Al-Ahli is getting closer to an agreement with Riyad Mahrez and it was reported today that everything will be finalized. However, it seems that getting Riyad Mahrez did not make Al-Ahli feel satisfied quickly and they immediately sealed another deal with Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle. This means there will be around 4 new recruits for Al-Ahli this summer including Roberto Firmino and also Eduard Mendy. I couldn't stop thinking that the transfer went so fast and everything felt so easy for a Saudi league team to be able to sign this European player.

I like Saint-Maximin, but he had a very mediocre performance last year. He would probably not continue with Newcastle this year and would leave the team. Still, it didn't surprise me that he refused the chance to continue his career in Europe and signed with one of the Arabian league teams. Considering the players who have recently come to the Arabian league, it is acceptable that Saint-Maximin wants to relax financially, considering his future.

Manchester City have accepted a bid worth £30 million for experienced winger Ryad Mahrez from Saudi club Al Ahli. Consequently, the Algeria international has been granted permission to miss the treble-winning pre-season tour of Asia. Mahrez, will now discuss terms ahead of a possible move to the Jeddah-based Saudi Pro League team. Reports show he has been offered a three-year contract.
and as Romano reports, Al Ahli will finalize the Ryad Mahrez deal today and then time to seal the next one. Previously, Al Ahli had brought in Firmino first. so, if Mahrez joins Al Ahli, he will join and be a support player for Firmino. because referring to the coach, Pisto Mosimane prefers to use the 4-2-3-1 formation pattern. Unfortunately, Mane has no interest in joining his former team-mates while at Liverpool.

As for Allan Saint-Maximin, if the player is successfully brought in by Al-Ahli from Newcastle, he will certainly become a left-winger. however, that Allan Saint-Maximin could actually play in several positions.
well, Al-Ahli already has a front line that seems competitive. we'll see, whether they will bring in midfielders to support the depth of the squad. My assumption is that there is a big possibility that Al Ahli will still be targeting several other top European players.

Saudi Arabia's clubs are making bold moves in the football world. Following Al-Ahli successful confirmation of Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City, they now eyes on Fulham coach Marco Silva. Reports suggest that Al-Ahli have made offer of 40 million to Marco Silva, become their new manager for a two-year contract. Definitely Saudi Arabia is on a mission to sign not only Premier League players but also talented managers.
Riyad Mahrez has won almost everything. Moving to Al-Ahli is not to achieve anything but to make money because Al-Ahli is not a competitive club in the Saudi League. They ended last season in the 15th position which is not quite encouraging to attract a player like Riyad. Marco Silva has to decide whether to stay in Fulham or choose the money caravan. He is not happy with the management of Fulham for their lukewarm attitude in the transfer market. He is a good coach that moved Fulham to the middle of the table, the club will miss a great coach if he leaves. £40m for two years is enough motivation to consider moving to Saudi Arabia to build a struggling team. He would have to start sourcing for players to boast Al-Ahli if he accepts the deal.

Yes but so far the big coaches are not as easily convinced as the players. I think Mourinho has had great contracts for two decades and they would have to offer him money as crazy as they do for the players from time to time. But it could be a good strategy for them to sign coaches who have made their experience in the Premier League already and are still at the beginning of their manager careers like Gerrard. That way they buidl a good connection between European players coming over to the SPL and also bringing in some coaching experience that could improve the squad as a whole. And those younger coaches haven't yet earned their 100 million like Mourinho or Guardiola.

Marco Silva will become the second coach after Steven Gerrard (Al Ettifaq) to go to the SPL in the transfer market this summer, Al Ahli is likely to make Marco Silva the right coach for Fermino and Mahrez if this is true. I think the opportunity is very big to move closer to the SPL, of course with a very tempting offer of 40 million, Fulham will be willing to let Silva go to Al Ahli.

Marco Silva success in bringing Fulham to promotion to the EPL in the 2021 period is his best record, it's only natural that Al Ahli wants to bring the Portuguese man to work for the next two years.

Sometime I feel like what's looks like football in the future, many good players are now join Saudi Professional League when their main reason is only for money.
'for money'? i can't even agree with this. Money has become the main target why someone wanna try to become a professional football. Remember the story from kante or even ronaldo. They were coming from poor family. They can change their lives through getting big salary from being a professional football. There was also another target owned by the player but i think that mostly of players were putting money as everything right now. The popularity will follow then. So many players have various target in the football but all of them will not wanna play without getting paid.
That being said if money was at the top of their target by turning into the professional football.

