Even an expert in crypto could still fall for such scamming tricks especially if they go as far as mimicking reputable company and streaming videos.

Only greedy expert will actually fall for this. First and foremost, you need to know and understand that whenever a company or project is going  giveaways, they will never ask people to send them any amount of crypto coin to be double or triple for them.  Its either you retweet or repost their post. Some will just ask people to just fill out a form with their details and a particular crypto address to receive the giveaway.
Come to think of it, no expert in the crypto space will fall for this. i don't think so..

Only greedy people will be victims of this scam.  What people need to understand is that, there is nothing free in this crypto ecosystem we find ourselves. It's either you work for it or buy them with your own money.  If you are a greedy person, there are people in this crypto space looking for you just to take the little you have.

So far as there are greedy people in this space, scammers will always find a way just to steal people who do not appreciate the small amount they have.
Or simply those people are the one who always assume that there is still free money in this world. Most people don't realize it yet that if someone promotes free money, it is suspicious enough that we should avoid easily. Especially if we are talking a lot of money, it is impossible to be made as a giveaway to just random people.

Nowadays many scammers make video scams on the YouTube platform, by creating channels that use popular names such as
FoxNews. Indeed managed to get a lot of victims, actually it is very easy to avoid such scams. All you need to do is ignoring
giveaway or investment offer with big or unreasonable rewards. Because most of us are easily tempted by that kind of thing.
I know you were right but you can't neglect greedy people to look into that scamming opportunity and just brought them complaining in the end. That is somewhat ridiculous but we can't deny such reality.  In a certain thing that you can't buy those people because they never saw such scamming activities instead, they keep pushing themselves for in their mind is to gain and gain.

If there's a money there are scammers so its not surprising them to create another method to scam people since for them this is a business and the one thing we should do is to avoid, never ever get appealed on something especially if we don't know and understand on how they earned their profits to distribute to their investors. Scammers are greedy since its their nature and we should be aware on this scheme.

Scammers are back with their old method but with another new trick. Currently, they are streaming video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoQX4hElcSU&feature=emb_rel_pause, with the video title 100000 ETH giveaway. Be alert guys.   They made the channel name Foxnews which is fake of course and they are streaming an @ethglobal video.

Scammers like them are innovating themselves in a whole new level. They brainstorm a lot with new ideas or with a twist and using their marketing skills to take advantage of non-crypto guys and gals out there who are desperate for money.

It’s just sad that most of the beginners and newbies fell for this trap without even taking time to verify if the Youtube channel is officially from “Fox News” or so.

Even an expert in crypto could still fall for such scamming tricks especially if they go as far as mimicking reputable company and streaming videos. They are really growing everyday in this scamming business. We need to be really careful and accept that nobody can double your crypto wallet unless you work for it or buy it. Newbies could easily fall for this, those who just want their pockets full without doing much. If it's too good to be true then it's probably is. Thanks for reporting it here.

The youtube video is no longer available, it is either removed by them or youtube removed it because of multiple reports regarding this illegal activity. Many people might have fallen from this scam method since they are using a news channel name to gather a lot of viewers and make them look like legitimate. Also, seeing this youtube channel, they already made thousands of subscribers, it only means that they already reached so many people that might believed on this trick.

The video link that you shared is deleted. but after reading your post and comments I understand what you mean. Yes, few days ago same thing happened. One of the well-known YouTubers youtube channel was hacked and they streamed video about ETH & BTC giveaways. Channel name is carryislive and subscribes around 7 million. I don't know how much they scammed but it's new tricks to scam people's money. Need to be careful and don't be greedy to avoid scam.

This kind of trick should be exposed and a great job for OP so that there wouldn't be more victim of this scam trick that they are now using.
People who are new would surely fall easily to this kinds of schemes that is why we need to do our best to save them and to make sure that this scammers wouldn't get anything.

This trick was already exposed and you can read them in some threads here about Bitcoin scams and any form of scams.

This scam is not new to us as this fake giveaways are the best and easiest way for them to lure their victims, between beginners and newbies. Hopefully, these scams will be reported immediately as much as possible so that no more people will become victimized by their strategy and minimize those people who will fall for their bait.

Those "giveaways" that they are putting in their title is an obvious warning for you not to trust them.

Those that keep falling for this obvious scam are not ready to grow up. It is said that a fool and his money are soon parted. There's is nothing like crypto give away, who dose that? Even Satoshi Nakamoto didn't.

The video was taken down and I am glad.
The news channel has 5k subscribers which kinda makes me think already that this is just plainly a fake channel.
Usually news channels reach up to millions.
This channel tried so hard to fool people, ey? Cheesy

Consider also checking the creation date of the channel in "About" section of the said channel.
Surely no news channel would be created that recently anymore unless the previous got taken down.  Huh

This is a new yet old trick but if someone sees this as their first time seeing the offers, they might fall to the scammer's bait. They are taking advantage about the current situation of BTC price in the market because when something like this is going on, there are more people search about BTC and any other things related to cryptocurrencies. The good thing is, we have some people like the OP who are fast to warn people about this kind of thing to prevent further damage by the scammers.
Many will create more tricks especially these time of Covid, we should be alert as they wil keep doing it in different method and ways to scam many users, they may create more account or websites to keep them doing it. Many giveaways event were used before but still many people wanted to be victimized even not having Pandemic many were victims hoping they can really get something from those giveaway, thanks OP for reminding again of this method used by scammers.
A lot of people are struggling right now because of the pandemic that's why the scammers found this situation as an opportunity for them to take advantage to people most especially to those who are easily to persuade because we all know that a lot of businesses and companies has been closed now due to lack of income and customers and also a lot of job hunters are now looking for jobs or anything that can do to have an income for fulfilling their needs.

They will victimized those that are newbie in crypto because that is really too-good-to-be-true offer. If you are a crypto user and someone asks your input about this, just tell him directly that there's no such thing in crypto as get rich quick scheme. Help someone you know that may be screwed by these scammers. And if you are a YT user that encountered videos like this, you can always report that video so YT will take it down.

The problem with things like this is, people know that some Alt coins will make it rain when they launch new coins and people might think that these types of giveaways are something like that. We know Ethereum has been around for a long time, but people new to Crypto currencies might not know that, so they will fall for scams like this.  Roll Eyes

The best thing to do with giveaways like this is to "Google" it and to see if it is a scam, because people who has fallen victim to things like this would turn to the internet to warn people about the scam. (This thread might come up in a Google search)  Wink

It has been exposed actually, if you go to Beginners and Help. There were people who have posted this even before, this is not a new trick yet it's continuing and YouTube seems don't care with these scammers running a "live" show to their platform.
Obviously, those videos are copied by these scammers and effortlessly they are getting victims by just running those pre-recorded videos of blockchain meetups coming from known crypto people.

Thanks for the warning. There are a lot of scammers these days and it's easy to fall into their traps, especially for beginners Smiley Nevertheless, I have to agree that they did some work to build people's trust.

A hardcore veteran won't fall for these cheap tricks.
Newbies who have less knowledge in cryptos often seen in trouble in these type of situations.
So it's better to step back and observe for few time.
It will surely help the newbies to get away from the scams, and the scammers will surely get tired and stop all these.
Always be careful.
