bitcoin is going to crash to the bottom only 190 more to go gg guys

What u mean gg, it jsut makes the games better because more people can afford to play

Yeah now we have 2/5 cent > 4/5 cent games instead of those high stake 2/3 cent > 4/3 cent games a month ago. Grin

BTC will be just fine.

2/5 cent > 4/5...now they will become a  donkathon like the freerolls because the stakes are so low.

Great job with DoD, Seals did a great job with that promotion!

Agreed, always good to give something back.

CEX.io   stopped mining...
http://www.coindesk.com/cex-io-halts-cloud-mining-service-due-low-bitcoin-price/

so either the difficulty goes down or the price goes up before it will be profitable for them to mine, according to them. Wonder who would follow suit, if any.

I think it would work if they give enough time before hand to promote it and allow people to buy bitcoin and stuff.

The DoD XL tournaments were a success and drew more players than normal.

Even if it's just a one time thing, a large special tournament with a big guarantee and a month to promote it should bring in new players.

Especially with WPN now taking bitcoin deposits... more poker players are just now learning about bitcoin and figuring out how to buy it.  Seals should capitalize on that run a big tournament that gets attention and draws them in.

Yep the promotion was great....the problem is that traffic is back to pre-promotion levels.  I think that WPN now taking bitcoin deposits and soon withdrawals is actually bad for SwC....I see some SwC regs posting in the WPN thread at 2 + 2 that they  will deposit as soon as the bitcoin withdrawal option is available. It may be soon that SwC is no longer the bitcoin leader.

I understand what you're sayin, but I think more poker players learning about bitcoin is a good thing for Seals.

Most poker players already play on multiple sites.  Current Seals players might start playing on WPN... but that doesn't mean they will quit playing on Seals.  You don't have to trade one for the other.

But, now there will be more WPN players who will just now learn about and set up bitcoin accounts.  Once they figure out how easy bitcoin is, they can be drawn in to adding Seals to sites they play on.

Yes it will work both ways....the question is what will be the net result of current SwC  playing some time at WPN vs players gained by some WPN players playing at SWC. We just have to wait and see. At any rate competition between sites will be good for the players as the sites that have the better playing conditions will be the wiinner in terms of adding players. So both SwC  and WPN will have to improve and get all their ducks in a row or risk loosing players.
Lately I have not had disconnects at SwC which is a plus but player pool is small and less large guaranteed tournys.  At BCP that I also use my gripe has been  intermittent lags while you play that occasionally make you loose hands and withdrawal is a pain in the ass or not cheap if you use their debit card. So if they can fix that by using bitcoin it may swing the pendulum in their favor due to larger player pool and bigger tournaments.

Is there anyway you can implement a monthly tournament, say like a $100 buy-in and have it be deep stack so like 15-30K chips? Since I play casino tournaments I'm not so inclined to play the Big BTC every weekend, but if there was a tournament like this I would definitely be interested. If the player pool was big enough I'm sure it would be successful.

Don't think many will register for it...even the Big BTC currently at about $75 does not get many entries...this site seems to be stuck in neutral for a year in about the same number of players even after the December promotions...don't know if it is the software, possible old Maven software security exploits concerns, or Micon's half naked videos but the site does not seem to be growing as fast as it should,..even with the great fast payouts, you would think that the site would grow faster then it has been doing.

I'm pretty sure that when you deposit at WPN, your bitcoin gets converted to a fiat amount and when you cashout the fiat gets converted back to a bitcoin amount.

You could theoretically deposit 5BTC, win $100, cashout and have less bitcoin than you did before.

At least with seals, if you win, you know you're gaining bitcoin.

There are 2 ways to look at it depending  on your preferences.  If you just want bitcoins and assume the risk or benefit of btc going up or down then SwC is better for you..  If you don't want to speculate on the price of btc, then WPN would be much better. You win $100 dollats and if you want to wihtdraw all they will send you the same  $$ amount you deposited in bitcoins plus
the winnings of $100 worth of bitcoins that you can sell roughly at the same price that they  converted and sent it you. Those who believe that bicoin is too speculative wouls prefer that.  Your example above goes both ways. You could deposit in SwC  1 btc. Win 1000 chips and if the price of btc goes down one half you have lost in $$ value all your winnings.

I may write code in exchange for bitcoins.
Yes, DoD was super-fun.  I have to admit it's basically the only place I play poker online (I'm obviously not terribly serious about it, however, I love jumping into a ring-game on my long bus rides).  I hope seals doesn't fall too far behind.  I still usually find plenty of action.

Yup, it only works for 2 players Limit Hold'em. Don't think it's possible to do the same for no limit games with more players. The luck factor would be too high to guarantee profit (or no loss).

Nope. If a bot could actually play optimal (the best, unbeatable, strategy) it would print money in every no limit hold em games, regardless the number of opponents. Obviously heads up games are A LOT more easy to solve.

FR would be the easiest for a bot to beat imo.

If anybody wants to send me any amount of BTC it will be greatly appreciated Smiley

I was about to report this to moderator for begging but then I thought that maybe there's some joke that I'm not getting.  Someone explain?

He was joking.  It was in response to the discussion about people getting scammed...

Not to blame the victims... but the best way to avoid getting scammed is to not send irreversible money to anonymous strangers on the internet.
