Bitcoin is GOD
Scammers are back with their old method but with another new trick. Currently, they are streaming video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoQX4hElcSU&feature=emb_rel_pause, with the video title 100000 ETH giveaway. Be alert guys.   They made the channel name Foxnews which is fake of course and they are streaming an @ethglobal video.
Those scammers always surprise me if they put that amount of effort and energy they do to try to scam people into another activity they will obtain a lot more money in a honest way than what they do with these scams.

I really hope no one lost their money with this scam but YouTube is full of them and yet despite all the efforts they claim to put in trying to stop this this keeps happening, this is one of the many reasons why I do not use YouTube for anything other than to watch some funny videos and the like as trying to obtain any kind of serious and relevant information out of it has become impossible.

Well, the people who would still get scammed by this are really dumb or stupid. Lease do excuse me for saying such things but it is just what I think about people who get scammed by such ways that can easily be recognized by most of the people in this industry. I mean, you must really be so gullible to be fooled by these type of hacking schemes. Things that are too good to be true must really be too good to be true. Do your own damn research before you jump into this industry or learn the hard way. This is clearly a rookie mistake. I just hope that newbies in this industry would at least do enough research about how things work here before even get ng to invest to avoid lots of people getting scammed.

It might already be reported because I can't view the given Youtube link now.

This was a very obvious scam when we talking about doubling your fund upon sending or any giveaways that need us to send first before we will get profit are most commonly scam. These tricks was the same on the Twitter hack and I don't think people didn't learn from those biggest hacks happened on social media.

The real account of the FOXNews Youtube account has 5.7M subscribers.

For companies that own large verified channels, they usually have employees monitoring Youtube for what they call unauthorized channels using their brand name and logo, and these are reported to Youtube quickly, and like other platforms with a reporting system, I'd expect report processing is done much faster if the ticket filer is a company or enterprise. That explains why it was taken down so quickly.

Whoever fall for this scams will fall for anything because there is nothing like crypto giveaway that will tell you to send part of your coin in order to get double. This is completely dump. Despite of media report of this scam giveaway, people are still falling for it daily https://twitter.com/whale_alert/status/1287409105704038401?s=20

Who agree with me that they are a big hacker community and doing all social fake giveaways.
And I believe that They had done Twitter API compromised and tweeted fake giveaway tweets.
And I think it will continue forever because Crypto transections can't be tracked.Thats why Crypto is the most popular place for the scammers.

Old trick but works for those who just think they double their tokens. There are just greedy newbies who believes these scammers. Garlinghouse should understand how youtube works. Garlinghouse had scammed more than what these scammers did.

I tried checking the link but it says that the video was already removed since it violates the community guidelines of Youtube. I also can't find the fake channel, I guess it already got removed by YouTube. If that's the case, I think youtube is now stepping up and taking actions with this kind of scamming tricks due to some related issues.

Imagine the number of people who watched that live stream, they could have scammed a lot of people. But it's good that YT already took it down. It just shows how many people can get fooled by scammers making fake accounts and fake giveaways in popular platforms.

The youtube video was already removed and its a swift action made by the youtube admins of deleting it as a violations of community standards so that no one will be a victim on that scam scheme. Scammers will always find ways to fool people as always and we can always fight these scammers by spreading awareness to the community to be vigilant always on bogus giveaways and doubling sites just like what happened on famous personalities twitter hacked incident.

I hope youtube should act upon this kind of streaming much more quickly than normal. These videos should be brought down immediately as there might be people who are too gullible to be convinced with whatever lies they say. The gall of these scammers to live stream using the names of ETH and Foxnews and using youtube as platform.

People should be reminded to consider the word giveaway as a very strong red flag.

Good share but i think it is stupid to believe that  100,000 Ethereum?only people that has knowledge about crypto will look at it because Ethereum  is now familiar to all people ,and also why wood a cryptonians buy their Trap when it is a obvious scam, since Too good to be true are  scam in all ways.
Using Fox channel  is  something desperate will only use.

That is an obvious scam, there is no giveaway that will give 100000 ETH, which is a really huge amount of money. Imagine if you are the one who are will do the giveaways, are you willing to give all of that 100000ETH? Of course not, that is so big, it would be your big loss if you will give all of that. Do not fall with this kind of scam, even though the youtube channel has many subscribers, do no still believe it because that is fake giveaways.

I'd probably move it to the beginners board. Scam accusations I think is generally used for internal affairs relating directly to the forum.
Maybe you are right. Yes, I had doubt when I said scam accusation, it was not adding up in my mind :-P

Ripple's ceo has already filed a class action lawsuit against youtube for supposedly doing the same thing with Garlinghouse in those same ads even though nobody has seen his ad yet. Undecided
https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/youtube-files-to-dismiss-ripple-and-ceo-brad-garlinghouses-xrp-giveaway-scam-lawsuit
So youtube has countered them July 20th saying there is no evidence in tarnishing Mr. Garlinghouse's reputation.

That's pretty cleaver. They are using the name of the News Agency and recorded video with live-streaming to create a trustworthy feeling. It's like you are watching live and a newbie or even a semi-experience crypto user will fall for this.

Fox news trustworthy? Cheesy
Those scammers are dumber than I thought. Wink
I've been seeing Vitalik most of the time when these ads come up in the middle of a youtube video with him going
"Hello everyone!" in the gayest voice possible.
So I can see why people are falling for this kind of scam because they look at him and say "This guy will give me double my ethereum if I send him some of his own coin back"
Pure ponzi scheme. Grin

Thanks for the warning. They aren't just streaming with that scam but they are also using YouTube's ad to scam victims. Steve Wozniak has reported them but YouTube hasn't taken any action.

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory

I think this topic needs to move to the scam accusation board and also the video needs to be reported. I will report in very soon.

But yeah this scam trend is months old, still worth reporting though.
