There is a lot of speculation about Sadio Mane and whether he will stay in Bayern Munich or move to Saudi Arabia teams namely Al Ahli. I see contract being talked about and money while his agent mentioned clearly that there isn't any contact (yet) between the player and any Saudi Arabia team.
I guess it is a move to let Mane think clearly about his future without pressure. His career with Bayern Munich will not be promising, he better join another team like PSG or Inter / Juve or maybe Real Madrid.

Anything about mane is still remain unclear. He has been saying himself probably to stay at bayern while the latest news said that mane is likely to go to the manchester united which is impossible thing to happen as MU doesn't have lot of budget to buy the new player.
I retain myself from speculating him caused by there was no reliable source that has been telling the truth. Most of news were only speculation without a proper data to support it.
It's likely mane will be staying in bayern till next season. There's no need to determine his future since mane is still remain uncertain with his own future.

Two other forwards and new players who are going to join the Saudi Arabia league teams are Bernardo Silva and Sadio Mane, both players got offers from Saudi teams Sadio Mane is a player who had good performances in Bayern Munich except for some matches in the last weeks and now he got an offer from Al Ahli, also Bernardo Silva is another forward he got an offer from Ah Hilal while Bernardo in on the situation he can choose other Europian teams because he had performed well in Manchester City and even won the champions league with this team.

This a great money-making opportunity for Italian legend and the second division club Parma. I am sure Parma will be glad to let him leave because he still has a year contract remaining which will make the club to be part of the £25m a year windfall. I don't know why the Saudi League wants him because he doesn't have the influence he once had and he is now old and injury prone. Maybe they want to use his past achievement as a strategy to gain attention because the Saudi League is adopting the name 'The League of Legends'.
He is not so strong he was 10 years ago, that is for sure. But his skills would be enough in this league and what is even better, he will bring more fans to the games of his club, with his success and his name. That is what they want to achieve this year: more fans and more public relation for the league and the development in the next 3-5 years. They dont do that with advertising on tv or by organizing a world championship, you do it with the best players in the world who have had great success in the past. I think this is a clever marketing strategy and at the same time the quality of football in the country will be better.

Saudi needs publicity, while age is just a number. Buffon has reportedly turned down the mega offer from Saudi Arabia and is expected to announce his retirement in the coming days. Personally, I didn't think he would choose to play there for several reasons, even for such a big amount of money involved. Hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to see him return in a coaching role at some point in the future.
Buffon would be a defeat for the league, he would attract a lot of fans to the league, his name is known all over the world. But there are many others coming, this year or in the next 3-5 years. Mohammed bin Salman wants to make the Saudi Professional League one of the best leagues in the world and slowly more and more fans are coming. The champions Al-Ittihad had as many fans in the stadion as a club in Germany, so that is an average of 40,000 fans per game. Behind this is a multi-million dollar plan that will use a lot of money to make the league better in the years to come. In 3-5 years, possibly so strong as the league in portugal, austria or turkey.
This a great money-making opportunity for Italian legend and the second division club Parma. Maybe they want to use his past achievement as a strategy to gain attention because the Saudi League is adopting the name 'The League of Legends'.

Gianluigi Buffon now has three options, one is to remain in Parma and become the highest-capped Italian goalkeeper, retire from football as a legend, or move to the Saudi league thereby making more money.

Yes of course it's all about money, maybe when they feel tired of the competition and heavy pressure in Europe. Then, they prefer to play in the Saudi Professional League because of course, besides not getting high pressure, at least they also get a lot of money playing in the Saudi Professional League club. Also, there is also one rumor that says about Al-Ahli's desire to reunite Firmino with Mane. Of course, it is a big project if Al-Ahli can really realize it, but I'm sure it won't be easy to bring Mane from Bayern Munich.
I never expected Sadio Mane's career to turn out this way. He was at his best in Liverpool and won so many trophies including the Champions League. Disappointed by the ill-treatment he received from the Liverpool management, he moves to Bayern Munich.

I expected his career to flourish but injury and two locker room disagreements which include him punching his teammate affected his performance. But he managed to score 12 goals and also provided six assists in 38 games. His move will depend on the plans Thomas Tuchel has for him next season. If he is needed in Bayern, he can decide to stay and make more impact in Europe. If not, it will be better for him to move to Saudi Arabia and make money. He will even enjoy Saudi society because he is a Muslim.

PwC shows players will be applied with withholding tax, from 5% to 20%.
Saudi Arabia. Individual - Taxes on personal income
Quote

Thanks for this. Saudi Arabia may grant special exemptions for the players, so that they don't even need to pay this 20% withholding tax. Anyway, the situation is much better than what they have in Europe, where a majority of the salary is eaten up in the form of direct and indirect taxes. With Europe moving further to the extreme-left of the political system by electing parties such as the radical socialists and greens, the players are doing the most intelligent thing to do by moving to other jurisdictions.

