1. Batch 1 hasn't shipped.

2. Batch 2 hasn't shipped.

3. No shipping date provided.

5. Black Arrow claims that the X-1 units have been produced and that they're just waiting on the cases to be delivered. No proof of the units exists and requests from customers to have their units shipped without a case go unanswered.

6. FRAUD

Edit:

An image of a caseless X-1 has just appeared on the ecointalk forum. Great, now fucking ship them to the customers who requested them.

You're three fucking months late and the difficulty is 10.4 billion in 2 hours, your hardware is fucking worthless garbage now at the price we paid.

Update: 22nd of May 2014

1. Batch 1 hasn't shipped.

2. Batch 2 hasn't shipped.

3. No shipping date provided however, they stated:

"Please note that we are not in the position to estimate a completion time. It is possible that the fix could be solved as early as tomorrow or as late as next week."

4. Refunds refused.

5. Black Arrow has offered to ship 50 Minions or 20 PCIE hash boards in lieu of an X-3.

While this is better than the "go jump in a lake" offer we had yesterday it still falls short.

5. Minion customer complains that Black Arrow isn't providing a pinout for the chip.

"We are at a work stoppage with regards to our PCB design until we can get the completed pin out and pin description." -- mchap300

Looks like minion customers won't be getting any miners to market or doing any hashing before Black Arrow does.

I think what would be a bonus for dealing with such companies would be an escrow, maybe linked to a delivery company, so only when the item has been dispatched to the correct address that the bitcoins are released to the company. I am sure a automated service like this could be made, of course you would need to have the delivery company somehow flag the escrow for release.

My money was used to pay VeriSilicon and GlobalFoundries. I'm not just a customer, I financed this ASIC for Black Arrow.

So no, the escrow model doesn't work. The pre-order model is a organized criminal scam.

Black Arrow is a scam company that's currently defrauding it's customers for millions of dollars and thousands of BTC.
Proof?

Just look at their website, they're selling batch 2 X-3 units with a stated shipping date of 15 May 2014. It's currently the 17th and not a single batch 1 order has shipped.

They sold pre-orders for 24 Feb 2014 dispatch until 29 Jan 2014. It takes 2+ months after tape-out to have the ASICs forged and packaged. Undeniable proof that they lied to get customers money.

This is fraud over $5000, an indictable offence.

First, it does not say it ships on 15 May 2014. It says it ships around 15 May 2014, which isn't an exact date.
Second, there are delays for all companies. Would you call all of them scam? No. Only Butterfly Labs and Hashfast, since they don't even have the equipment in production.

Today is the 18th of May 2014 and it's passed "around" 15 May 2014. Batch 1 hasn't shipped and Batch 2 isn't even on the radar.

When you take peoples money based on a lie it's called fraud!

EDIT:

Seems I've jumped the gun a bit here...

I checked the web history for Black Arrow's site and it looks like they sold batch 1 orders for 24 Feb 2014 shipping until 01 Jan 2014. This however still does not leave enough time for tapeout, forging and packaging of the ASICs not mention actually building and debugging the miners within the less than 2 month timeframe between 01 Jan and 24 Feb.

24 February 2014 shipping was a lie and it cost Black Arrow customers millions of dollars.

Are you basing this statement purely because they are delaying shipping?
That's very stupid, a lot of companies had to delay for genuine reasons, and they are legit.
