Another European player who was successfully brought in by Al-Ettifaq is Demarai Gray from Everton. He plays as a left winger and he is still 27 years old. The deal has been reached for a fee of 10 million euros and this is Al-Ettifaq's 4th signing after securing Wijnaldum last week. Al-Ettifaq seems very intent on making his team able to compete more this season with other strong teams and they don't hesitate to continue to bring in new ammunition before the transfer market in Saudi closes. Demarai Gray will team up with Jordan Henderson, Moussa Dembele and Georginio Wijnaldum.

I can not say anything else after seeing that Arab teams will continue to bring in european players just to build performance so they can compete with other teams and not just Al Ettifaq but other teams will continue to chase European players to be redeemed from the transfer market. I admit that this madness becomes even more serious when a team from the SPL will have big ambitions to build a big football and not hesitate to spend a lot of money just for European players.

Regarding with Ballon D'Or players dominance there are not have Cristiano Ronaldo in the list name, that mean Saudi Pro League not really competitive league? I am not Cristiano Ronaldo fans and talking about fact with Ballon D'Or candidate seems not have player from Saudi Arabia teams except Karim Benzema. But some players are in the candidate list for winning Ballon D'or due their performance last season with top European teams and they are name in candidate but now sure will winning Ballon D'or.

Have bad viewed from UEFA president with Saudi Pro League teams, they are not happy after Saudi Arabia club spent much money and signed some star player and make them afraid with Saudi League will more popular than European competition League.

One thing Saudi League and not only Saudi arabs teams needs to change or improve its stop playing shit tournaments like arab cups or something like that, that only generate more minutes and more possibilities of a injuty on a player, and are tournaments without any importance, asides of the feel of the owners who like to play that tournament only because they played against his brothers, or other crowns.
Those cubs can mean nothing compare to cubs in Europe but in England, we still see their domestic clubs fight for different cubs in each season. Players who play for Premier League clubs have bigger pressure on players on other leagues because they have to play more matches each season, play during Christmas and New year holidays, boxing days. It is more pressure on their bodies than players in Bundesliga, Ligue 1, La Liga or Serie A.

I understand Arabian clubs should reserve their star players who were bought from Europe with expensive transfer fees and are receiving high salaries, for most important matches and targets of their clubs. Because those players are mostly old and are no longer able to play every matches like when they were young.

All this tournaments might not mean anything to you but it does mean a thing to the teams that participates in them. It’s true that it exposes players to potential injuries
With old players, injuries require them more time for recovery but sometimes injuries can end career of old players. As old players, they must be more careful when playing to avoid injuries and prolong their career.

Quote
it’s just the same thing in Europe, there are also several cups and competitions teams participate in in Europe that actually does not mean alot just like the carabao cup but it’s part of an achievement for any club that wins it for the season. These competitions are mostly played by the second squad of the team so other players can rest properly for bigger competitions. The Saudi teams are supposed to do the same thing also and use their second squad for the cups until it gets to the final stages of the competition.
They will use their old star players more carefully but in short term, after buying those players recently and want to make noise for their clubs and the league, they will continue to use those players as much as possible.

Exactly, you're on point @Nheer it's just like saying the Caraboa Cup or  Copa del Rey are shut tournaments because they generate more playing minutes and fatigue or injures on players, the thing is that those extra tournaments are important to the Saudi's keep them entertained and even create chances for younger substitute players to get playing time and showcase their talents just like it's been done in the European leagues as well.
Another thing is that whether they stop the tournaments or not it won't guarantee players not to be injured, injuries on the pitch is inevitable and just like @Nheer has mentioned the tournament is featured by the team b of a club so senior players would get time to rest and compete in major league tournaments, the Saudi's are trying to build their league to a more better standard and all this tournaments are necessary to make it more interesting and competitive.

Compared to many other players Al Ettifaq bought this season from the top European teams, Demarai Gray can be a cheaper option because the price of Demarai in transfermarkt is currently 20m while he is even linked to some other teams like Al Shabab and even Fulham which mean this can't be easily for Ettifaq to hire Demarai Gray from Everton.

20 Million only market value is not real price if we look at the transfer history the highest transfer was 5.1 million in 2016 ago then in 2021 it will be lower by only 2 million
So if Al Ettifaq agrees with 10 million it means that price is the highest price, moreover Demarai Gray is not a young player he is already 27 years old so 10 million is an appropriate value. Everton will definitely agree to let him go because next season this player will be on a free transfer, there is no reason for Everton to refuse this offer.

