For the past 6 monthsish there has been quite a bit of .02/.04 (mBTC) games running including a no-rake one. That's about the lowest that makes sense. For lower fiat value I guess there is pokershibes (dogecoin). Though looking through your post history, I think min w/d is still .02 :/.

Yay my first seals post here.

Pokershibes is for dogecoin guys and not for the ones who believe in bitcoin.

I may write code in exchange for bitcoins.
We've now chatted quite a bit about some draw and stud games but I'm head to hear the opinions of any of the seals engineers/staff.  There seems to be some interest in a few low-stakes tables.  What does the staff say?

The only thing I'd worry about with adding a bunch of games is splitting the player pool up even further.  But, hopefully they'll actually bring in more players....

Let's hope it does not split the player pool too much and that it brings in new players otherwise not good at all.

On another topic, right now they use a third party RNG from Briggs  that has some tools to test it and I believe Briggs has posted the code or part of the code in their site. So it can be verified to some extent.

Does anybody have any idea who is programming this new software and the RNG....would really like to know. Let's hope the changes are for the better and don't screw this up. I hope this Dutch Boyd character is not involved in this.

I'd love to play some five card draw. Maybe not for high stakes but it would be fun to play for leisure. Five card draw, cribbage, and rummy are some of the first games I learned how to play. Also playing five card draw on the slots are really addicting. I'd definitely play some if it were implemented, I don't really remember the skill factor involved in it as it's been forever since I played but either way it will be fun.

Yeah, before 2003 when we talked about "poker" we meant 5 card draw.  Might be kinda fun to splash around a bit again, but don't see playing it seriously.

The only thing I'd worry about with adding a bunch of games is splitting the player pool up even further.  But, hopefully they'll actually bring in more players and all the games will be better off.

Five card draw is almost pure skill and application of game theory (the long-ago Ankeny book is probably more or less optimal play for the game).  That actually makes it not terribly interesting, as bad players will rarely win and tend to go broke fast.  That's also why five card stud is basically dead.  NLHE has a lot of tolerance for people who routinely play dumb starting hands, but someone who continues in 5CS without at least an ace in the hole is going to go broke fast.

2-7 TD is still interesting, though again, it's a tricky game with skill predominating over luck, but not to as great an extent as, say, five card stud, which is virtually dead for that reason.

Alfred Hitchcock's "Crack Of Doom" is about no limit 5 card stud... pretty good episode.

For future reference to all those that complain it takes a few hours to cashout from Seals because they do it manually.  The following is a post about the recent BitStamp debacle:

"Stupid stupid stupid to keep over 10% online. When you're a high profile target it's better to process manually and keep users happy.  Why does every crypto business has to be so retarded?"

Thank you Seals for not being retarded Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin Cool

Couldn't agree more.

Manual withdrawals with less than 12hr wait > empty hot wallet

More draw games in 2015 ? like 2-to-7 TD and Stud 7

It would be GREAT Wink

Texas Hold'em is super fun and super popular these days but I admit that 5 card draw was the first poker I learned as a kid.  I think it would be fun to play a draw game but I wouldn't say it should be a priority.

Haven't been on SWC in a while, about a year or so... looks like I need to download a client now? How are the games/traffic?

Played off the website just fine the other day cash games look about the same as 2 years ago.  Would love to see SWC dominate the space.
Lol I didn't even know this site still existed after all that time Tongue
I hope it didn't change too much, would be a shame really...
Its almost the same right now, with new changes coming in this year. Thats what Micon said. Excited to see the updates that happen this year.

had over 100 peops for the 25 chip hangover or whatever it was which is awesome .

going to be doing it big in 2015!

Yeah, that was pretty cool to have over 100 players for a non-freeroll tournament.

Feels like soon we'll be able to have something around that size and buy in more often - at least once a week.

And the 10btc freeroll... great job being able to handle a tournament with 600+ players.

When I saw it growing that large I wasn't sure whether it would actually work or not.  It was kinda slow for a bit at the beginning but overall it seemed to go pretty well.

Definitely looking forward to 2015.

You can play off the web too, but the client is way easier.
