste the opportunity to win the Saudi Professional League again with the points they have and with the remaining matches this season. I was surprised when I saw the standings, Al Ittihad is leading by 2 points.
The tight competition is not Al Nassr with Al Hilal. This season the fiercest competition is between Al Hilal and Al Ittihad.
Al Nassr will not be able to catch up with Al Hilal's points gap. I no longer include Al Nassr in the list of teams that can win the Saudi Pro League trophy this season.
It is clear that Al Hilal and Al Ittihad will have a tough fight in the Saudi League this season. So far these two teams have played a total of 13 matches where these two teams are at the first and second position of the points table respectively. Al Ittihad is at the top of the points table with two points more than Al Hilal. But the good news for Al Hilal is that Neymar is fully fit again and scored a goal in the last match he played for Al Hilal. Since there is not much difference between Al Ittihad and Al Hilal, if Al Hilal does not lose points in the next match and continues to perform consistently, it will be seen that they will occupy the top position of the points table at one stage of the season. Although Al Ittihad is number one in the points table, I will be in favor of Al Hilal this season and it is very likely that Al Hilal will win the Saudi League title this season as well.

It is reasonable to no longer include Al Nassr in the list of trophy contenders this season, because they are already 11 points behind Al Ittihad and 9 points behind Al Hilal. I did not expect Al Nassr to be eliminated so quickly in the competition for the trophy this season, even Al Qadisiyah was able to overtake their current position. The appointment of Pioli as manager has not been able to boost Al Nassr performance as expected, however, the former AC Milan manager cannot be blamed entirely, because he did not get the opportunity to build the depth of the squad as desired.

Meanwhile, it seems that the tight competition will continue between Al Ittihad and Al Hilal until the end of the season, this will make the Saudi Pro League look more competitive compared to last season. On the other hand, Al Nassr still has a chance to win the Asian Champions League trophy, but without overhauling its defense, it will be very difficult to achieve. Reportedly, Al Nassr is eyeing Casemiro, I think the addition of Casemiro can increase Al Nassr chances of winning the Asian Champions League trophy later.

Football is a team game and it is difficult for a player to have much impact if he has to fight alone, although ronaldo is a star player and continues to be able to contribute greatly to the team so far, but without the mentality and also good performance of all members of the Al nassr squad, then we can say that it will only continue to make it difficult for them to win the league every season, with a position that is far enough behind the rival team of course their chances of becoming champions have been closed this season, but as you said, ending the season in the AFC champions league zone is a realistic, although it seems that it will also be difficult given the rise and also the intense competition from other teams this season.
Al Nassr doesn't have that bad of an offense if you ask me, they just have a bad defense and goalkeeper and manager. If they just could get some decent defenders and change their manager and maybe get a decent GK then they will win the league easily. That may sound like a lot, but I am talking about just literally three players and a coach, that's not a lot at all, that's quite easy to handle. I know that it feels like it is not that easy but they have money as well.

We have seen them spend a lot of money on ton of players before, so if they just spend some money like 100 million, then suddenly they have what it takes to win the league and that's not too much for them, they are capable of doing that, it could cost even less if they find good enough players. I believe 15 million each is fine, so 45 million for the players, and maybe like 5-10 to manager so they would spend half of what I said maybe and they could just win the league that way.

When Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi Arabia League, the league reached its peak, and it was the top topic of discussion worldwide. It was possible when CR-7 joined the Saudi League. But CR-7 can't highlight himself in this league. If CR-7 gives his career's golden age here then Saudi would familiar worldwide for Footbal's dreamland. I hope it will soon be for Cristiano Ronaldo.
In fact, even now the Saudi Pro League has started to gain a place in the wider world of football. Thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo joining Al-nassr we have even seen many countries start broadcasting this league. even though it wasn't before. In my country initially no one broadcasted SPL but now we get it broadcasted on our television channels too. And I think if Cristiano Ronaldo spends his football career here in the SPL then this league will continue to be known by everyone, especially football fans.