It's fair enough every athlete want to make huge amount money, but I think we will not feel the beautiful of football match when the good players are divided to two side, one is focus on his career by joining top league e.g. Premier League, while the another one join Saudi Professional league.
The main target for a team played football was for winning the trophy and got a good reward from their efford. It is my belief that the club doesn't need to play aesthetically pleasing football. Winning trophy and getting reward is much more valuable compared with playing beautiful football.

I agree with you. That in the end everything is indeed a combination of Money and Hobbies. Their star soccer players are one of a kind people who pursue a career in a field they are passionate about. that is they have a hobby of playing soccer since childhood and they make this hobby a bridge to a brilliant career and make more money. It doesn't matter where the star players play, they will still be star players and we will still look forward to their performances on the field. I personally hope that one day the European and Asian leagues will join the Champions League. I want to see the ball competition between clubs become hotter and more complex in the future.

Basically, I believe it is very unlikely that young players who have great potential will be willing to play outside of the big European leagues and clubs. So yes, because the star players who are currently playing outside Europe, basically they have also previously carved out a great career in Europe. Therefore, at this moment like Ronaldo for example, whose age is no longer prime, then playing at a club here in the SPL that pays dearly seems to be a good final destination. After all, they are also still under FIFA rules, so as long as they do not break the rules then of course they will also be fine. Therefore, I think there nothing to worry about, because there will be a time for us to have new idols and it's no longer just about Ronaldo and Messi.

Another offer from the Saudi team and this time they want to hire Malcom, he is currently playing for Zenit but Malcom was playing in Barcelona before.
Al Hilal wants to hire this Brazilian forward for the next season.
However, Malcom's contract ends in 2027 and Al Hilal needs to buy this player from Zenit.
Malcom is a great player, one of the best foreigners in Zenit's squad. I think the Saudis have good relations with Gazprom and the transfer amount of 50 million euros will not be a problem for them, but for Zenit it will be a big loss.

In the last 2 years, together with Claudinie and Alberto was one of the leaders of the club, but in the Russian championship he has achieved everything and it is clear that he has no special prospects further in Russia.
If the transfer takes place, it will be the 2nd most expensive transfer in history, only Hulk was sold to China.

All of these players are really moving down the Saudi Arabian League for the money. I remember Malcolm very well, he was a great player before joining FC Barcelona but flopped big time at Barcelona. Infact the Management of Barcelona spent unwisely on players like Coutinho, Malcolm and Antonio Griezmann. Godspeed with him in this new phase.

I was surprised with the statement made by Ronaldo, after Al Nassr suffered a heavy loss to RC Celta de Vigo. He opined that European leagues are rapidly losing quality. His team lost to a club that finished at the 13th place in La Liga last season, and that too by a margin of 0-5. It was a friendly match and therefore we should not read too much between the lines. Even then, the occasion was not right for these sort of statements. It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo still holds a grudge towards European leagues, after he was treated harshly at Manchester United.

For once I'm not in support of what Cristiano Ronaldo has got to say. It does seems so, he's still got heavy heart for Europeans. Before for now he's said he'll end his career with Sporting Lisbon, now he's making decisions with anger and hate. Yeah, Manchester United did him dirty I stand by him on that, but it's not just sharp to say he opened the way to the Saudi Arabian League. It's obviously for the money and nothing else. He's currently Guinness Book of Record highest paid Athlete in the World.

That's right, it didn't take a year for the Saudi league to succeed in bringing in these European players and of course the magnet that attracted them to join the Saudi league team was the abundant salary each season. We can see in the picture that one person is sitting waiting for his friends to join, namely Cristiano Ronaldo and unexpectedly, after 6 months, other European players have started to follow in his footsteps to be able to make a lot of money in the Saudi league. Well, we are still waiting for more European players to come to this league before the summer closes.

Anyway, I also found a picture on twitter which is quite interesting and it is the transfer of European players so far to saudi league clubs except for Cristiano Ronaldo who first joined last winter.

In fact, everyone likes to work where he can earn more money and I think the players in top European teams are the same because they try to earn more and play in the country where they can make a better file for their family.
Years ago, joining the Arabian teams was not a good thing for these players but after they saw a famous player like Ronaldo join Saudi League, they accept the offers easier now.

Fabinho is very close to joining arabian club. I saw that there was good news about the development of his transfer. Al ittihad has been contacting him intensively and tries to approach him to move to the al ittihad as soon as possible. I think that the final deal between him and al ittihad gonna be reached very soon. It has been rumored that if fabinho already agreed with al ittihad. Liverpool was feeling so badly caused by some of its important players were deciding to leave from the club and go to the saudi club.

Al hilla's attempt to recruit luis diaz was blocked by Liverpool, as Klopp views him as critical for this season. I think that it's impossible to get diaz from liverpool. Al hilal shall move to another club to replace him as the next target by al hilal.

