You're a little bit of both.
You can say the same thing about CEX.IO.
But why do people still do it? Because not everyone relies on the mining aspect of it. A lot of people buy and sell the hashing power. Most would even say that you don't really make any money on mining, but instead by trading GHS/KHS. Bitcoin difficulty goes up like crazy, but why do people still mine it?

There will always be profit made somewhere, you just have to look and take a chance when you can. A lot of times the investments with higher risks usually yield higher rewards. Now this might not be for you, but it's sure right up other people's alley.

I'll keep spreading and letting people know about the site. If you feel differently and oppose it then so be it. The best thing to do is inform people and let people make their own decisions about it.

That's it for now for me. Sexcoin time. Happy mining and happy trading!

Thank you for the answer, I find it a lot clearer now... indeed it is not for me because what you basically do here is buy KSH in hope of selling them to a more uninformed buyer - or to someone that hopes to find a more uninformed buyer in his turn Smiley

Can anybody here please explain to me how they expect to make a return by investing, when the income calculator on scrypt.cc assumes the median difficulty will remain the same over the following months and still returns aprox 200 days?

If the amount of scrypt miners increases (as it will most likely do) then those 200 days will turn into 400 or even 1000

I would really like to invest in such a thing, but under the current conditions I simply cannot see how It can be profitable.

Am I the only one blind or the only one that can see?

Well, haven't received my activation e-mail even though I was one of the first on here so I don't really have much to say. Tried to resend and still nothing...yes I checked the Spam folder.

Password reset works, Username reset works, Validation/Activation e-mail never sends though.

twistedtrick, Sorry for the inconvenience. I have manually activated your account, you may now login.
Hey, thanks for helping that person out. Much appreciated!

Update: Tomorrow we will be implementing a new feature where the user will be able to choose which coin to mine and be payed out in said coin every 10 minutes.

We wanted to thank everyone for the great startup, We've been online for only 48 hours and by far exceeded our expectations. Keep an eye out, many updates on the way!
Thanks for finally making this site! I'll be sure to spread the word out more! LOL I think I'm doing the most advertising around so far.

What Scrypt-coin they mine over there? any info?
why you must buy KH/S with BTC not THE same coin that being mined ?
What pool this service use?
 Smiley
any one care to add any information ?
The admins said they mine the 3 most profitable coins, this could mean a few different coins; not sure if they mean coins such as DOGE/LEAF, but it could also be GLC, GLD, FST, FRK, etc (that's my guess)

I'm also guessing you buy with BTC because it's "universal".
You get paid in BTC...if you decide to re-buy more KHS, it'd be weird if they paid you in those coins.
They mine the coins, trade them on market, and pay out in BTC.
If you paid in the same coins that they're mining...it's more hassle for them to receive the coins, then trade them, then pay out...does that make sense?

Not sure what pools, that's a good question. I should ask one of the admins when I can.
....snip...

who make the mined coins choice? the service admin's?
as there will be atleast three or more coins to be mined by them at any time i think it wont be one pool, and harder to track their actual hashpower in action.
Why not add LTC to KH/S trade market with BTC ? suggestion  Smiley make sense too, also why not give the user choice to get paid in BTC or the mined coin? if the coin is profitable and have future it will be an investment too.
Overall a good idea and a competition  to the scrypt market
With more user hope that the trade price will be more better.

Not sure who chooses what coins to mine. They probably have a certain algo with an auto switcher. It's good if it's more than 1 pool. It'd be terrible if someone tracks their KHS and DDoS that site...makes the site lose profit and specially the users who has bought KHS.

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to implement LTC to KHS in the future. I'm sure they have more in store if it survives, but as for now, they're still new. They've literally opened just a bit over 24 hours. Just helping spread the word out.

Looks interesting, will do a small article about this service in a few hours Smiley
That'd be nice. I want to know others opinions. I agree it's not perfect, but it's nice that us small miners have an opportunity to buy extra KHS that we might not be able to get with hardware of our own. Plus it's easier to sell off and get BTC back if we choose to.

These virtual KHS in who pool mining and what kind of coin?
Calculator says:

Code:
Total KHS: 1000
Total Investment: 1.44444000 BTC ($1276.88 USD)

Daily Income: 0.00663979 BTC ($5.87 USD)
Monthly Income: 0.20583349 BTC ($181.97 USD)

Break Even In: 218 Days.

Is not BTC mining Smiley
If I buy KHS can I set custom settings to coin and pool?
As of right now they point to coins of their choosing. 3 coins that are most profitable at the moment and pay out in BTC. They are working on being able to let you point your KHS to coins of you choosing.

BItcoin.info: Shouldn't it be common sense by now that coin diff goes up...it's the same for every coin...you're not saying anything new.

I realize that is common sense, but do you realize that if the difficulty increases (and it will), you will never break even?
Not necessarily the whole point. It's like CEX.IO. You buy KHS and let it mine or you can just trade...it's all about playing it smart. You're not necessarily making money just mining sometimes, but people still do it. Diversify your portfolio.

Born: Check SPAM folder. Sometimes validation emails end up there. From what admin has said they mine the 3 profitable coins depending on difficulty. They've also said they're working on letting people point the KHS to mine certain coins of their choosing. That'd be amazing if/when they implement that, just a heads up.

The break even time of aprox 200 days DOES NOT take into account the great increase in difficulty that will soon happen due to the introduction of Srypt ASICS. So in 3-4 months from now you will only be able to get a fraction of the coins you are getting now.

I guess site owner gives the initial sell orders depending on the hardware he owns. Currently there seems to be no sell orders available.
They have to start somewhere. They just opened hours ago.
