The Chinese also spent a lot of money on the transfer, but they didn't manage to attract so much attention. I think Ronaldo is a very big influence at this point. Because he transferred to the Saudi Professional League, many footballers refer to him. If the Chinese League had made this kind of transfer at that time, they could have had a bigger impact.

Last year there was only Ronaldo in the Saudi Professional League. This season there are also star players like Benzema, Riyad Mahrez, Allan Saint-Maximin, Roberto Firmino and Edouard Mendy. Let's see what kind of league awaits us.
That's right Ronaldo is the most influential football player to date with Lionel Messi. His presence in the SPL made the league boosted and received good ratings on the international stage. It is possible that a few more players will go into the SPL and add to the list you have mentioned.

If you look at the list of players who are rumored to be going to the SPL, there are lots of names on the list. Marco Verratti is a player who is being hotly discussed about joining Al Hilal.

The movements made by Arab League Clubs are indeed very surprising, especially not only one club that does that but there are several clubs that make large transfers of players from Europe and also the prices are relatively high compared to their market prices. Of course it will make the name of the League even bigger, it is proven by the many requests for broadcasting rights to broadcast Arab League matches, not only this season, but already from last season after Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr. Money talks here, they spend money to get money.

Saudi league is taking all the lights these days, even Guardiola talked about it after Mahrez departure and he estimates that a new wave of players will be seen in the future moving there.
Al-Ittihad : Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, Jota,
Al-Nassr: Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles
Al-Hilal: Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Malcolm, Kalidou Koulibaly
Al-Ahli: Edouard Mendy, Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Fermino
This list will most likely increase with many players being contacted to join these clubs. Some players rejected offers and others might rethink about it: Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata, Aleksandar Mitrović... Youssef En-Nesyri is also contacted by Al-Hilal. Allan Saint-Maximin will join Al-Ahli...

Thanks for posting this list. And I am waiting for more signings by the top players, before the start of the next season. And also, just because some of the players rejected an offer for the first time, it doesn't mean that they will not consider about it later. By 2026 or so, I could imagine the Saudi Professional League becoming the most star-studded league in the world. But whether it will become the most popular club football team is entirely another topic. European clubs do have huge number of followers all around the world, and this is something that the Saudi clubs lack at this point.
Indeed European leagues are way popular since they attract best players from all over the world, whether thanks to their academy or their eyes in countries like Brazil. Eventually this took much time to build and some leagues decrease while other pop-up. I remember Serie A for exemple was very attractive few decades ago then come La Liga while now EPL is by far the best.
Saudi Arabia league, and I suppose other gulf countries will follow the trend, are attracting top players, even if they are old, to make people get curious and watch their games. This will generate revenue and push them to make things more and more attractive. By the end they will try to be as attractive as major European leagues.

Saudi league are already achieving their aims already, they are getting what they need from the public, previously nobody knows about the Saudi league, you won’t hear about them even when the transfer window is open, but with the amount of money spent on players currently, everyone’s attention have been shifted to their league, people that don’t know about them are being make some investigation about the league, just because of the amount they are spending just to get quality player’s. With the players they have gotten in their league, then people will start watching their matches.
Saudi Pro League success get more public attention after signing many star players, currently no body know about Saudi Pro League teams and Cristiano Ronaldo effect make many potential top European player move and play for Saudi Pro League teams. Before arriving Cristiano Ronaldo have several top European players but not giving impact with public attention like Greece player Georgios Samaras, Inter and Milan former Sulley Ali Muntari in season 2015 and Sebastian Giovinco in season 2019. But most of them can't make Pro League teams most popular after arriving Cristiano Ronaldo.

Have question about Saudi Pro League competition will existing until how many years later? Chinese Super League ever give fantastic salary for top European player but right now many club get collapse and some European player return back for playing with European teams.
Indeed, this is one of the effects of a GOAT and it must be admitted that his influence can make other European players start to follow in his footsteps in the Saudi league. Previously, no one would have thought that more than 10 players would come and even some of them were still at the ripe age to reach their dreams in European competition, but indeed the money was too big to make them prefer the Saudi league as their new home.

If from my point of view it is possible that the Saudi league will continue to survive for the next two seasons, but this must still be balanced by bringing in other European star players and if they do nothing in these two seasons it is likely that the Saudi league will not last long either.