Waking up and comprehending FabrizioRomano's Twitter page, I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed Riyad Mahrez join Al Ahli. As both parties exchanged documents, the transaction had been completed. Manchester City will recieved €35 million plus add-ons for the Algerian, who has signed a contract with Al Ahli until June 2027. It's a great moment to see several key frontline players leave the Etihad Stadium for Saudi clubs. This is the two favorite players that have exited the club, IIkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez,  I hope for the possible best from then in their new prospective clubs.
Wow this is really surprising, I think Mahrez will stay at least one or two more seasons at Man City. But after reading news from multiple sources that it is true he will be going to Al Expert next season, City are now targeting RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo. Al Ahli will have a lethal attack line up with two star players Fermino and Mahrez, it will be interesting to watch their adventures in the SPL.

It looks like the SPL clubs will not stop recruiting until the transfer window closes. The Cristiano Ronaldo effect is really working well in accordance with the wishes and expectations, let's wait for who will come back to the SPL.
Previously there were rumors about Mahrez had agreed when Al Ahli came to him with an offer, because reportedly he would be paid three times the salary he received at Manchester City. At that his age which is not too young, his decision is quite good, considering that he has also won many achievements in Europa. Al Ahli attack line is actually not too bad, but when they already have two Europa star players, yes indeed there is a possibility that their attack line will be lethality.

Clubs in Saudi Professional League are richer than clubs in Chinese Super League and they have smarter strategies as well. They don't repeat what Chinese Super League clubs did by signing with average or just a little bit good like star players from Europe. They decided to sign with a super star like Cristiano Ronaldo to make noise and make their league more attractive for European star players. They picked a good time to excecute their plans after a World Cup 2022 in Qatar so that Middle East already got attention from European football fans.

The transfer of Cristiano helped the league to get more television rights in Europe and the whole league is more exciting, more attractive for people in Europe.

Other star players followed Ronaldo to join Saudi Professional League and they succeed to have Karim Benzema but failed to have Lionel Messi. I believe they will have more legendary players from Europe and maintain this like five more years will help to increase their league quality a lot.
For that matter it is clear that the Saudi league is superior to the Chinese league and maybe in the past the Chinese league would not be able to bring in players like this. On the other hand, as far as I can remember, the one who was most attached to transfers to the Chinese league was a player from Chelsea, namely Oscar, who joined the Chinese league team and that had surprised people. Even though he was in his prime and he chose to join the Chinese league to get an abundant salary. But indeed, all this did not last long because Europe's top leagues still have the magic of the two GOATs, namely Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, so that everyone prefers to watch all the matches of the young talents within the scope of these two players.

A landslide victory for the Saudi league was to succeed in signing Cristiano Ronaldo and at the same time he could no longer compete in Europe, so even a big offer would be very tempting for Cristiano Ronaldo. But his influence and exposure on the pitch has always been a breath of fresh air for other players to follow in his footsteps. But it's a shame we can't see the rivalry of the two GOATs in one league competition and Lionel Messi prefers to enjoy his old age in MLS. In my opinion, with no two GOATs in one competition, they can still prove their competition to influence other European players to join the league they currently occupy.

I new this deal will work, Henderson can not resist such offer, beside he will be working under his former teammate Gerrard steven, this is a good news to the Saudi Arabia league, more players are coming in so fast, and the leageu is as popular now than some leagues. Next season, will be interesting to watch the league.
Henderson is old enough and even he is a captain of Liverpool, his position will be taken over by younger players. Two big titles with one Premier League and one Champions League with Liverpool are enough for his career. He is already a legend in Anfield and he can leave Liverpool to join Saudi Professional League without many regret of unfinished things there. He completed dream of many Liverpool fans and many generations of Liverpool players including Steven Gerrad.

Alex Telles is at a lower quality level than Henderson but he will help the league to grow in quality.

Liverpool Football Club has reached a preliminary agreement to sell their esteemed captain, Jordan Henderson, to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq. The deal, which amounts to £12 million with potential additional payments, marks a significant shift for Henderson, who has been an integral part of Liverpool's success for over a decade.

Finally, henderson's transfer process will almost come to its end. So many people were posting how he has been contributing a lot to the liverpool. Another great player from liverpool was joining in the saudi club after firmino has become the first liverpool player who joined in al ahli.
The next must be fabinho. I dunno his progress. I may try to check it later. We are still a long way to go till the end of summer transfer season. I expect there will be so many players to join in saudi pro league.

More superstars, more viewers will be watching this league next season. Even some unpopular club in saudi pro league was also starting to approach some european players.
This league gonna be crazy next years. I wonder how much money will able to be spend by saudi club till the end of summer.
Money is nothing for saudi club.
