I don't think there's much point comparing DRK's anon with ours (altho people of course will and afaik the writing's on the wall), and I'm not about to recite a long list of reasons why I dislike Masternodes and moved away from Darkcoin a long, long time ago.

I will not mention how, to me, Darkcoin masternodes remind me of TOR nodes and are undeniably points of trusted centralisation (and failure) on the DRK network. I will not make mention of how nobody seems to run their MN from home and how convoluted, kludgy and slow the DRK anon system seems.

I mean no offence and I have no desire to start a flame war with DRK fanboys (after all I used to be one). But when I wake up for my morning coffee and check the SDC thread only to see pie-charts of DRK MN distribution…

…then I gotta give my two Rynos.

Good morning gentlemen.

Peter Todd: "With Bitstamp on Amazon AWS, there's a high probability that some Three Letter Agency has a copy of their databases; expect zero privacy."

Aren't most of DRK Masternodes on Amazon AWS?

Yes sir

So that means 16% of masternodes can expect zero privacy?  That is not very reassuring.

First off, it's conjecture anyway. Secondly, do you even know the probabilities of having all 8 masternodes for each round of mixing? Stop being stupid.

Well, who is to say that a certain three-lettered agency doesn't have copies of the other services' databases?

If you're going down this path, we might as well speculate they figured how to crack on-chain mixing.

Still a while to go until the #1 has sold it all.

…snipped…

where r those stats coming from? and isn't no1 addy the bittrex exchange?

New bittrex lets you see the distribution of coins that are on the exchange.

ive looked at 5 other coins using this beta feature and in every case so far 1 or 2 or more wallets have very large supplies of currency. i wont mention names of currencies, partly because i don't even have to…

UPDATE: 15/15 coins have a similar graph. in most cases the graphs are even more skewed.

For bad examples pick any top 5 coins trading atm (by 24hr volume) on Trex. Even coins with little or no volume show this kind of distribution.

Tracking the exchange balances seems like it could be a good way to predict price. Almost all coins intended to be sold are going to be put in the exchange wallets first.

If this kind of trading strategy catches on, it might discourage the trading whales from leaving their coins on the exchanges.  Wink

How long before the review by Isidor Zeuner is completed?

Kicks off when the below reaches 5 btc:

Total Received    3.29988259

So donate. Nearly there after all

Yeah I donated.  But according to trollsroyce, Isidor agreed to do it without a fee:  "So far, Isidor is the only qualified person that has stepped up to the plate without asking for a fee first and on that principal I believe he deserves to be compensated for his work. If and when other reviewers become available we'll start up a contribution/donation list accordingly."(http://shadowtalk.org/topic/321/shadowcash-whitepaper-review-and-code-audit).  Sounds like we were compensating out of goodness of our hearts.

I plan to donate more once the review is completed, if its completed.

I understand what you are getting at.   However I believe a real code review is a massive undertaking.   It would involve Isidor mastering the technical understanding of the coin.  I do not think this is a small feat and I hope that generously producing 5btc for the work will be motivating and produce the review timely.