You should read the news more closely.

I recently found this "Saudi Ministry of Sports to allocate 17 billion for transfers" and I think this says it all. There is no need for you to worry about the future of the Saudi league. They have been equipped with almost 3 billion per year for the next 6 years for transfers and there is no red line either. Nobody knows whether they add the same amount once more and make it 34 billion until then. The resources are there and as long the financial future is secured, they will always find European players to go there.

All I can think of from my point of view are the Saudi clubs as European stars have now joined their league In that case the Saudi League may become more popular. If the Saudi League is focused on football the way they are currently, if they have this impact for two seasons then the Saudi League will definitely survive. The way the Saudi league is currently spending money on their football and signing European stars to their league should last for two seasons. If they pay so much money, the best stars of the world are offering them to come to the Saudi league There maybe in the future they can become a popular league like in Europe and the Saudi League is expected to survive.

SPL and Chinese league aren't comparable. Surely SPL is more attractive than Chinese league. The clubs of SPL also have more money than the clubs in China league.

Now Ronaldo unfortunately does not show a good game, he can't score 5 matches and we can compare him with Messi, who even after moving to MLS still scores with beautiful shots and in general it is clear that Messi unlike Ronaldo plays in his own pleasure and gets everything he wants from the game, and not tortured on the field like Ronaldo.

Many thought that in Manchester he was treated unfairly and was not allowed to play and therefore he broke down and made scandals, but now he is not prevented, on the contrary, everything is done to make him play. The Saudis have made Ronaldo's living conditions like the Greek gods and pay the biggest salary in the world, but instead of playing, he almost walks on the pitch, as in this match, gets angry at teammates, coaches, cameramen and apparently blames everyone for his troubles except himself.

In general, it seems to be necessary to leave the sport in time to leave a good memory and legacy about you.
Now it is not clear how Ronaldo will end up with his constant dissatisfaction. Still, he needs to pull himself together, start scoring as he knows how to relieve psychological stress, because so many matches without goals, in such a league Ronaldo can not be allowed.

Why all these comparisons when you can just watch them both and smile? I did compared them alot but these days, I just go back watch these king's doing magic and wonders on and off the field of play.
Ronaldo has earned all of that. Take it easy on you, he's won it all. Most careers can't match what he's achieved so be happy someone could do so through hardwork.

Lionel Messi might be your favorite player but there's no point in all these comparisons. Infact, he has a young mind active brain to do more but believe me he's got no strength and energy to do all that he did during them Europe stay. Lionel Messi is naturally talented and also at this same age, Cristiano Ronaldo dominated the Italian Seria A scoring Astonishing goals.
I have no questions to both of them cause they are probably the best two players of their generation and there have been no better players since they started playing at the adult level, the years from 2008 to 2022. The simple question is that Messi apparently realized how to end his career, won everything he could, went to MLS to play for fun, realizing that now he can not play as before in the top championships, although Messi's last season in PSG was not so bad. Besides, Messi is a couple of years younger than Ronaldo and will probably be able to show decent soccer for another year or two.

But Ronaldo still can not understand and accept the fact that his best years are behind him and is snapping at everyone around him, which does not bring pleasure to him or his teammates and coaches. It turns out that now everyone will remember not Ronaldo's legacy, not his constant work to achieve results and his goals, but will remember his faded game and hysterical outbursts.

Saudi pro league becomes even more interesting.

There will be some matches to come very soon in saudi champions cup.

Al nassr gonna face US monastir. Al Nassr has a good chance of winning against Monastir who is not doing well in the Tunisia Professional League despite having a small odd. In another match raja casblanca gonna face al kuwait.
It seems like that if casablanca will have a tough game against al kuwait. We do know that if al kuwait was consistently performing so well in kuwaiti premier league. My choice was on raja.

It will be so good to see the new player like mane gonna play against US monastir. My guess if ronaldo will be angry if al nassr will get same result like the previous one.

His fate may be the same as the Chinese Super League because there was a lot of talk about player transfers with fantastic fees. At that time, the Chinese Super League brought in a number of players who were in their golden age, such as Oscar, Pato. Now the Saudi Pro League is doing the same thing in bringing in players.
Maybe players under the age of 30 are inspired by big salaries in the Saudi Pro League or other possibilities. If this player follows in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, that's a big mistake because Ronaldo has entered the final phase as a professional football player.

