I think basically if left to our own devices humans will destroy the environment completely including ourselves. However I do feel some optimism, because I think the exponential rates of change within certain technologies could be what saves us from completely making our own home uninhabitable. However it wouldn't surprise me to see many species die off and extreme changes and events. At this point that seems pretty much inevitable.

I do not know if the energy (power) that Bitcoin consumes is saving the world.
If nobody is going to do something real in saving Earth then Mother nature will solve the problem the same way like dinosaurs, so it is in our interest to do something about it.
This is how nature works, something human being can't solve the needed and we need something help outside capability.I will not comparing it with dinosaurs age, but in future hopes we can see how nature will solve global warming by itself.

Of course, we can recover the condition of the earth. All we need to do is make the streets clean plant more and more trees and improve our own habits. We are the main reason for almost everything happening on earth today. Vehicles, factories, electricity everything is destroying the nature yet we are destroying the earth why don't everyone just plant 100 trees when is surely going to improve the earth a lot.

I have heard a word that "human beings do not need to save the earth, where the earth needs human beings to save, mankind is to save themselves". I usually think it should be save, not to rely on God or anyone. There wouldn't be anyone to be saving it aside from us, and besides we would also be the ones to benefit it. We are also the reason about its current state and pollution in different aspects, and to think that God already give so much blessings we could found in our planet.
In my opinion our planet is in great danger now and we should try to stop global warming because people have shaped the earth in a pattern since we've evolved.

The enormity of global warming can be daunting and dispiriting. What can one person, or even one nation, do on their own to slow and reverse climate change? The first challenge is eliminating the burning of coal, oil and, eventually, natural gas.

The reverse is happening right now. The most intelligent people (Japanese, Koreans, Europeans) are having too few children and the low IQ people (especially those in the middle-east and the sub-Saharan Africa) are procreating at an alarming pace.
It has to be individuals - in their private capacity but also in their various other functions. but saving the planet? the planet will survive, whether we do or not is another matter.

We should save our planet. We all live here in our planet so in order for us to survive those global warming ang pollutions we must conserve and save everything that we have in nature. Love what God has given and provided for us to sustain our life.
Climate change is seems cannot be stopped. Because of the demand of people in this planet seems larger and larger. Just like mining, they keep digging and digging until theres no gold to be mine. As technology keeps rising, demand of resources is increasing. People in this planet must be educate how to protect our planet.
