Unfortunately, this is what the industry has become as a result of no genuine presence of regulations. Scams have taken over ranging from the floating/introduction of fake projects with dubious intentions down to porosity of project security leading to unscrupulous elements defrauding and hacking people's wealth and assets. This menace will keep going unabated until somehow there are introductions and guidelines to professional and acceptable practices in the industry.
I think there have been few that got arrested as well but it all depends on the country and the laws.
For example, if I am not wrong there was this cloud mining operation something like zenhash or something, I am not entirely sure about the name but they scammed their customers via cloud mining operation far exceeding what they had and built like a ponzi scheme on that and when they couldn't pay people and suddenly crashed all prices they were sued and authorities were given the information and they got literal jail sentence for it and in jail because of it.
Now that is not common but mt.gox was sued as well and I guess karpeles has some jail time too (not sure about this) but definitely got sued and went to court, so there are examples of trouble for scammers but that is not stopping them at all in third world countries for example.

Yes. The world always has many frauds and frauds. And in this market too, scammers always exist around us, so you have to know how to distinguish those people from good people so you can invest your money smartly. Even so, when the market goes through more years, Scammer will not survive, because most people know how to fight them. I hope that this market will soon sweep out Scammer guys soon to come up quickly
That is why we need to research more about the project or groups so we can prevent from getting scam. The scammers will always try to steal people's money in many ways, and it is our job to be careful to decide. As long as we can be careful, I am sure that the scammers cannot get our money and they will hide for a while until they find a new way to scam people again.

ROFL... do you really think that the SEC will be worried about bounty hunters not getting their rewards? That's not the case. Unless some Wall street whale losses at least a few million USD in one of those scam ICOs, the SEC is not going to do anything. And regarding the sig campaigns, they can always say that no monetary losses resulted from the scam.
tell me one thing why these Scams are still going on? well, its because these are profitable to them. imagine running a signature camp and not actually paying anything. you will get users info, their documents(because of KYC) and their other useful recourses and time. people are actually working for free advertisement. if you hate this then get some skills and try a hard way like job4btc.

We have long time needed to stop supporting all projects, let it be only those where the CEO is an officially registered person, so that he can be punished.

Such friends don't need to be dissuaded forever, if they keep running away, then they are losing totally because the greatest risk is not to take a risk at all.
They can do research on the project they want to invest on.
Well indeed we need that scam somehow to be stopped on crypto world, and i think a step is for people who join and want to invest to do research and never invest on something where they can't do research or don't know if is ok to invest. And if will be possible i wish that scammers get arrested.

Investors just need to stop investing in questionable projects. There is a golden rule: not sure about the project, do not invest. And if you invest in ICO, do not invest more than you are willing to lose. Follow these rules and you will always be on top.

We cannot stop a scammer, the only thing we can do is warned newbies so that he doesn't make a mistake in investing.and if your friend waits until the scammers disappear then don't invite him into the crypto world.

Same me scared of scammers. I have joined many sites of cryptocurrency even don't know which is real one,Also i cannot suggest to my friend who are asking me for real site to invest i always get confused Anyone know how to get rid of scammers?

well, I would say that they aren't running free,they have not just been caught yet in my own opinions. But yet some of them have been caught and prosecuted also more reasons why regulations are needed

This is why some want to government need to be involved here so police can take actions whenever there are scammers. Some projects are being ended up to being scam once they are not able to reach their target some are just planning to skip regardless if they reach the target or not.
According to the articles that I've read online a few months back and according to my experience, ICO is a very dangerous kind of investment since you're not either sure if after the ICO the project will be successful or not, many will use the project/coin or not, etc. also there are some professional scammers who are making a promising project and have a professional whitepaper as well as fake team but in the end it will end up a scam.
If the project is successful and listed on exchange, I've experienced a 95% loss from my original investment... So I may say that if you're going to invest just invest into trading and to a coins that has a large volume such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, EOS, etc.

Yes this is the only one reason for that many countries Government try to avoid crypto. If the cause will be solved in the future then crypto will be more popular in all country. Hope we will see the day soon when we can Identify all ico team easily before invest and Government also can take any step against ICO scammers. we need regulation of ico's, for the developers of the project atleast, so if they try to scam their investors they wouldn't get away with it, and hopefully they would be able to give their money back to the investors, you should tell your friends don't bother investing in ico's because most of them are scam and if not the developers are lazy with their project, it's better to invest in established projects instead.