I always hope that Cristiano Ronaldo will get a trophy here in the SPL but unfortunately that is difficult to achieve. And even this season it feels almost impossible considering the existing points difference.
even though the effect of Ronaldo joining the Saudi pro league has helped in making it more popular, it doesn't look reasonable to assume that the Saudi pro league can't function independent of him or that before he joined the league, the league was doing all that bad. there are a lot of players that are currently going to the Saudi pro league outside of Ronaldo and even after Ronaldo will retire, a lot of other players will still flood this league and who knows, this might be the hub of players in the coming years. things have change i the world football especially at the time when football is no longer all about entertainment. ballers are looking to play for teams and leagues with a very good pay and when you consider that, the Saudi league is your next stop. in terms of popularity and even quality, this is still a big deal so with or without Ronaldo, clubs like Al Nasir and Al Hilal will continue to gain relevant

Maybe it was the best thing they could do to hire a player like Ronaldo who has had good performances in this team for years and other than his good performance he was a true leader so far for Al Nassr. To be honest, he was much more than just a player for his team and he was one the best players they even hired on this team,
The fact about Ronaldo and Saudi Arabian is they didn't hire Ronaldo just to have good performance but he made the Saudi League popular and for example, he is the reason for me to check the topic about the Saudi Arabia and send posts about this league while Saudi League had nothing without Ronaldo before they hire this player.

Tomorrow there will be 2 matches and I think both of these matches will be difficult to predict because each has the same performance.

  • Al Fateh vs Al Wehda
Both teams have almost the same performance. It's just that Al Fateh is in a problem that has made its performance since the beginning of the season very bad. But I will not ignore the history of previous meetings that make Al Fateh have a chance to win.

  • Al Riyadh vs Al Khaleej
Well, this is the same as the match above, both teams have very similar performance and I think the biggest chance to win is on Al Riyadh. But I choose to bet on a draw. Because both teams want to maintain their respective positions and it makes sense if it ends in a draw.

From these 2 matches, if there is a draw in all of these matches, I will feel that it is a sad surprise.

I think Ronaldo could still ask for at least 100 million a year, just for playing, if we add in commercials and other stuff for Saudi league and even for Saudi government, like for tourism and such, then we could see even more.

This dude is one of the most famous people in the world, and football is the most famous sports in the world as well, there are few bigger locally, but globally football is the most watched one in most nations, and Ronaldo is one of the biggest names there, so I believe whatever Saudi league does, doesn't matter how much they have to pay, keep overpaying him so that they can keep him, that would help them a lot and I believe he deserves it. That dude single handedly made Saudi football more famous, all by himself, he literally helped Saudis to get other famous players, many of them joined because Ronaldo did, nobody famous played there before Ronaldo. So he deserves every bit, even if they pay 200 million again, he deserves it.

You guys have said it all, Al Nassr just needs to fight for a spot that will enable them qualify for the AFC Champions League, that's sure gonna be their best bet this season because i don't see any football miracle happening their way this season for them to become the Saudi Pro League champions.
Maybe the closer goal is just that, namely Al-Nassr must try to return to second place, the same as in previous seasons. But the problem is that the difference in points with the current second place is actually almost the same. Al-hilal, which is currently ranked second, has a total of 34 points. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr only has 25 points. meaning there is a 9 point difference between the two. And I'm not sure I'll see Al-hilal lose 9 points in the remaining matches. There's no way a tree can make a forest and that's why you shouldn't expect Cristiano Ronaldo to singlehandedly win the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr. Al Nassr are currently 11 points behind league leaders Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League standings after 13 and considering how they've performed this season, I don't think they stand any chance of going top of the league again so I think the best they can do now is put in their best and finish the season in a position that'll guarantee them a place in the AFC Champions League next season
Certainly, a tree can never make a forest that's why the whole team needs to step up and start taking their different responsibilities in their various roles. I like your opinion, Al-Nassr should focus more on retaining a spot in the AFC Champions League for next season as it seems this season has already slipped past them in being top of the log, teams ahead of them don't seem to slow down.

I think what you said is right, Al-nassr has been very impossible to catch up with the points, winning the Saudi Professional League this season is just wishful thinking, plus Al-nassr defeat in the last match made Al-nassr even worse, Cristiano Ronaldo has tried his best, at least he has tried, even at his age he is still able to compete with other young players.