At the moment I feel that the Saudi Pro League is undermining the market price in terms of recruiting players. If someone says the Saudi Pro League is destroying the market for player transfers would you agree?

Al nassr was crazy as fuck. This team is still in a plan to bring marcelo to the club which will make ronaldo to be reunited with one of his best friend in real madrid. Saido mane will be adding another power to the attacking lines owned by the club.
It seems like that al nassr gonna targeting the european player as much as possible. This is so crazy to see how arabian club is spreading its money to get so many european footballers. I have heard that some clubs are also still on the way securing some names from EPL and la liga.
Well Al Nassr and the other clubs know what to do and how to attract people to follow the Saudi league. This summer we heard a lot about this league, it is like giving very long and big advertisements everywhere but for free.
With all players joining teams in Saudi Arabia, the league will be very attractive, people will watch it more and more which means more revenues by selling T-shirts and other stuffs, broadcasting rights and so on.
I assume Saudis made a good decision to attract everyone to their league rather than buying stocks and a very known team like PSG and Manchester City.
Saudis are currently investing heavily in various sports.  Several clubs in Europe are Saudi owned and have launched their own football league where they have already signed several footballers from Europe to their league. Saudi clubs are making a lot of money investing in football. The biggest example of investment is Al-Nassr because they are because this club signed Cristiano Ronaldo, the biggest advertisement in the world of football, to their club. The football world has been introduced to a new league after Cristiano Ronaldo signed with Al-Nassr. I think because of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Saudi League has become known worldwide. Al-NassrIt team has increased their investment after Cristiano Ronaldo and the team is earning a lot of money from different media.

Bayern doesn't need him anymore. The money raised from selling mane to the saudi club gonna be used to sign kane from spurs. It's a win win situation for both of clubs. Bayern will able to buy kane from spurs while mane gonna leave from the toxic club and he will join in the saudi club to play together with CR7 and so many great players. Sadio mane will make attacking line of saudi club to be even better compared with last season. Even the club was able getting draw against some strong teams.
I would not be surprised if mane will also change the attacking line of al nassr. Im very happy ronaldo gets another great team mate that comes to the its club. Mane being convinced by ronaldo's suggestion to leave from bayern and join in the al nassr.

There will be great improvements gonna happen in al nassr. I can't even wait for the first match between al nassr vs ettifaq. We will see ronaldo to face great stars that already bought by al ettifaq.
Actually Bayern Munchen is looking for a player with a back number 9 or a pure striker to replace Robert Lewandowski who left for Barcelona. Mane who was recruited from Liverpool, is thought to be able to occupy this position even though Mane original position was as a winger. Many consider the factor of changing his position as a center striker at Bayern Munchen to make Mane not develop and unable to make the expected contribution.

Apart from that, the injury factor and tension with his team-mate Sane further worsened his performance on the field. If the money from selling Mane can be realized in recruiting Harry Kane, then it is predicted that Kane can meet Tuchel expectations on the front lines without significant obstacles. But Kane could have met the same fate as Saido Mane if he suffered an injury in his first season, hopefully not.

I think that would be a really wise move from Bayern Munchen to use the money they get from the Saudis gave for Mane to buy a super talented forwarder which is not that high on age too,it is a win situation for Bayern Munchen considering that Mane was not performing like expected with Bayern.

On the Saudi side they are doing all in their power by spending a huge amount of money to try and recruit as many world class players as they can for the Saudi League which if they continue with this rhythm for another 5 years it will be a great league.