European clubs made offers to Roberto Firmino. For example: I read last month in a speculation that Real Madrid wants to strengthen its forward by transferring Brazilian star forward Roberto Firmino. Or I read last month in a speculation thatRoberto Firmino was on Galatasaray's agenda. Roberto Firmino chose the Al Ahli team.

Firmino has been coming to the saudi. In this vidio, he has been getting so many anthusiasm from al ahli fans since he was officially joining the club.

https://twitter.com/centregoals/status/1677020228373340175

Firmino has been taking the right decision. Al ahli as a new team promoted to the SPL has been making some impressive movements. It's started from mendy and now firmino.
The club can be one of potential club to compete with some powerful clubs in SPL like al ittihad, nassr and hilal. Im really happy he was picking to join in al ahli rather than going to the galatasaray.

Ahli gave him better offer than galatasaray. He is now getting a new home for several years later. I hope that al ahli will able to buy more european players to be transferred to the club. I can't wait firmino's performance with al ahli.

I guess when you’re no longer as relevant as you used to be and perhaps the competition is starting  to get to you as more younger players who are also more fit comes into the scene. It would be a good idea to play in a less competitive league. Obviously, the money is a really good motivation to move over to the Saudi league where there is less competition as in the premier league.
I think in the coming years, the Saudi league would see more influx of European players who would either want to play in a less competitive environment or/ is drawn in by money.
Good luck for Firmino as he furthers his career over at Al Ahli. Although I would miss seeing him in a Liverpool jersey.

^^^ Currently Sadio Mané is earning €22 million per year from his contract with Bayern Munich. The offer from Al Ahli is surprisingly lower than what he currently receives. As per reports, Mané is being offered a salary of €20 million per year by the Saudis which is around 10% lower than what he is earning right now. But I guess he doesn't have too many option with him right now. Bayern Munich management is not happy with him, as a result of various on-field and off-field incidents and other available options for him are much less lucrative.
I think if Al-ahli manages to bring in Sadio Mane and bring him together with Firminho. Then this will make the club's performance truly extraordinary. We know Firminho and Mane have had a bond since at Liverpool. So when the two meet then it will be a reunion that I think can get Mane back to his best. We know Mane's time at Liverpool was extraordinary. But he went to Bayern it seems he had difficulty adapting there. But if Mane moves to Al-Ahli then I think he will adapt quickly because there is a player he has played with for a long time at Liverpool, namely Firminho. which of course will make Mane comfortable there.

I'm not sure what Sadio Mane wants to do for the next season but we know it depends on his team and the players they are going to hire for the next season because if Bayern Munch makes Harry Kane join this team for the next season they won't need Sadio Mane and he can easily leave Bayern Munich to the Saudi teams.

However, Sadio Mane is still in a good situation and I think Al Ahli should pay lots for mont for this player even at this age.
Al-ahli will have to pay a higher price if he wants Bayern to let go of Sadio Mane. But actually there is a reason behind why Al-Ahli made an offer that was not too high for Bayern to get Sadio Mane. One of them is that Sadio Mane often has problems at Bayern. and actually Bayern and Sadio Mane's side don't seem too good lately. There is a lot of news about some of the problems that have arisen at Bayern regarding Sadio Mane. these problems remind me of when CR7 also had problems at Man United. Nah Al-Ahli reckons that Bayern might let him go with this offer. But I personally doubt that Bayern will let go at the price offered by Al-Ahli. But if Al-Ahli raises the bid even higher then I'm pretty sure Bayern will let him go happily.

Bayern Munich is surely not good experience for the 31 years old Senegalese with now looking for new destination with most chances he will prefer to stay in Europe but right now any prediction is not going to be perfect because we have few rumours two Saudi Pro League clubs are chasing him but nothing officially coming from any party. Al-Ahli already have Firmino, so they want to reunite him with Sadio Mané and Al-Nassr is also looking for him, but we have to wait for the official statement from both parties.

One thing is clear that it's all depend on Harry Kane and Bayern Munich contact because if we have this move then surely he is going to leave otherwise they can accumulate him because they also have no other suitable option right now with Manchester United is also having interest in signing the Sadio Mané.

I don't think that it has solely to do with money. Income tax in Saudi Arabia is quite low (20%, compared to 55% in France) and the quality of the national league is quite good (unlike the case with the European leagues). On top of that, Saudi Arabian clubs are know to respect and value their players, unlike some of the European clubs. Also, the managers in European clubs are very powerful and they decide whether a particular player gets an opportunity to start in the XI or not. I haven't noticed any such issues with the Saudi Professional League.
Do football players in Saudi Arabia have to pay 20% income tax too?
Are they gotten special income tax than normal citizens and are free from such tax?

