Many years talk about global warming, pollution. What do you think about it? Can it be reversed?

2016 is most warm year since measurement

more hot = more energy = more cyclones and energized atmospherical events

but BAU (business as usual) go on..

Really?  More cyclones?  You got some facts to prove that, buddy?

Earth need to take care of today. I live in Ukraine. We have always been 3 months cold and snowy winter. The last 10 years do not exist, if there is snow on New Year's good. Now (this summer) a lot of rivers and lakes, the water is very small *water level*. Climate change on the planet reality.

By definition, climate is weather averaged over 30 year periods.

Ten years is not a measure of climate.

I voted individuals must solve it. Ha at those who think that government, which attracts self focused power hungry individuals just by it's nature, must solve it.

Save the planet, by all means. Even God tells us in the Revelation, that Jesus will come to destroy those who destroy the earth.

I dont know if global warming is just to wash our heads to decrease human population which America wants to control the world. In whole Europe America was built HAARP system and now they are building in Norway biggest very big HAARP system to make earthquakes and other  crazy bad wheathers. In my country every year plants grow more slowly I think that isnt because of global warming it is 100% because of American HAARP system.

Plants are growing slower here too. I attribute that to the spraying program that's in place to stave off global warming. It's changing our soil and making it harder for plants to uptake nutrients.

That's all the circle of life, what lives must die eventually. We can slow down the process but eventually the earth will die.

Yet, because we can't understand how life could have happened in the first place, perhaps we will live again. There is no reason to think that we won't. And God and the Bible tell us that we will.

God will give a new world to those who believe in Jesus. This one will be soon destroyed.

And people wonder why we say religion is dangerous....

 Grin

If you ask me, I would say that individuals must solve it. After all, they were responsible for causing these problems.

who must solve is the government who permits and supervises the activity of the companies

must balance: making money vs pollution. I nor anyone want to run out of money, much less want to be without energy, without fuel on my cars, without gold watches, are things that are part of our lives... have to balance: making money vs pollution.

I don't believe in all that global warming stuff, but I think, that if it somehow happens government would be the last think which you'd want to rely on)

I am your government.

Give me your money so I can make the seas roll back.

See anything wrong with that?

Yes, definitely.  It is everyone's responsibility to save the planet.  We are the one who continually destroying it.  It is evidenced that nowadays, storm, typhoons, and even earthquakes are much bigger and greater than before.  Maybe because of the continuous effect of the global warming.  We have destroyed our planet just for some comforts in life.

I like hydro energy. They run buses with it now and creates H2O that all human need.
The new tesla car is electric right? So zero emissions, with everyday humans are creating more and more renewable resources so no need to worry about saving it. The planet will repair itself.
What about the power stations that runs electric cars will they not be burning more fuel to produce electricity for the cars?..Still not really solved the problem..But your right we will solve the problem if the big oil companies allow it...

Nuke power BUT if something happens to the power plant we are all up shit creek..
Well we are in the UK with it being a small Island not much space to move some where else..

Those fossil fuels used to produce those cars will add to the pollution but the earth will heal itself from that damage the thing is if the contributing factors keep running everyday that will build up on the overall damage to the earth and it will not have the capacity to keep up with this repairing of the ozone layer.
Yeah about nuke power. We don't want another Japan island happen again.
Why do we blame someone, but do not blame yourself ?! Why do we blame for all the problems only by the government ?! Think if everyone starts to spend less energy, electricity, respectively, electricity will be less to produce. Accordingly, it will require less power to operate and some power plants can be shut down as a whole. There is no need to throw the blame on someone, start with ourselves, to protect nature. It depends on all of us and each of us.

Right! Anybody can put the government down by getting together with friends and starting a new government. So, it's all your fault, not government's.

Towards saving ourselves...

Solar cell sucks up CO2 and spits burnable fuel out the other side

Researchers have now edged closer toward this dream technology, developing what they describe as a game-changing solar cell that produces hydrocarbon fuels in the lab, with potential applications ranging from large-scale uses on Earth to providing power on Mars.

The prospect of using sunlight to power our energy-intensive lifestyles has enough merit on its own, but what if we could suck carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere while we're at it? This two-pronged environmental panacea has inspired scientists eyeing a greener future, with artificial leaves, hybrid energy systems and moth-inspired photoelectrochemical cells just a few examples of how we are progressing toward this goal.

Scientists at Chicago's University of Illinois have been working with new kinds of chemicals with new kinds of properties to take these efforts to the next level. The key, they say, is to discover a new type of catalyst that can turn atmospheric CO2 into burnable fuels in an efficient and inexpensive way.

Cool
Solar panels on your roof then you could use the gas to heat your water and radiators..
Very impressed if they can produce enough gas..

Here is a video explaining it better.. The Artificial Leaf - Renewable Energy - Horizons - YouTube

Your best post ever BADECKER Grin Grin Thanks..

We the UK are building a nuke power station wont be up and running till 2030 and we will have to pay double our fuel bill costs when up and running..
Now imagine The Artificial Leaf - Renewable Energy comes out in 2027 what a waste 18 billion pounds will be Grin Grin..

Yes i know they are taking co2 out of the air but the method is the same as water..