Indeed, Al Nassr is currently far behind in the number of points it has obtained when compared to Ittihad and of course the 11 point difference with Ittihad is certainly not an easy thing for Al Nassr to catch up with Ittihad and Al Hilal's points and what is certain is that it will definitely require a tough struggle for Al Nassr to be able to catch up with Ittihad and Al Hilal points. However, in my opinion, Al Nassr still has hope of being able to catch up with Al Hilal and Ittihad in terms of points because of course I see that there are still a lot of match schedules in the SPL, of course because of this I see that there is still hope for Al Nassr to become champions. but what is certain is that it is very difficult for Al Nassr to become champion because of course Al Nassr will find it difficult to see Ittihad and Al Hilal lose the match, but I mean the point is that it is not impossible for Al Nassr to become champion.

If you look at Al Nassr's last match against Ittihad, Al Nassr lost and of course Ittihad played very well, but what is certain is that I saw Al Nassr controlling more of the ball and I'm sure that of course Al Nassr still has hope of being able to compete with SPL teams including Al Hilal. and Ittihad as long as Pioli must really be able to organize good formations and strategies. Yes, Ronaldo is a good player and he can compete with other young players and of course this is an extraordinary thing shown by Cristiano Ronaldo and I hope Al Nassr can get up and play well in the upcoming match.

Al Nassr is 11 points behind the top of the standings and it is impossible to catch up on the points while Al Nassr cannot possibly rely on Ronaldo alone.
If we look deeper into Al Nassr, it is actually time to bring in players from Europe who can support Ronaldo to be stronger and become a solid team. While now Ronaldo is more dominant in contributing to the team and other players seem to have not been able to contribute as expected by Ronaldo.
I am sure, if Al Nassr is able to bring in European players who can be Ronaldo partner on the field, in the coming season Al Nassr will easily win the title.
Behind 11 points in the middle of the season like now, it will be very difficult for Al Nasr to get up and catch up. This is because the team in first place currently has very good performance (Al Ittihad), as does the team in second place (Al Hilal). So with Al Nasr's current performance, I think it is very impossible to catch these points. Maybe the only way for Al Nasr is to be able to wipe out all the remaining matches this season with a win, I think that way Al Nasr's hope of becoming champions of the Saudi Arabian League can be realized. But as you said, currently Al Nasr only relies on Ronaldo, so Al Nasr cannot produce maximum performance this season. Maybe bringing in new players who can be good partners for Ronaldo is an option that Al Nasr management should do.

Because if you don't do this, you can be sure that Al Nasr will always fail to become champion in the Saudi Arabian league. Because what I see, Al Nasr currently has lots of gaps in every line. Starting from the defense line, in my opinion this season Al Nasr still has a very bad defense. Even when compared to Al Nasr's defense last season, I think last season was much better. Likewise with the midfield and wing lines, Al Nasr still has many gaps in these lines. Therefore, Al Nasr really has to bring in a lot of players if you look at this. Because if left unchecked, Al Nasr will definitely have difficulty competing to become champion in the Saudi Arabian league. Maybe in this winter transfer window Al Nasr will have to bring in several players and the rest later in the summer. But it looks like Al Nasr will not be bringing in any more players at this time.

The points gap in the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr is quite far. Although Ronaldo can benefit Al Nassr and the Saudi Pro League, he may not have the magic to catch up on the current points gap.
Don't think about trophies for Al Nassr, Ronaldo has shown his ability there. He is still productive in scoring goals at his age which is not young. His role for the team is of course powerful. What can be done until the end of his contract is finished is to give his best.

The 11 point difference with Al-ittihad will indeed be difficult to overcome. Moreover, currently Al-ittihad also has a fairly high level of consistency this season. So waiting for them to lose points in several matches seems to be quite difficult. And Al-hilal is also competing very closely to take over the current top position from Al-Ittihad. So Al-Nassr, which is currently ranked 4th, feels like it is almost impossible to catch up with the two clubs currently ranked at the top, namely Al-ittihad and Al-Hilal.