Didn't Ronaldo usually play in a wing position and then attacked with massive speed and made use of his ability to finish with both feet? Maybe the coach makes the decision to let him play as a center-forward because he isn't as fast as he used to be. However, when I watched some scenes from games he still is one of the fastest on the field. I think these outstanding players who have more speed than most of the others and who can also use both of their feet almost equally, are of more advantage to the team when they play in a wing position. But sure he can also play center-forward.
Ronaldo is the player who can able to playing at different position and he was starting his career at Manchester United as a winger and at that time he was recognized as fast player with amazing drible skill but when he was moved to Real Madrid the manager very often to played him as second striker or inside forward and during play at this position Ronaldo goals records was increasing rapidly even i have to says Ronaldo has reach to his high level of performance at that time

And at Juventus he got new position as a centre forward and his performance was quite impressive with that position and still able to scores a lot of goals and since that Ronaldo was often to playing as centre forward even so with Al Nassr and the records 14 goals from 16 matches has proven Ronaldo is very suitable if he played as centre forward

Nice move for sadio mane , coming to Saudi Arabia won't  be bad for Sadio mane,  he is a great player and I believe his performance will be productive in Al Nassr.  It will be so great to watch the combination of Sadio Mane to see what the results will look like. I'm very sure Sadio Mane present will strengthen the squad for next season.

Sadio Mane is one step away from officially becoming an Al-Nassr player and a medical test will be carried out on Monday night, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. I think Sadio Mane has really made his choice to join a Saudi league team and this will make Al-Nassr's attack line even sharper next season. His duet with Cristiano Ronaldo is the most awaited thing and it is hoped that Al-Nassr can return to the Saudi league championship after last season they failed to compete with Al-Ittihad. My prediction is that if Sadio Mane gives his best performance he will score more than 15 goals next season.

Since both Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel are both pushing him away... The best league to finally see him play and at the same time match his wages and salary would be the Saudi League. They will have what it means to be creativity with players like Ronaldo, Marcelo, Brozovic, Alex Telles and many more others. He will have enough games time unlike the last few months he spent with Bayern Munich
Mane will occupy the left wing while Ronaldo will remain as the big number nine to put all the through balls into goal. Bailey from Manchester United has also been rumoured to be joining soon.

Public Fund Investment is like a funding company and they founded by the Arab kingdom and is currently controlled by the Arab Prince, so the wealth they have invested is to buy several clubs in the Saudi Pro League and these clubs continue to spend enormous funds to buy foreign players from Europe it is very clear to make their country's value increase especially in terms of football so they can win the 2030 world cup host selection, I suspect when they have won the election slowly but surely the Saudi Pro Liga will not do what they are doing at this time.
So far we haven't seen any reports that their league is earning as much or in proportion to what it's spending, so it's impossible to continue spending fantastic money if it doesn't get a commensurate return, so what's being done right now is purely for the 2030 World Cup.

The World Cup in 2030 is one of their targets and they still have some big projects called Giga projects you can check it here Giga Projects. meaning even if they managed to host the World Cup in 2030 they will continue the trend like this through the Saudi Pro League until they get a return on their investment. A few weeks ago I read a local article that said PIF lost several billion Dollars I mean investing in football clubs, in fact they are still continuing this massive investment bring in more European players. We know their target right now is promotion that's why we in this thread talk them through football and get our attention.

Quote
However, it is difficult to compare the Saudi Pro League with the MLS or the league in China because the money that is circulated and used by each league is very different.

It is true that the circulation of money used is different but here we are talking about the impact, if this method gives a better impact why don't they use the same method right? or maybe they are still waiting for how it will end, yeah about 10 years from now we can see the results.

Saudi league is gonna be one of great league. It will be so bad if this league will not be entering into the top league. The fact that if saudi league is far different compared with chinese league.
People were comparing both but saudi league was even more crazy compared with chinese league. The money being spent by saudi club is far higher compared with chinese league. It's not only getting the hype, but it was also building long term investment.

If you know about Public Investment Fund (PIF) who manages 5 clubs in the Saudi League and Newcastle United then you will not be surprised they can do something you never thought of before including when they made an offer to PSG to bring in Mbappe worth 300 million you know that's as much as they spent when they bought Newcastle (350 million) and reportedly this company has total assets worth 700 billion  Cheesy  so we can no longer compare the Saudi League to the Chinese League or MLS now this league is one level under European Leagues IMO.

The transfer window is still available in the next month meaning there will likely be more European players joining the Saudi League, this week we are waiting for 2 players then who next week?  Cheesy  By the way why didn't they think about signing Neymar, do we have to wait another season?
However, it is difficult to compare the Saudi Pro League with the MLS or the league in China because the money that is circulated and used by each league is very different.
