Scammers are back with their old method but with another new trick. Currently, they are streaming video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoQX4hElcSU&feature=emb_rel_pause, with the video title 100000 ETH giveaway. Be alert guys.   They made the channel name Foxnews which is fake of course and they are streaming an @ethglobal video.

I am appalled by the audacity of these scammers as they do anything just to take advantage of potential investors and ultimately succeeding on their scams.

As someone who constantly checks the projects posted under the ANN boards for plagiarized whitepapers, ponzi schemes, and fake team members, I can definitely say that there are several projects that are couched in a way that look genuine facially. Scammers nowadays are evolving and they are exhausting all the means in order to abuse and trick these investors.

I just want to remind everyone to please double-check before you invest your resources in the project. In addition, please check the project if there are any open scam accusation against it or check their profiles if there are any flags imposed upon them. Let's help each other and make this forum a better place so we can invest safely and surely among some promising projects.

BTCBTC I tried checking the link but it says that the video was already removed since it violates the community guidelines of Youtube. I also can't find the fake channel, I guess it already got removed by YouTube. If that's the case, I think youtube is now stepping up and taking actions with this kind of scamming tricks due to some related issues.

Imagine the number of people who watched that live stream, they could have scammed a lot of people. But it's good that YT already took it down. It just shows how many people can get fooled by scammers making fake accounts and fake giveaways in popular platforms.

Scammers would really do anything that they can to enact their agendas. Today, scammers are more intelligent and has their own strategies to fully stage a scam, from using big names and fabricating evidences just to deceive people and make them believe of what they are presenting are purely legit.
Nobody will dispute that facts. Though, if they choose to come back with good and curling tactical method of getting funds from the gullibles we should be more alerted when they get start. Series of these online streaming videos are cut types and those with greediness can only find theirselves into this mess. Sometimes we are responsible for things that happened to us, why do you want free things from unknown individuals or groups? They can't be realistic.

Nice catch OP.
If you ask me I would say that's a new method using a old trick. they are using streaming services to get some more attraction to the service they provide which is new but still they are promising some kind of giveaway(100000 ETH is this case) in order to start tempting the newbies who are looking for some free money inside the internet which is pretty old method. I would say nothing is free on the internet specially the money unless you are the product. Even streaming on well-known the environments like YouTube won't guarantee anything.

That is an obvious scam, there is no giveaway that will give 100000 ETH, which is a really huge amount of money. Imagine if you are the one who are will do the giveaways, are you willing to give all of that 100000ETH? Of course not, that is so big, it would be your big loss if you will give all of that. Do not fall with this kind of scam, even though the youtube channel has many subscribers, do no still believe it because that is fake giveaways.

yes it's a fake giveaway, don't be fooled by things like this. I also think the same as you, it is impossible if someone wants to give 100 000 ETH, if I have 100 000 ETH I better help my brothers who are in trouble and hold it until the price of ETH goes up even higher.
Currently there are so many scammers in cyberspace, therefore we must be careful, and pay attention to everything we do, if there is something like this we better avoid it so we are not easily fooled.

In the cryptocurrency space, you must always be on the alert. Fraudsters do not sleep and look every day for a loophole in any information space to rob our wallets. I will never react to suggestions if at least I doubt it a lot. Usually I only react to what is checked by trusted people. Well, basic internet security will make your assets out of the reach of fraudsters.

We must always be careful because scammers are scattered everywhere, often what they offer is impossible and very doubtful, I think that would be a good basis for us to distinguish if they are real or not. Let's us be vigilant and more observant.

It's funny that, judging by the transaction history displayed on the site, it seems that funds are sent every couple of minutes, while Etherscan shows that the wallet is empty and there was not a single transaction with it.
Everything looks like they are returning a double amount, but I think those who know how to send funds to the Ether wallet have already learned how to check it in Etherscan .
-
We can get important lessons from this case. First, the fraudsters will make a lot of false evidence to justify that they actually give a reward twice the deposit made, even though it is fake. And as you explained, people who truly understand this situation will not be easily fooled and will certainly analyze it directly through etherscan, even if there is a transaction, it is better to check the wallet address, so they can make transactions back and forth to their wallets alone.
Second, do not be easily influenced by bait or large rewards, especially with the condition that you have to send some funds, it is really ridiculous.

These scammers are stupid enough to create a real appearance of what they are suggesting.
Their whole plan collapses after checking their wallet in an explorer.

But imagine that the scammers are so rich that they imitate the distribution of coins, and Etherscan shows that the coins are sent back in double size, but at the same time all borrowed wallets belong to the scammers.
This is difficult to verify, and one wants to believe in legitimacy right away.

These scams pose a real threat.

I wanted to see the video but it has been removed.. I wish I got here early to see the video.
And also scammers are everywhere now. Even on LinkedIn.
I dont think thats surprising right now because cryptocurrency are such a valuable asset. The police may be very easy to spot scammer in the real world, but they will have a hard time finding scammer in the crypto world and I think this is also a factor why fraud attempt continue to increase in the crypto world.

I dont think scammer are only targeting beginner, but anyone would be a potential target. Therefore, in my opinion, we all have to be careful and do not easily believe the lure.

We find very many fake giveaways on YouTube platforms, so that's Educate ourselves to avoid becoming a victim of fraud.
Usually newbies are the most victims of fake giveaway, because most newbies want instant profit. So don't be careful when
finding giveaways, don't check first whether the giveaways are real or fake.

Yes newbies need to learn and be careful with this scammers. They present profit to the face but it is not usually the case. The times have come to protect ourselves from the scammers as they only focus is to show you the road but no exit shown.

Using the name of a news company? super shady, I wonder how many people are still falling for that beginner level scam?

I've seen this kind of scam already in a lot of social media platforms so I hope people won't get baited on this.

Everyone is just trying to make something even if it’s illegal. I do not just understand why people refuse to work hard and rather depend on unacceptable ways of making money. Let’s all be vigilant and we will won’t fall for these tricksters.
It's because scamming people is easier than having a real job. Also, you don't need to invest a lot, you just need the internet and make a video, that's all and ready to scam people.

This also happens in my country, where someone's YouTube account in my country who has 3 million subscribers was hacked and was livestreaming the token sale on the project. Yes, take someone's video project then stream it with a different token sale address. more and more platforms are being used as scams.