And yes, we can also see that Al-Nassr this season does not have a high level of consistency like the previous season. So we also never know whether Al-Nassr will be able to win all the remaining matches this season or not. Because the only hope is that Al-Nassr can win all the remaining matches this season. While waiting Al-Ittihad and Al-hilal lost points. But it feels like it's difficult.

There is no doubt Al Nassr almost lost their chance for having top two spots into Saudi League but now it's good time for preparing themselves for next season which could be also interesting because now we have few teams are doing good job and things could be not easy for any team to stay into top ranks Al Ittihad is leading while Al Hilal defending champions trailing by 2 points while newly promoted side Al Qadisiya 28 points on third Al Nassr having 25 points which need to have strong strategy and better performance if they are looking for fourth spot.

In this season, we have good development as many teams are increasing their quality and giving challenging competition to top teams which making this league good for fans and many others those love to watch competitive soccer January window is going to have some changes which will surely improve clubs performance with few big names are also ready for having their best for this league in coming matches.

Rightly said, at his age Ronaldo is still carrying young players in his shoulder, that's absurd if you ask me, imagine a player who will be turning 40 years old in a months time is still carrying a team of 11 players. currently his second on the goal scoring chart with 10 goals in the league this season. Al-Nassr doesn't look like they will win the league because they are currently 11 points adrift the top spot after 13 games, if they are having any hopes for the the league, they have to step up and be 101% at their best.
As we can see, Al nassr performance on the field this season is quite good, it must be admitted that clubs like Al Ittihad, Al hilal are strong clubs, plus they include strong European players through the transfer market, of course this makes competition in the Saudi Arabian League even tougher. At the moment all Al nassr can do is finish the remaining matches as much as possible, although they cannot win the Saudi Arabian Professional League but at least Ronaldo and the other players have tried to do their best.

Saudi Professional League look to be a dual competition between Al Ittihad and Al Hilal, Al Nassr no longer are participating in this title race. The club at a third position Al Qadasiya don't have opportunity to catch two first clubs too. They will compete with Al Nassr for a third position in the league, nothing more.

It's very disappointment for Al Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo as they started this season with ambition to win Saudi Professional League after two seasons as a runner-up behind Al Ittihad and Al Hilal.

It is indeed disappointing, but the club management must make improvements. Efforts to bring in players have been made and also replacing coaches have been made. But good results have not been on their side. The competition is still dominated by the opposing team and Al Nassr must realize their shortcomings. Chasing the points difference is too far, so this season they must forget and also focus on improving next season. If they want the Saudi Pro League trophy, of course, there must be a big improvement in terms of overall game quality.
Cristiano Ronaldo's team is currently in fourth place in the Saudi Arabian Pro League. Speaking of Al Nassr, they still have a few things to improve. I think the team's squad is no longer enough for the Saudi Arabian Pro League, they need to spend money to sign good players. We can now think that the quality of the league has increased and the number of quality players has increased. When you look at it this way, the squad needs to be deeper and have more quality players.

I think people of football lovers are hopeless at seeing the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo. Everyone knows him and his outstanding performance in European League but here he can't give his best performance. everyone knows that people are the slaves of habit and age. We know that Cristiano Ronaldo is 39 years old which is old age. In this age, he contributes his best to Al Nessr.

Actually Al Nassr didn't play too bad, but even though they didn't lose much this year, they drew too much. They lost points because they drew too much. Because of these points losses, they are not in a competitive position in the Saudi Arabian League. I think it's time for them to leave this year and look to next year. Because the top of the league has opened up the gap. If there is no big surprise, one of the top two teams will probably be the champion.
They did not play too bad by scoring many goals but results are not too good because of their bad defense. At the end of each match, if you can not get three points, it's kind of failure because in a long season, every point you lost counts to final total points and is harmful for your rank in the league. If you get too many conceded goals, risk to lose points is bigger and this exactly problem in Al Nassr in three latest seasons.

This season is going to be worse than two previous seasons for Al Nassr as they are no long solid at the second position, but already fell to a fourth position. They can end this season at a third position or even lower than the fourth as there are several clubs are competing against Al Nassr for top positions in Saudi Professional League.
