Yes, scammers can affect the price of Ethereum. And they can influence through the negative news they make to spread widely. And the worst is that there are many fake ICO projects that use the Ethereum platform. So that investor confidence in Ethereum decreases.
maybe because it's easy to make tokens from the ethereum network that makes everyone able to make their own tokens. of course they can make ico and make a retirement plan that can benefit them. but that would be very detrimental to ethereum where trust in the platform could decline if it continued like this.
Only few investors will loss, and those are only newbies.
Anyone can make a tokens from ETH platform but proving the team's legitimacy is a crucial thing, if investors are educated, they won't fall for this type of scams.

It depends on how much ETH is in herpower, because to move the ETH market you need a lot of money, and you have to remember that there are many projects that defend the value of ETH because they have their investments there. They can move it but it is not so relevant, unless the scam that you have planned is very millionaire, since it would immediately shortear the chart..
actually eth is not too affected by eth, this is just speculation. which can give effect to eth is just bitcoin, if the scammer I think doesn't have a big effect on eth.

it's still 50-50. because if the erc-20 token is not yet listed on the exchanger, there has been no conversion to Ether. then I think it has not affected the etherum value.
We have decentralized exchanges and they can always dump that.
The only effect on the ETH price is the lack of money coming in, unlike before where ICO is very popular, people are buying ETH to buy the tokens
in the ICO in order for them to invest, now most ICO are scams so no fresh money that are coming in.

Temporarily it will affect the price of ETH, that's why it has dump 10x, but soon it will rise back again.

In order for the scammer to really affect the price of ethereum on the coin market cap, I think some factors have to be considered; factors like; what kind of scams, the amount that was scammed, and what the scammer does with the tokens.

If it is an exchange scam of a major exchange like binance or kucoin then it can greatly affect the ethereum price but if it is a scam like ico of just a few thousands of dollars or a few millions it will really not have any effect on the coin market price

yes I agree that scamer worsens ETH prices. most ICOs use eth platforms and many ico fail to cause investors to throw tokens and release ethereum.

ETH prices cannot be affected by scammers. I think they are just sand grains on a sandy beach. They hold a small amount of eth compared to the amount of ETH being circulated on the market. Prices will not change much when they sell all
It depends on the amount of money that scammers are able to steal, obviously a scammer holding a couple of ETH will do nothing to the market but if they are able to steal the funds of an important ico as it has happened in the past then we could see the price of ethereum suffering as they sell those coins in exchanges or try to sell them through other means, however as long as you do not panic as one of those crashes is happening you have nothing to worry about even in the event scammers get access to so many coins.

It is not that easy. I think developers have to reach their softcap before fund is released by Ethereum smart contract.
The non-smartcontract platforms or addresses are probably the ones doing stuff like this.
By the way, The dip is a general problem, it has nothing to do with

Now any large sales can greatly affect the market. By this, I think that who makes these sales does not really matter. Now there are very few active buyers.

If these scammers are stealing a lot of ethereum and then it can give a little impact to the market too. remember they will create a flash dump and this can give a panic selling for short term to the market. But that's a little impact to the market.

Yes its true that scammers can affect Ethereum price because ETH smart contract is what scammers use the most ,too many scam projects running off Ethereum erc20  which is very dangerous for Ethereum to me ,it can really make ETH lose value

I fully support the opinion of people who are talking about direct participation in the influence of prices in the cryptocurrency sector. I am sure that this is indeed the case. Probably now there are real projects that do so.

Yes, I agree, because if the scammer succeeds in tricking the investors through the fake project they made. then they will get ETH in large quantities, then they sell their coins at cheap prices to sell quickly. If Scammers succeed in making hundreds of fake projects, and succeed in cheating in large numbers, this will certainly harm those who hold ETH and expect high value.

Correctly noticed, added a large number of questionable projects that behave dishonestly towards investors in order to obtain easy money. Big money always attracts those who want to profit in a quick way.

They used the platform as a quick easy access to dumped what they've got from those scam projects, the value of ETH got affected as the sums
of those collected funds is huge, we need to consider how much people loses when a scam project runs away with their investment and see the
effect with ETH market.

I see the same point before, ETH platform when used correctly will lift the value bt if not surely it will go to other side.

Hello, You know guys most of reason why ETH falls down because of a lot of scammers used the smart contract and make a bright idea about for the future but its only fake. They always convince the investor using their good marketing strategy and once the investors are convinced so they invest their money. And once the scammers has a lot of ETH accumulated from the investors the will sell immediately so they can affect the whole market cap of ETH. What do you think?
Not so, big investors have idea how to put up big money in legetimate project. They have the experience to handle with care there assets. If some scammed project passed and get awaty moneys investors for not that big money and wont affect ethereum in the other hand.