Yannick Carrasco is a phenomenal player with great attacking abilities and would surely serve a great signing for Al Shabab if he doesn't suffer to many injuries at the Saudi club.
The truth is Carrasco will not find it easy to adapt quickly in the Saudi League but when he's finally  learnt the playing pattern of his team and becomes familiar with the weather conditions of the country, he'll surely be banging goals for his new club
I don't see him displaying his aggressive performance in terms of scoring goals because statistically Yannick Carrasco scored 7 goals in 35 matches last season. Of course that's not quite a stunning record. However, I hope this is the best recruitment made by Al Shabab in this transfer window. Al Shabab success in recruiting Yannick Carrasco resulted in a long list of European players leaving for the Saudi Arabian League. So, this season's SPL competition is even more interesting after several teams recruited top European players. I think if Al ittihad succeed in recruiting Salah maybe I will watch every game they will play.

Carrasco is a good attacking player but he does not belong to top 10 of best players and he is not a phenomenon like a legendary Brazilian player Ronaldo Nazario de Lima. In history of soccer, only that Ronaldo was called as a phenomenon and Carrasco is not outstanding enough to be called the same.

It's not too easy but not too difficult because quality of Saudi Professional League is not too high so a good player who is not too old like Carrasco can adapt to it quickly and well enough. Marcelo Brozovic is at almost same age of Carrasco and adapted well in Al Nassr even he only joined them in this summer. He instantly became a key player in Al Nassr and contributed so much for their midfield and attacking areas.

Yannick Carrasco could have much better options than playing for the Saudis. This 30-year-old palyer had one year left on his contract with Atletico Madrid and he asked the team to let him go.
Atletico Madrid earned 15 million from this deal which is a good amount of money for a palyer like Yannick Carrasco.
He signed a three-year contract with Al Shabab.

In the end, football is just like any other career option, and players usually change teams when they get an offer which is difficult to reject. Talking about Al Shabab, it is not one of the teams under the ownership of the Saudi Public Investment Fund. But despite that, the team management has been successful in attracting good players from around the world. Yannick Carrasco will get an opportunity to compete against Ronaldo, Neymar or Benzema whenever his team plays against Al Nassr or Al Hilal. So at this point, I don't think that there is a need to talk about this move in such a negative manner.
Previously Yannick Carrasco was linked with Barca, but the final result should see Yannick Carrasco go to the Saudi League.
Al Shabab did not get good results in their first 5 matches. bringing in Yannick Carrasco is a pretty good move to strengthen their midfield. but it's possible that it won't be enough to change the game for the better. Al Shabab may have to bring in a few more players, like AL Nassr did when Ronaldo just came to the team.
maybe Yannick Carrasco will need a lot of adjustment to his new team.

I'm starting to like everything that currently exists in the world of football in the Arab leagues. Honestly betting on every match in the Arabian league is sometimes a little easier to predict.
If you have been following the league before, then you will find it easy to make predictions, but if you just started following the league, it won’t really be easy for people like that to predict matches in the league. I noticed a lot of people started following the league recently, and due to the signings that they made, I am sure it will be kind of difficult to predict matches in the league.

I didn’t really follow their league before, but I started following it recently, and I noticed that what you said is kind of correct, the clubs that spend a lot of money on signing players have high chances of winning their matches. Saudi League matches are a little bit easier to predict compared to the Premier League, which is full of surprises.

There was no option for him to make this much money anywhere else. That is the difference, the lower level teams do not bother with this, they could even make a lot of money with it, but the big clubs should learn their lesson from this. All those huge name clubs ended up just overspending than the smaller clubs and that's how they stayed better, just using money.

If you give me 2 billion dollars to spend right now, I could build a team that could rival la liga or even maybe premier league whereas smaller clubs didn't had that chance. Now those big clubs are tasting their own medicine, some other clubs are overspending them to get these players and that's how they are growing and getting all these players to their club.

Unlike the case with Al Nassr or Al Hilal, Al Shabab doesn't have the luxury of being a recipient of cash inflows from Saudi Public Investment Fund. So they can't purchase anyone whom they want to include in their squad. Yannick Carrasco should be a decent addition, BTW. He can work in tandem with Gustavo Cuéllar, Carlos and Habib Diallo, and it will be a formidable combination to beat for other clubs. They had a great season last year, where they finished at no.4 (out of a total of 16 teams). And this time also, they will be aiming for a similar performance in the Saudi Professional League.

Previously, in the early days when the Saudi trend was starting to intensify, Al Shabab was also associated with several names of top European players. But for some reason, Al Shabab did not participate in recruiting other top European players who had quite big names. maybe they are aware, it will be difficult to compete with the four clubs that have been acquired by PIF. Maybe that's also why they prefer to bring in some less well-known names.

The problem, not that Al Shabab is a poor club, the fact that they are among the top clubs in this competition. In this transfer window, Al Shabab also actually brought in several European players. several names including, Yannick Carrasco and Habib Diallo. by only bringing in these two players, as well as several other players as well as one of the former Al hilal players, well, clearly this is not enough for Al Shabab to be able to compete competitively in this league. It is proven that, from the five matches they have played, Al Shabab was only able to collect two points. I'm not sure if this season Al Shabab will enter the top four rankings like last season.