PwC shows players will be applied with withholding tax, from 5% to 20%.

There is no individual income tax scheme in Saudi Arabia.

Income tax is not imposed on an individual's earnings if they are derived only from employment in Saudi Arabia.

Non-employment income is taxed as an entity or permanent establishment (PE). See Taxes on corporate income in the Corporate summary for more information on the taxation of non-employment income.

A non-resident person with no PE who derives income from a source in Saudi Arabia is taxed based on the withholding tax (WHT) regulations. See Withholding taxes in the Corporate summary for more information on WHT regulations.

Payments made from a resident party or a PE to a non-resident party for services performed are subject to WHT. The rates vary between 5%, 15%, and 20% based on the type of service and whether the beneficiary is a related party.

The WHT should be paid within the first ten days of the month following the month during which the payment was made.

The domestic rate for WHT is 5% on dividends, 5% on interest, and 15% on royalties.

I just hope Robert Firmino deliver a good job in his new club, he would afterall he got lengthy experience in European football. Saudi Arabia is the final destination for any footballer looking to earn an excessive amount of money from clubs. Earning big bucks is the only option for Robert Firmino; he's one of Jurgen Klopp's excellent players who performed when given the chance. The Brazilian international's decision to become part of the Saudi Arabian team is completely understood; players that transfer to the Saudi league have little or no performance to provide, because it's all about competition.

Roberto Firmino's is fast aging and wouldn't be giving 100% performance he was delivering in his early years as Liverpool player. He knows that accepting any offer with a top European club might not give him much playing times as he would be preferred to be coming from the bench.
Saudi Arabian clubs are offering huge amount of money which most the European players that are going there will fall back to after their retirement from playing football. He's still got great footballing skills that'll make his stay at in the middle East a success

Previously, there were various rumors linking the Brazilian player to join several clubs. whether it's AC Milan, or even Real Madrid, it was also rumored that Firmino was interested in joining Barcelona. but now, Roberto Firmino has signed for Al Ahli in the Saudi Professional League after his contract with Liverpool expired last season. in fact, previously there was hope that Firmino would find another club in Europe. but Al Ahli have announced that Firmino has signed for them as a free agent. reports indicate that his contract with Al-Ahli will last three years. thus, Al Ahli have signed Firmino and Edouard Mendy.

Now, Al-Ahli is interested and is trying in the last few days to bring Sadio Mane to join them. at least, if Sadio Mane accepts the offer, Al Ahli have players who are sharp enough up front. although, these two players are no longer young.
If I refer to their squad, most of the players are dominated by local players. my guess is that it is very likely that Al-Ahli will still bring in several other top European players. apparently, very interesting.

Previously I had heard rumors that Riyad Mahrez would join a Saudi league team and it turned out that the club was Al-Ahli who had recently acquired Eduard Mendy and also Roberto Firminho. As the team is promoted to the saudi league next season Al-Ahli could be a new contender to win the saudi league title if they continue to bring in European players who have a lot of experience.
Al ahli has been making so many progress. This is even more compared with the progress that being made by al hilal. A bit surprised that as a new team that got promoted into the SPL, al ahli has been trying to buy so many players. The fact that if this is also proving al ahli is seriously trying to become a serious contender in SPL. it will be competing with another strongest club like nassr, ittihad even al hilal.
There's no choice for al ahli other than making its squad become even stronger than before.

It looks like Riyad Mahrez's decision will be made in the near future and besides in manchester city he has already won everything and I don't think it would be wrong for him to make more money in the saudi league this time. Bernardo Silva has also been frequently linked with the Saudi league team and if this all happens I think Al-Ahli will be prepared to compete with Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal and also Al-Ittihad.
Still waiting for final decision from manchester city. Mahrez agreed with al ahli's offer but the finalization of the deal must be on the manchester city's hand. The fact that if city is now trying to make sure if the club can win UCL again next season.
Pep guardiola keen to see mahrez stays a bit longer in the manchester city. I hope city will make final decision asap.

On top of all, Mane is getting older and this deal would be a long one, which means that instead of having 22 million now and then maybe 5-10 after that, he would be making 20 million for many years in a row, that is the key factor here. He knows that he is not as good as he used to be back in Liverpool, so he could take the last deal he could and make a lot of money.

However, I agree that Mane should be offered like 50-60 at least by Saudi league if we are talking about some other players are getting what they are getting, they have showed their hand and they have paid a lot, so if they start paying less now, no player would go there for less amount. He could just find someone paying 10 and stay in Europe if he wants to, why leave now for small amount.
