I have been here for a few months as well, but most coins have gone backwards in the last 3 months and Shadow is holding ground. I am not a day trader, I am following the tech and with that comes the risk as to who delivers the best tech first. To me Shadow has the best devs, the strongest and most knowledgeable community and the best solution to achieve real anonymity in transactions. So until any of that changes I will be holding strong.

Longandshort: Well maybe its the cynic in me since being dragged into many empty promises in the alt coin scene, but I will wait and watch what shadow can do for crypto.

Someone did point out that unless the protocol of BTC blockchain was changed, there is no such thing as anonymous coins that are forked off the original BTC blockchain.
Hey lemon, do you mind asking again i'm sure your questions were not hidden based solely on you asking them. We have many tough questions that exist here in this thread. Countless times, everyone has been encouraged to also ask at shadowtalk.org and #shadowcash and here.
Deleting them kinda goes against everything we stand for! Hense finding it really hard to believe that your posts were deleted when you raised questions only!. This project really has nothing to hide nor does it have to prove itself to people who are unwilling to be reasonable.

You are partly right tho, the coins in this implementation are similar to bitcoin. They are the same way that, like bitcoin, they show where they have been, and where they were minted ect. It wont be until something like snarks is slotted in that we can just have a serial number and no history. Coins can be destroyed and minted in an extremely lightweight fashion, thus drastically reducing the blockchain size if thats a route Shadow heads for.
What you are talking about tho is anonymous coins. But what Shadow is achieving here, in this case, is anonymous transactions. It is breaking the link completely between sender to receiver.

It's obvious to me, listening to you here and in IRC, that you are only interested in SDC for the quick buck via trading. You bought a bunch with the Darkcoin acquisition rumors/ rejection. You bought more when Darkcoin investors were like "wth is ShadowCash and why does Evan want it so badly? They must be doing something, let's buy!" And then, inevitably with slow & steady development, day traders sell coins because there is 500 other coins to get better odds on while real teams work out bugs. Price drops and you're feeling screwed.
Of course people are selling into big buy walls, it's happened FOR YEARS (crazy crypto is here already)!

I agree but for example a pump that shoots the price up with 80% in a day is a common sight in the crypto-market while in forex u will never see a move even close to that. Stocks is possible but pump and dumps are easily achieved in the crypto market because of the small market cap that a lot of altcoins have.