The match between Al Ahli vs Al Taawon in the middle of September will have a big impact on the standings, A win for the home team will be enough to help them to stay in the race for the championship but a loss or draw will give the away team an advantage to get stronger in second place in the standings, because Al Taawon currently together with Al Hilal have a one-point advantage over the team below them, like the Al Hilal vs Al Ittihad match some time ago changed the standings so this match will be the same.

LOL.. Al Ahli need some time to recover from the devastating loss that they suffered against Al Fateh. Anyway, they have 10 more days to prepare for their encounter with Al Taawoun. But before their loss to Al Fateh, they had won all 4 of their initial matches. They would have got promoted to the top of the table had they won against Al Fateh, but now they are at 4th place. BTW, their opponents (Al Taawoun) are ahead of them in the points table with 13 points (4 wins and 1 draw). So it is going to be a very tough match for them.
The defeat against Al-Fateh might have surprised everyone but it was quite natural after they had been on a winning streak. I don't think Al-Ahli will need long to recover from their previous defeat and I'm sure they will win again in the match against Al-Taawoun. For a strong team like Al-Ahli who has such a thorough depth of European players, it's impossible for them to lose 2x in a row and I think the previous defeat is a failure they can't stop. If you look at the previous meetings between the two teams, the results were quite dominated by a draw, but I don't see that result happening again later because it's clear that Al-Ahli now has a better squad so that they can get a much better victory.
It not matter if you occasionally lose a match against a rival club which is actually very normal for every club in any league when a club wins a row in the end there will be a club that can beat it and usually club knows the weaknesses of the strategy used to be able to get a chance to win like playing against Al -Fateh who can read Al-Ahli strategy movements.
The match against Al-Taawon is indeed convincing that Al-Ahli will win this match even though they are competing at home, but remember that Al-Taawon is in a very stable condition so Al-Ahli will also have a little difficulty calming down this match and betting on the match its a bit hard to predict which club will win but im just trying my luck betting on Al-Ahli.

I don't know what response to actually make about this. Because on the one hand I understand what you mean. But on the other hand, I think these competitions are really needed. Just like the leagues in Italy and the leagues in England, which are also quite a lot. Clubs bring in players at high prices to play, no matter the busy schedule. Because business in the field of football is like that. The more competition, the more profitable it is in business.

I'm starting to like everything that currently exists in the world of football in the Arab leagues. Honestly betting on every match in the Arabian league is sometimes a little easier to predict.
At least having some competition can provide playing minutes for reserve players. I think the coach can rotate the players in his squad according to the priorities and needs of each competition. On the profit side, this will add to the club's income from ticket sales and broadcasting rights.

Sure enough, things are business in this competition. the more competitions that are followed, it will automatically provide benefits to cover expenses that are borne by the club.

After all, there's nothing wrong with having lots of tournaments because after all, the competition here is also not as difficult and not as hard as the tournaments in Europe. In this way, of course they will maintain their fitness and of course, with competition that is not difficult it will also enable them to avoid clashes that will cause injury,. After all, the reality is that competition in Europe is also tougher, but the fact is that they don't always get injured in every match. Because after all, having lots of tournaments is also needed at least to measure the quality of the players. Therefore, at least the second tier players will also have the opportunity to play and of course, it will also have a good impact on them because it doesn't always have a bad impact.

Some  players who are passing their prime football age will want to move to the Saudi league because the pay is attractive. They see it as an opportunity to earn big and prepare for retirement. Some of them will earn more than they had ever earned when they were younger and played in top clubs. Yannick Carrasco is a versatile player who can be used as a midfielder and defender. And his wealth of experience will be a big advantage to Al-Shabab and the SPL.

I assume you mean that Saudi-based clubs should stop playing low-rated tournaments like the Arab Cup and so on. That tournament just like other competition we have in Europe are important to the league. The tournament might not be entertaining like those that are played in Europe but it is developing.  In the future, these tournaments that are underrated now will become important to fans and other football stakeholders.

Impossible is nothing in soccer per se. We have seen that in other leagues and other competitions in general. I agree that it would be unexpected, but unexpected defeats are the most enjoyable at least if you are not a fan of the club that lost the game.  Grin
The bettors of al ahli would still get fucked even though they were not fans from al ahli. Unexpected loss by al ahli was only bringing pain for them. When I was one of the bettors who picked Al Ahli, I didn't find it enjoyable at all.  Cheesy

But your confidence about the upcoming game against Al-Taawou is interesting because they have a streak as well and I don't think that game will be easy at all for Al-Ahli. If there was a game that I think Al-Ahli could lose and make their losing streak 2x, the one against Al-Taawou is such a game.

I refrain myself from taking a bet on the match between taawoun and ahli. I prefer to take BTTS rather than picked a team that would be winning the game.
Al taawound could not be underrated at this moment. It's as strong as al hilal.
